Vintage 1960s Ken & Allan Dolls w/Original Black Tag Clothes & Accessories LOT
eBay This lot includes 18 vintage 1960s Ken dolls & Allan dolls, complete with original black tag clothes and accessories. These dolls are perfect for collectors or those who appreciate vintage toys. The dolls are 12 inches in length and include 2 Allan dolls, 3 blonde molded hair Kens, 3 blonde flocked hair Kens, 7 brunette molded hair Kens, 1 brownette flocked hair Ken, and 2 brunette flocked hair Kens, as well as 18 genuine vintage Mattel black tag outfits with original Japan shoes, Clothes range in condition from good to excellent. All dolls are free of neck splits and missing digits. There are the following condition issues: brunette molded hair Ken wearing suit has bended legs/feet, all flocked heads have bald spots/rubbed off hair EXCEPT the brownette. Blonde molded hair Ken wearing black and red ski outfit has a scrape on his nose and his head/face is darker than the rest of him. Astronaut Allan has a darker face than the rest of him. There are some swingy arms here and there and several rubbed eyebrows and molded hair spots. They all hold a pose and are in generally good display shape. Smoke free home. The set includes original pieces, such as shoes, socks/tights, hats, sandals, hangers, and other doll accessories, including one set in unopened, nos condition. The dolls are in their original condition and are not personalized. They are part of the Ken and Allan series by Mattel, and were manufactured in Japan in 1967. They are in good condition, no neck splits, missing digits or nose nips. There is a couple of semi swingy arms, but they all hold a pose. Clothes range in condition from good to excellent. Here is a sophisticated, very rare Brownette Bubblecut Barbie doll in her original box with original accessories! This is only the 2nd Brownette Bubble that I've ran across in over 32 years of collecting! I believe these dolls were an experimental early version Bubblecut, and Mattel abandoned this pretty sable mink hair color early on in their production. Maybe it was hard to consistently get this color hair material, or perhaps it was more a marketing decision by Mattel; but regardless these dolls are rare and elegant! This doll has her early version Bubblecut box which is unmarked for hair color, her original zebra striped swimsuit, black Japan mules, fashion booklet, and black wire stand. Though I've pictured her in a OOAK fur coat and Golden Girl sheath with brown mules, those items aren't included in this sale, as they are from my personal collection. I never seen a box marked "Brownette" for hair color; I think Mattel put them all into unspecified early version Bubblecut boxes. This doll has had retouching on her brows and lips, and she looks quite lovely. She doesn't have any green ear stains, neck splits, or nose nips. I've collected vintage Barbie for 30+ years, and I scrutinize items I sell on eBay. If you have a question that my description hasn't answered, please ask me:) You may want to save me as a seller, as I'm selling a large vintage Barbie collection on eBay. This pretty girl has a light complexion that hasn't darkened from smoke or molds. She doesn't have any bad odors. Her medium size bubble has nice firm waves and curls, and it doesn't feel like it was combed out. The hair is in nice condition, and has a nice shine. Barbie's face doesn't look shiny or greasy. She has retouched fire engine red lips and dark eyebrows. She has some original smokey gray eyeshadow. She doesn't have any nose nips, neck splits, or any green ear stains. I've given her pearl on filament earrings, so there is no danger of her getting any staining. Barbie has an early hollow body marked Barbie MCMLVIII Japan on her right butt cheek. Her arms and legs are tight and hold all poses. Her body shows a heavier vinyl in her legs, that is faintly around the thighs and not perfectly smooth, much like the vinyl of #4 Barbies' bodies. This fits with my belief that Brownettes were an early version of Bubblecuts. She has all of her nail polish and no stains or poke marks. Her arms are a shade darker than the rest of her body, with her left arm being a little darker than the right arm, see pics #13-15. I do notice a small dark dot on the back of her left lower arm, see pic #15. Her legs are very slightly pigeon-toed. Her black and white zebra striped swimsuit is in Excellent shape with no holes or tears; there's a faint hint of soil on the left breast (left in the pics), and a little bit of the left leg edge stitching has come undone. The elastic at the suit top still is good. Her black mules are marked Japan on the bottom of 1 shoe, and don't have any splits. The black wire stand is straight with good welds, and no corrosion. The blue Barbie, Ken, and Midge booklet is in Near Mint shape with no writing or tears.The original early version Bubblecut box displays well; the front and side graphics display well, though there is a water stain on the lid's lower right corner, see pics #2, #17-20. Pic #2 overexposes the graphics somewhat; pic #17 shows the front of the box better. The sides of the lid aren't perfectly straight, and bow out a little bit. The bottom short end of the lid says "Stock No. 850 Bubble Cut", and there is a paper peel where the price tag was removed. The lid's top left corner split has been repaired, and the lid's lower right corner had a partial 1" tear that has been glued. The box's bottom has 3 repaired corners and a replaced liner. You will treasure seeing this rare Brownette Bubblecut Barbie in your vintage Barbie collection! Vintage Halina's Doll Fashions of Chicago black tuxedo Barbie size no doll
