1959 VINTAGE BRUNETTE #1 PONYTAIL BARBIE DOLLALL ORIGINAL FACE PAINTThe Holy Grail of Barbie Collecting!INCLUDES ORIGINAL TM BOX, ZEBRA STRIPED SWIMSUIT, OPEN TOED SHOES, SUNGLASSES & BOOKLETUp for auction is a beautiful brunette #1 Ponytail Barbie doll with all original face paint. She is the holy grail of Barbie collecting. Her face paint is gorgeous! She has a few pin pricks on the side of her face, but they do not detract at all.Her ponytail has been retied and her hard curl restored. Her ponytail is thick; her bangs are a little thin but still ok. I do not see any missing plugs.Her body has faded to a very nice, pale color; not ghostly. She has no green ear, no foul odors, and the tubes in both feet are present. The tubes do not protrude like most do, so you can get her shoes on. Most tubes protrude beyond the foot which makes the shoes impossible to get on. Japan is written across the bottom of her right foot, she has a nice stance, and holds all poses well. The nail polish on her right hand is all original, the polish on her left hand has been touched up. The tips of her toes have had some repair, I'm not sure what because you cannot see any repair from the bottom. I almost did not notice that she had some repair to her toes.She will come with her original TM box which has seen better days. The top has taped ends and one side has been taped; the bottom is a reproduction. The shoes are nice, the booklet is perfect, the sunglasses have a broken arm (one is shorter than the other, but they still work fine), the swimsuit is a little loose on top. Rare Barbie #2 Brunette Ponytail Display Doll Silhouette Box Plantation Belle
eBay This is the rare Barbie #2 brunette ponytail display doll silhouette box plantation belle. This item is sold in used condition. In my opinion, it is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The item has wear / dirt on them, see pics. The bottom box has split on side and bottom inside/outside edge split. Both have tape on it. The top box lid has 3 corner / edge splits with tape on it. The doll front waist and back, arms have discolor from wearing dress. The left arm has small plastic pc sticking up near elbow. Rough plastic feeling on doll arm in that area, see pics. The arms and legs move up and down fine, but you must take it slow on the legs. They have not been used for long time, and are very stiff to move. The left leg is a harder to move, than the right. The doll right ear has something sticky? on ear, behind it, on hair, see pic. The left ear hole is ripped a little, see pic. The toes/ foot area have a little discolor on front and back, see pics. The dress is tagged, barbie r. The stand is marked tm, and on back marked Japan and Mattel International r, see pic. The necklace is broken. The earring is missing color on round part, see last pic. The white skirt is dirty around waist section. The barbie doll is marked tm. The tm is worn, have to see it on angle closeup. The store display box label says #866 plantation belle. Then under it #966, see pics. Some pics with flash made items brighter, but showed more detail. The doll is not bright white that some pics show. Pic #1 is a close match in color. Vintage 1959 #2 Brunette Ponytail Barbie doll with TM Box, Stand, & Fashion book
I have a vintage 1959 original #2 brunette ponytail Barbie doll up for auction. She has a heavy solid body, faded almost white. She has arched eyebrows and white irises, only seen on the #1 and #2 dolls. She is a #2 so she has no holes in her feet. While not mint, she is in very good to excellent condition.The doll has no missing fingers or toes and no swingy arms or legs. Her face paint is very good. Her brunette hair is in a ponytail with original poodle curl bangs and no missing plugs. The top and bottom rubber bands on the ponytail are present, so they must have been replaced. Barbie’s head, torso and limbs are faded to the same shade. She has red nails, in very good condition. She has been stored in a smoke free home.She is 65 years old, has been displayed in clothes for years, and is not perfect. She has a small pin dot size dark mark on her upper back, near the neck, and a small (1/4 inch long) cut on the backside of her right upper arm (see photos). Some small pieces of hair appear broken off (see photos). She has light mold marks on the hips (see photo). Her color is somewhat uneven, maybe stains from clothes or exposure to sunlight. TLC -- Vintage #1 Ponytail Barbie Body 1959 with Holes In Feet
