Vintage 1966 Mattel Side-Part American Girl Barbie Doll
Incredibly nice vintage 1966 Mattel blonde American Girl Barbie. She comes with an original AG box, gold wire stand, catalog, turquoise Japan heels and original striped swimsuit. Her body is in near mint condition; both knees click 3 times, there are no pin pricks, chew marks or swingy limbs. Her fingernail polish is still nice. Her head is nice, as well. She has no green ear, earring holes, neck splits, nose nips or damage. I touched up her eyelid ridges with acrylic. Her hair is shiny and curly. She has a couple of thinner plugs, but for the most part her hair is thick and lovely. The ribbon is vintage Color Magic Girl ribbon but was too short so I sewed a piece to the underneath in order to make it fit. The box is in good condition. Overall, this is a highly collectible set. Vintage Barbie 1965 Brunette American Girl Side Part with Box & Accessories
I have recently acquired an entire vintage Barbie collection and will be listing various dolls, clothing and accessories over the next few months.This listing is for a vintage 1965 - 1966 original brunette American Girl Side Part Barbie. Her face and arms are slightly darker than the rest of her body which is typical of this doll. She does not have any earring holes, green ear or neck splits. Her eyebrows are a bit faded near the ends. Her lipstick appears to be thin on the top lip but mostly there; just very light in color. Her brunette colored hair is very thick with no missing plugs. Her hair has been restyled with a new headband.She is on the correct bendable leg body with indented markings: "1958 Mattel, Inc., U.S. Patented, U.S. Pat. Pend., Made in Japan" with the number 4 on the other cheek. The body is in excellent condition! Her legs click tightly. She has all of her fingernail and toenail polish, however, the left toenails have some chips in the paint. No chews marks.She will come wearing her vintage swimsuit and turquoise open toed heels marked "JAPAN" that are in excellent condition. Her box is in fair condition due to it's age. Vintage Barbie Cousin Francie African American Doll 1966 Pristine
This 1st issued “colored” black version of Francie was the first African American Barbie doll made by Mattel in 1965. She is in pristine condition, no piercings, neck splits, discoloration, hair cuts, missing plugs. See photos, all of her rooted lashes are in tact, hair has original band, makeup is still perfect. She does have one dot on her left shoulder. Knees click and hold all three positions. Limps are tight, nothing loose. She comes with her original clear T stand and bathing suit. The delicate suit needs the straps reattached. There is a tear as shown at the rear. This doll is from my personal collection, stored in a climate controlled, pet and smoke free environment. Vintage 1966 Color Magic Hi-Color Ruby Red/Midnight Hair Barbie w/Closet/Acces
Beautiful 1966 ALL Original High Color Ruby Red/Midnight Color Magic with her closet and 3 NRFP Accessories, plus booklet with original shoes and original Color Magic Booklet, describing the "how too's" and stylng tips. She has beautiful ALL original face color, cheek's, eyes and lips are nice and bright, no rubs noted. Her "Right" eyebrow is "shorter" than the left, not sure if that is from a "rub" or factory. Her Hair is full, no missing plugs, but NOT thick. There are a few strands of "Black" hair mixed in with the Ruby Red, I can't honestly tell you if her hair had been changed and then changed back, I don't remember. I tried to get pictures, but I'm not a photographer, so apologies.NO Green Ear, no earring holes present.Her Body is in good condition, no loose limbs, however arm's are darkening and leg's are paling in some areas. Not sure if a good spa day would help this or not, I am not an expert.Her knees bend and click 3 times each, and there are no rips or tears anywhere on her body. The bottom of her feet are "dirty" and I attempted to get a pix of that.I am sorry that I was unable to give this girl a bath prior to sale, my age has gotten in the way.She has original nail polish on both hands (faint on Left), and none on her toes. As to the "closet", her box, it is missing the piece on the back that had a "clip" which was her "stand", that held her securely in the box, also the hanger extension and hanger. It has been broken/cracked at one end, both the purple bottom and the clear top due to play, age, storage, etc. Included is a NRFP set of ribbons and I think barettes ?, also the original color changers A and B, although I don't think I would use them due to age. Longer page-boy rare side-part style, ash blond hair color with bendable legs and painted facial features with blue eyes and eyeliner. She is wearing the original one piece swimsuit of solid turquoise blue bottom, multi-striped top, no shoes. Head/Face - No green ears. All hair still present. Head turns freely. No blemishes or marks. Eyeliner and lips missing small amount of color. Hands/Arms - swing freely and hold a pose. Most nail polish is intact. All fingers present with no chew marks. Very RARE HTF Diamond Swirl Travel Case with Side-Swirl Brunette Barbie, 1964
This is a Very Rare vintage Barbie set. Barbie is a brunette side-swirl ponytail with original bands and in immaculate original set, blue side-glancing eyes, blue eye shadow, coral lips, wearing her Fashion Queen gold and white striped swim suit and matching gold shoes. She is in her original travel case designed with separate compartment for Barbie and another separate compartment to hang her clothes. The vinyl travel case is a rare design of green white yellow and blue diamond swirl with image of American Girl Barbie face and Barbie logo, with stamp of SPP (Standard Plastic Products) and Mattel Toymakers. Mattel, near mint unplayed with condition, the doll is original to this case from 1964. After researching this set, I found only one other of these vintage Barbie sets that was auctioned years ago by Theriaults Auctions. I also found a picture of this set in the Manos’ 1983 The World of Barbie Dolls book which describes it as, “Barbie case with doll #2000 (1966 booklet).