Up for sale for you today is a Vintage Halina’s doll fashions black tuxedo in good played with condition. I will describe each piece as I see it. The doll is not for sale in the auction. Please let me know if you want him also. He is a reflocked Vintage Ken Brownette Ken (hair is a reflock) Tuxedo: Is pure black. The light makes it look charcoal gray but it is black in very good to excellent Vintage condition. It is tagged Halina’s doll fashions of Chicago. An excellent tag. It has buttons on the front and back as they should be with the hoop on the front of the jacket that closes the jacket all intact. No fading, smell, or damage of any kind.Pants: Also very good to excellent condition with an elastic waist very elastic. The pants have no smells, fading or damage of any kind. Very very good.Shoes: Were with the outfit and are very good. They are not Mattel but came with this original outfit. They are not stamped Japan and have no markings. They are not damaged or split but are ready for display.Socks: have no holes but both are split 1/2 inch from the top back so they can slip on easily. The material is semi sheer. They are also ready for display.Vest: has the shirt and vest together as one piece. The white part of the shirt is dingy and needs a light wash. The sleeves are short so that the tuxedo fits easily on the doll without the long sleeve interfering with the final look of the outfit. All the snaps are secured and are shiny.. one snap on the front right side of the vest at the bottom has some raveling of the material seen in the last picture.Tie: The elastic is hanging on literally by a thread. I am not sure if this is the original tie but it did come with this outfit. The tie itself is very good with no fading or damage but the elastic is loose and may need replaced for a more clean look.This outfit is very rare and hard to find. I bought this at an outside antique show, about 10 years ago, and he was all together on a fashion doll. I looked the outfit up on eBay and found one had sold for Over $500. Set Of 4 WORKING Vintage Mattel Talking Dolls Barbie Ken PJ Stacey In OSS TLC
A great find. Four working, refurbished vintage Mattel Talking Barbie Dolls from circa 1967, gathered from multiple original homes. Some have original parts, but others needed leg transplants. These dolls all talk well with some care, but have some specific quirks. I’ve refurbished a great very many of these dolls, and almost all of them will have similar quirks after refurbishing. Video demonstrates this somewhat Specifics:Barbie Mexico body and head. Face is slightly pale/yellower than body. Has most of her eyelashes and original face paint. Hair is Brownette color and very full. Pink bows have been added and secured with glue. Neck has a slight chunk cut out of it on the left side. However, her talking mechanism is the best of the bunch. Pull it straight out, and let it go to hear Barbie speak all of her original phrases. She may occasionally warble, but just have patience and she’ll clear up again. Swimsuit is missing the elastic in the back. Legs and arms move well with a gentle touch. Knees click! Left leg has a tendency to come off. May need further reinforcement. Ken- Mexico body and head. Head is squishy, not hard, and still maintains a general pinkish peach color. Legs and arms move well. Body is great. Legs and arms move well with a gentle touch. Knees click! Talking mechanism works, but warbles and needs some attention. Pull the cord all the way out and Ken will speak - eventually. He pauses and sometimes needs a little pat on the back to say what’s on his mind. He may warble. Swimsuit top and bottoms are in great condition, just have some threads gathered inside. Stacey-Hong Kong body and head. Stacey has some of her original eyelashes and her copper hair is somewhat thinning. A green bow has been added and secured. Face paint looks great. Her swimsuit top has had a white thread added to secure it in place. Not elastic! Legs and arms move well with a gentle touch. Knees click! Talking mechanism works, but warbles and needs some manual attention. Pull the cord and as you ease it back in gently, Stacey will utter her phrases with her unique British accent! She may occasionally warble, but just have patience and she’ll clear up again. PJ-Mexico body and head. PJ’s got her original bubble sunglasses attached to her head. No seed beads, but you can add your own! Legs and arms move well with a gentle touch. Knees click! Left leg bowed slightly inward. Floral print dress has original snaps, and panties included. Shoes not original, but pink pilgrims! Talking mechanism works, but warbles and needs some manual attention. Pull the cord and as you ease it back in gently, PJ will utter her phrases with her Valley Girl vibes! She may occasionally warble, but just have patience and she’ll clear up again. Great set of dolls for the mod Barbie era collector! (Condition: Pre-Owned)