This was a #1 Barbie body purchased from a very respected collector. However, she is a bit TLC. - Her knock knob was broken and repaired with a screw- Her toes are mostly missing from one foot, with a chip on the other foot. - Coloring is uneven in places, with couple very light spots on chest/neck. A few small dark spots. Have cleaned with soap and water, but have not given a thorough scrub. Unsure if that will help. - Dents / bite marks on arm- Both copper tubes are there, but one is pushed in. Did not realize it was there until taking close-up photos for listing. Vintage 1966 Color Magic Hi-Color Ruby Red/Midnight Hair Barbie w/Closet/Acces
Beautiful 1966 ALL Original High Color Ruby Red/Midnight Color Magic with her closet and 3 NRFP Accessories, plus booklet with original shoes and original Color Magic Booklet, describing the "how too's" and stylng tips. She has beautiful ALL original face color, cheek's, eyes and lips are nice and bright, no rubs noted. Her "Right" eyebrow is "shorter" than the left, not sure if that is from a "rub" or factory. Her Hair is full, no missing plugs, but NOT thick. There are a few strands of "Black" hair mixed in with the Ruby Red, I can't honestly tell you if her hair had been changed and then changed back, I don't remember. I tried to get pictures, but I'm not a photographer, so apologies.NO Green Ear, no earring holes present.Her Body is in good condition, no loose limbs, however arm's are darkening and leg's are paling in some areas. Not sure if a good spa day would help this or not, I am not an expert.Her knees bend and click 3 times each, and there are no rips or tears anywhere on her body. The bottom of her feet are "dirty" and I attempted to get a pix of that.I am sorry that I was unable to give this girl a bath prior to sale, my age has gotten in the way.She has original nail polish on both hands (faint on Left), and none on her toes. As to the "closet", her box, it is missing the piece on the back that had a "clip" which was her "stand", that held her securely in the box, also the hanger extension and hanger. It has been broken/cracked at one end, both the purple bottom and the clear top due to play, age, storage, etc. Included is a NRFP set of ribbons and I think barettes ?, also the original color changers A and B, although I don't think I would use them due to age. Vintage Barbie Blonde #3 Ponytail +TM box
Offered for sale is a beautiful vintage Barbie #3 with blonde hair styled in the iconic ponytail from 1959. This 11-inch fashion doll is a Mattel original and comes with all the accessories, clothing, and packaging that was included at the time of her sale. The doll has been well-preserved and is in beautiful original condition, with no known restoration. She still has her original top knot and lower band that has broken. No nose nip, neck splits or green ear ever. I have owned her for quite a few years. She has what I believe are awning bangs that consist of two rows. She has the early . She hasca very heavy body with the rare Japan heel box, mainly used on the #2 ponytail dolls and early # 3s. She also has the off set looking eyes that seem to be on the early #3 dolls. Her eyes are a vivid blue. She has had the shoe stains on her feet since I have owned her, I therefore leave her shoes on . It has not gotten worse. She has a tiny mold flaw on the inside of her arm. See pics. Her box has good graphics. It does have one split seam and a little paper missing on one end, maybe from a sticker removal. The stand is in overall very nice shape and works well. Tiny chip that is near the post hole. Enthusiasts and purists will appreciate the originality and authenticity of this doll complete with the original TM box and stand. Mattel 1960 #3 Brunette Barbie with brown eyeliner, original owner
My mother is the original owner of this 1960 Mattel #3 Brunette Barbie doll with brown eyeliner (only #3’s have brown eyeliner), stock #850 (made in Japan; stamped “Japan” on bottoms of both her feet). It comes with all the original items: box, little brochure with pages of Barbie fashions, metal stand, hoop earrings, sunglasses with blue lens, black and white bathing suit and high heels. Face painting, hairdo, fingernail and toenail polish are all original and in perfect condition. She has the faded skin that you see in Barbie’s 1 thru 3 and the crayon scent. She is also one of the few Barbies with nipples!This doll has never been played with. Having said that, there are minor defects that have occurred with the passage of time. Please see photos for details but they include:1. Minor discoloration spot on forehead (upper right) as well as on right shoulder and at joint for arm and shoulder. Also, slight difference in color on upper right back (please see photos). These sorts of spots do occur with age. This is NO greening around the earrings.2. One high heel has a broken strap (please see photo). I have not attempted repair but I think this can be done.3. Because the shoes were left on the doll, the black plastic shoes have