Vintage 1965 Side-Part American Girl Barbie Factory Set Hair MIB w/Accessories
Extraordinary vintage Mattel 1965 Side-Part American Girl Barbie doll, ash blonde, with original swimsuit, turquoise Japan heels, catalog, box and gold wire stand, as well as an unattached original Mattel wrist tag that she would have come with. She has obviously never been played with, as her original factory set hair is untouched, her makeup and polish on fingernails and toes is original and untouched, and her hair string is still intact. She has the very rare green hair band, the mostly American version coarse hair texture and shorter bangs, as well as the frosty cheek and lip color. Her body and head are both in near mint condition; she has 2 small spots of light green on her left upper arm. Her limbs are all tight, and no swinging occurs. She has no earring holes, no green ear, of course, no neck splits, nose nips, chew marks, or damage. Both knees click 3 times but hold a pose at 2 clicks. Her swimsuit is in good condition. Box has a little weather. A couple of corners are torn. Extraordinary treasure that I was lucky enough to get in my possession. Smoke-free home. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

My aunt owned a paint store in 1959 when I was 10 years old. She also sold toys in a special section upstairs and my sister and I looked forward every year to visiting her shop and picking out things we wanted to put on our Christmas list. My birthday is in November, and the year I turned 10, she gave me one of the first Mattel Barbies made in Japan. I thought Barbie wasn’t very pretty, but I loved her clothes. She is long gone, but her outfits are alive and in excellent condition, as I became obsessed with her clothes. I would not let anyone touch my Barbie, and on every Birthday and Christmas until I became a teen, all I asked for were Barbie outfits. She had more clothes than I ever dreamed of having. Now I am 73 years old and have 2 beautiful granddaughters and 7 great nieces who love Barbie too. I would love to leave this cherished collection to my granddaughters or a great nieces, but none of them would ever value these items as I did. They would end up lost, tossed aside or in the trash. So, as much as it breaks my heart to sell these items, I feel selling them can benefit my education in the future. A few pieces were missing, like an earring or glove, but replaced by me. Vintage Barbie Brownette Side Part Side-Part American Girl, Suit, Japan Mules
eBay IMPORTANT: PHOTOS ARE MOST ACCURATE DESCRIPTION Hair is thick and full. No cuts or trims, none missing. The bangs in front of her side-part are a bit wonky and want to stand up, but the ribbon will help train them down. I'm confident it was not cut, just one of those weird things that sometimes happened with these dolls. I'm confident because this doll and her twin were obviously owned by kids who played very, very gently with their dolls (judging by the dolls and all their clothing, 2 of everything) and I cannot see kids like that trimming hair. Ribbon has been replaced. Original paint. No damage to nose or neck. No earring holes, no green. Tush markings are indented and raised. Body is tight. Left knee holds 3 clicks back, right holds 2. She has a grayish-blue mark on the back of each calf that probably cannot be removed. No chews or pinpricks to feet or legs. Suit is tagged (tag is badly frayed) and nice, left mule marked Japan.Due to a recent incident/loss, any item over $50 in value must be shipped Priority; no exceptions. There is still a small package drifting around and USPS cannot find it; therefore, I was forced to refund the buyer nearly $60, though I followed every protocol. Since Priority is always insured to $100, I am now forced to use this to save my own bacon. This is my source of income and I'm not Walmart or Amazon, to be able to issue refunds and not feel it. Five books with names of many other outfits which we have...for example, American Airlines Stewardess; Sheath Sensation; Solo in the Spotlight; Let's Dance; Cruise Striped Dress; Resort Set with tennis racket; Registered Nurse; Graduation Gown and Hat; Busy Gal; Cotton Casual; Friday Night Date; Basic Barbie Doll Fashion Model Set (the black and white striped swimsuit, two of those); After Five; Career Girl; Sweet Dreams; several mix and match; pajamas (2 pair) and a slip. Accessories: cooking (apple, Barbie tray, orange juice (2), spatula, spoon, rolling pin); soap; ten hats; nine purses; 31 hangers; 18 pairs of shoes, various colors; the pink phone; a Barbie design portfolio; as well as more accessories, stockings, tights; white and black gloves, long and short, 2 rabbit stoles, (one is missing a hook), 9 purses. The white box says TM Lic., by Mattel, Inc. 1961--there are two circles, mostly black; the larger black one with Solo on it (here in a brown dress, we have the black one), says R in a circle TM Lic., & C in a circle, by Mattel Inc. 1962. Condition is very good on most things, some things and clothes are like new, some have a few flaws like a stain but these can be washed, or as on the Enchanted Evening, i think shld be dry cleaned; but on the whole everything is in very good condition, see photos, everything is in there; all of this has been owned by one person since childhood. One of the books has marks which we think showed her mother and grandmother what had been bought so they knew what to choose from next. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Vintage Barbie Sidepart American Girl Doll RARE Nutmeg/Cinnamon All Original
Her hair is fabulous, thick and in original set. Very hard to find hair color. One is plain and one is marked Japan. She is a loose doll, and is not 100% mint. She is all original with no re-touches at all.
