Rare Barbie #2 Brunette Ponytail Display Doll Silhouette Box Plantation Belle
eBay This is the rare Barbie #2 brunette ponytail display doll silhouette box plantation belle. This item is sold in used condition. In my opinion, it is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The item has wear / dirt on them, see pics. The bottom box has split on side and bottom inside/outside edge split. Both have tape on it. The top box lid has 3 corner / edge splits with tape on it. The doll front waist and back, arms have discolor from wearing dress. The left arm has small plastic pc sticking up near elbow. Rough plastic feeling on doll arm in that area, see pics. The arms and legs move up and down fine, but you must take it slow on the legs. They have not been used for long time, and are very stiff to move. The left leg is a harder to move, than the right. The doll right ear has something sticky? on ear, behind it, on hair, see pic. The left ear hole is ripped a little, see pic. The toes/ foot area have a little discolor on front and back, see pics. The dress is tagged, barbie r. The stand is marked tm, and on back marked Japan and Mattel International r, see pic. The necklace is broken. The earring is missing color on round part, see last pic. The white skirt is dirty around waist section. The barbie doll is marked tm. The tm is worn, have to see it on angle closeup. The store display box label says #866 plantation belle. Then under it #966, see pics. Some pics with flash made items brighter, but showed more detail. The doll is not bright white that some pics show. Pic #1 is a close match in color. Please use the pictures to judge the condition and bid on this item yourself.The doll was a store display doll in a large Allentown Pa department store. I got the doll over 30 years ago from original owner. This low production large display silhouette box outfit will make any collection better with this rare barbie set . Vintage Original Barbie #3 EarlyJapan Body~In Plantation Belle 966 Complete EUC
Stunning All original early issue Barbie Brunette Ponytail #3 with the earlier Ponytail body . There is a Japan stamp in box on her foot which makes her a rarer doll. Brunette #3’s are much rarer to find than their blonde counterparts because much more blondes were produced. This Barbie is so pretty, with original untouched face paint and lovely uncut dark hair still in topknot. Her hair has retained some factory curl. She has the early TM heavy solid cast vinyl body of the early Ponytail Barbies and she smells like crayons. Her skin color is very consistent all over. No green ear or missing digits. Nail polish is all original and untouched so it’s fading some. The ponytail box is in fair condition. It has some tape at the corners, and it has a box liner. The stand is in good condition without issues. She comes with her original pearl earrings (I have placed safe pearl earrings on doll) and booklet, sunglasses and #1 OT Heels .A complete Plantation Belle outfit with #1 pink heels, and a blue lingerie set. All of which in my opinion are in excellent condition. Also her body is smooth and has great even color and is free of scratches and stains ,and in my opinion is mint. At this point in history as BARBIE TURNS 65 years old ……the mint and near/mint number 3’s with the early Ponytail bodies can be rarer and harder to find !Please blow up and examine photos for condition and ask any questions you may have before purchasing. eBay 1960 #3 Brunette ponytail Barbie,with retained color and blue eye shadow! This #3 Barbie does not include her original box, although I do have a #5 party set box (#5 Barbie is not included). The party set box has the majority of its original clothing and accessories with additional outfits.This particular Barbie was acquired from the original owner, it has been very lightly handled. As you can see in the pictures, the make up and nail polish are in pristine condition as well as the entirety of the doll.Notes: Similar to Barbie number two doll, with new blue irises, new softer curve to eyebrows some dolls with brown or blue eyeliner, same black and white stripe swimsuit, white sunglasses with blue lenses, black open toe heeled shoes, some came with new pearl earrings, pedestal stand, cardboard box, and a Barbie booklet. This Barbie shows the line across the right thigh, she has retained her color and is well preserved. What is included?: The Box includes a two prong stand with base, 3 teenage clothing catalogue booklets, and a total of 7 outfits. Also includes blue shade sunglasses and black open toe heels for her swim outfit. She has accommodating shoes and some but not all original accessories that came with the outfits as you can see in the photos above. #966 RARE BARBIE " PLANTATION BELLE" SEALED IN BOX FROM 1959 NRFB!
All the pieces are held firmly inside of the box EXCEPT for the pearl earrings and I can only see one earring. Barbie booklet has ONLY Barbie pictured so from 1959 ~ 1960. The hat only has the nice pink color around the top and " bow with flower " see pictures.
