The set includes a single-owner No. 1 Blonde Barbie with metal tubes in feet. She is in excellent shape and comes with original vinyl case, accessories, and shoes.The doll is part of a one-owner collection and has been kept in spectacular condition. #1 Ponytail Barbie #850 1959 One owner, my mother who became a fashion merchandiser and lampshade designer. She loved this doll and it comes with many original partial outfits, detailed below. She even had some outfits handmade for this doll, in 1960, which we're including as part of this dolls story. The doll was purchased in 1959-1960 for my mom when she was eleven by her older sister from Uncle Tom’s Toys (now Tom’s Toys) at 682 Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo, California, and Tom's is still in business. All of the other outfits were also purchased around the same time. I am offering this rare and highly sought after #2 Vintage Brunette Ponytail Barbie from 1959 for sale. This is my doll which was given to me by my grandmother when I was 6 years old. She taught me to take very good care of her. I tried to do that. My husband has recently passed away and I am faced with financial challenges. The Model 850 doll, with the original box, accessories, and documents from 1959 are all in good condition (see photos). The doll was “gently played with” for only a short period of time in 1959. Her hair was never disturbed and still has the original rubber band. No restoration work has been done. There are holes in the feet with metal cylinders in both legs which fit onto the original black two-pronged stand, stamped Barbie T.M. By Mattel. The doll is also marked Barbie T.M. on the right buttock, and Japan on the right foot bottom, thus verifying authenticity The box is marked Barbie T.M., Teen Age Fashion Model, 1959. This is an original 1959 Mattel Barbie #1 Blonde Ponytail doll acquired from the original owner who has had her carefully stored for many decades. The doll is being sold together with all of the clothing items and accessories shown in the first photo. All clothes and accessories in pictures included and they are very well preserved and all original vintage Barbie items very close to museum quality.Barbie is pristine with beautiful makeup and polish on toes and fingernails. She has no green ear .There is a very slight grey spot on her back. Her hair is lovely and she has a mostly even white color all over. 1960 Vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie, Brown Eyeliner, w/Extras, Original Owner
My treasure is your great find with this early Mattel number 3 Barbie!This all original vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie with blue eyes and brown eyeliner has been safely stored for more than 60 years. I am the original owner. As a child, I was very careful with my Barbie and she is in excellent vintage condition. She was gently handled and well cared for. Always in a smoke free home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses which are missing one arm. Although Barbie is the real find here... she also comes with eleven outfits and the storage trunk box she has rested in for decades. Most of the clothes are in excellent condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also some rare items like a blue bubble dress and Barbie's tiny vinyl record, titled, "No Thank You."Her face paint, lipstick, delicate cheek blush, nail polish, and toenail polish are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! Her soft shiny hair is beautiful with poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her pony tail broke while I was photographing her so I replaced it. She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces.She has JAPAN lengthwise on the bottom of her right foot. And an "O" is slightly visible on her other foot where I wrote my initial. She has some discoloration on one foot from the shoe.Her solid body is clean. She has all her fingers and toes. Her neck and torso have faded slightly to a lighter ivory color. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration on her right cheek. (See photo)Her left leg doesn't move and I didn't want to force it. But her right leg, arms and head move as they should with tight joints. She has a tiny pin point speck of green behind each earing which is barely visible. Look at this BEAUTIFUL Barbie doll!! She comes in her original HTF pink box that was only produced for a short time. The box has some wear but looks pretty good. There is no label on the box. She has her round black stand that displays well but has a chip out of the back edge. See pictures.Her “pretty in pink” outfit is in great condition. Comes with the lovely chiffon dress, big hat,White underslip, beaded purse, pink open toe mules, pink necklace, snake bracelet, and pink earrings. The jewelry has some missing paint but looks pretty good, bracelet look whiter than other jewelry. The dress looks clean with working zipper and no tears or frays. The Giant hat has one “holder” pushed down so it doesn’t grab her head but still displays beautifully! Shoes have no splits. Her cute beaded bag is in nice condition too! Her bracelet was left out of most pictures but it included!Barbie is gorgeous with dark hair that is a little messy but still in the original ponytail, all original face paint with no wear that I can see. Her body looks good,very pale as the #3 Barbie’s are apt to be. No missing digits,polish still intact. There is some mottling here and there that looks to be from her necklace and bracelet that have been on her for many years until I removed them recently.