discolored the doll’s feet (please see photo). However, with the shoes on, this defect cannot be seen.4. There is also a small crack in the base of the stand but it still works well (see photo).5. The box has one end severed at the edges (flap intact) and the other end has a small water mark (please see photos)For an almost 64 year old doll, she is in very good condition. eBay This is a gorgeous #3 blonde Barbie in her original swimsuit. She has an exceptionally soft look on her beautiful face. Her facepaint is perfect and all original, no rubs, no green, no neck splits. She has very long, thick hair, out of the original set, but will make a beautiful ponytail once it is re-set. She is on the rarer, earlier #2 Barbie body. The Japan stamp is inside a rectangular box on the bottom of her right foot. Her TM Barbie body has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. Legs and arms are straight and tight. She has all her red nails and toe polish. She has a little surface dirt, on her left hand she has a broken finger, and there is a factory blemish on her left arm, it's not really noticable. The #3 Barbie model in the photos is NOT INCLUDED. This ensemble is in very nice condition; one sleeve of the dress has a small area that needs rehemmed, but is not torn. I added a clear rubberband to the top tie, the bottom rubberband is present but is dry and broken, the original ribbons are in place and have not been retied. FACE Her complexion is absolutely mint! Zero fading and zero darkening. Her face looks brand new! Zero rubs to her make up, unfortunately she is missing two eyelashes. Neither ear is pierced. Zero neckplits. TORSO Perfect torso. Free of scratches and melt marks. Very clean. Stamped MEXICO on her rear. ARMS Both arms are haven't been cleaned using a strong detergent removing the slick coating Each shoulder is semi stained. I do not recommend moving either arm due to the age. HANDS All fingers are intact with zero pin holes. Very clean. LEGS Barbie's legs are perfect. Absolutely zero flaws to the vinyl, both are stain free and function with three hard clicks. Zero pin holes. Unfortunately there are grey stains on each of Barbie's hips. Each leg is attached with the original mechanism, however, the left leg is not as tight. I do not recommend moving either leg. Unfortunately the legs of the "Talking Barbie" from 1967 and 1968 tend to break. FEET Perfect feet. All toes are present. Zero pin holes. DRESS Yellow Ruffled Lamé Gown - Excellent to near mint condition. The material is bright and clean, however the dress appears soiled in the photo's, which it is not. Please contact me for additional photo's. All threads are tightly woven with zero pulls and zero snags... The metallic silver threads have not lost their luster. Absolutely zero holes and zero repairs. The only visible flaw is the yellow polyester underskirt, faint wrinkles. SHOES I have paired Barbie's hot pink closed to heels with the "Fabulous Formal" gown. They are free of fading, chips and splits. Each have a straight heel. Both are stamped JAPAN. PURSE Barbie's gold dimple purse has been added to the set. It is in excellent condition. HANGER The pink filigree Barbie hanger is included. TALKING GOOD LOOKIN' KEN Talking Ken is mute, however, he is in nice displayable condition. Minor fading to his face. Zero hair rubs. Unfortunately his head was glued on, most likely due to a chip of plastic missing from the front of his neck. His pull string does not move and I would not recommend attempting. His arms, hands, legs and rear have surface marks. Both of his arms are functioning, as well as his legs. His rear is stamped MEXCIO. Ken is in good condition. DRESS SHIRT Near excellent condition. The material is bright and clean with all gold threading intact on the tie. The back button has been replaced, the loop is intact but is dried and stretched. VEST Excellent condition. The front of the vest is bright, bold and clean with all three original gold buttons intact and secure. Slight age discoloration to the back. All seams are intact; zero repairs. GOLD JACKET Near mint condition. The material is bright, bold and clean; non faded. Free of holes and stains. The jacket is free of repairs. The Ken label is secure with zero fraying. SLACKS The slacks included with the set are original, they are in excellent condition, bright and clean, one small rust dot can be found on the front right side of the slacks. The YKK zipper is functioning. Free of holes and repairs. WHITE SOCKS Ken's original socks are in excellent condition. Neither of the socks are stretched. One is slightly discolored. Free of holes. WHITE LOAFERS Both are in excellent condition. Each shoe reads Hong Kong on the inside. Free of stains. THE BOOKLET IS INCLUDED.
