Beautiful Vintage #1 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner OG Stand & Collection!

RARE FIND! Number One Blonde Ponytail Barbie with the Original Early Fashions, Pronged TM Mattel #1 Stand Accessories and Case Little nine year old Alice received the first issue Barbie teenage fashion doll for Christmas in 1959. Mattel’s Barbie had just made her debut at the International Toy show in New York. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special number one Barbie with the original “one owner” childhood collection. It includes many early fashions, complete with the jewelry and accessories This Ponytail Barbie is stunning with her cute upturned nose and signature ponytail. She has dramatic lightning shaped eyebrows and handpainted makeup ; blue side glancing eyes, blue eyeliner, smoky eye shadow, coral red lips, red fingernails and toenails. She’s truly stunning and in remarkable condition for being 64 years old. She is 99% original and retains most of her original factory characteristics This number one blonde ponytail has the extended hairline, which is different from the number threes and later dolls. She is very unusual and rare in that she has two distinctly different hairlines from left to right. Her right side is curved and differs from the straighter hairline on the left. She is wearing her original hairstyle set with the top knot and hard curl at the bottom. The ponytail has been retied with matching colored thread as the band was shot. Her hair is uncut and she has no missing plugs. She has a flocked scalp, silky floss hair in baby chick yellow, full poodle bangs with well defined curls and a cute spit curl on her forehead. Her make up is excellent. as is the the nail and toenail polish. She has all of the correct markings on her bottom; Mattel Barbie TM, 1958 in Roman numerals, pat pending and the number 65. She is marked Japan on the bottom of one foot. Her limbs are nice and tight, but she is able to hold any pose. Her neck moves freely, and there are no issues. She has beautiful and even creamy, pale pinkish ivory body color which is amazing as I e usually sees a in e sort of fading . She has beautiful straight legs with the desired daylight shown only between the thigh and knee , and knee and ankle…A sign of classical beauty with models. She has holes in each of her feet with the original copper tubes present. And she even has her original Mattel TM two prong stand which is very valuable! She has had very minor work done.. a professional restoration to her right pinky and a little touch up to her eyelash ridges. There was also one teeny pinpoint freckle on her left leg just below the knee that has been touched up to match the body color . If you look closely at the photos, you will see how gorgeous this doll is. I have not seen one in original condition that is this outstanding. Barbie has a boyfriend , Ken, who will be listed in a separate listing. Blonde Barbie comes with her original iconic black and white swimsuit, white cat, eyeglasses, black, OT mules with holes. Thankfully her feet do not have any of the staining that is typical with these Barbies. She also has her original gold bangle, hoop earrings! One hole per ear and no green ear! How perfect is this girl?! She is FABULOUS! It was so fun to find Barbie in her original little nest with all the fun boxes and precious accessories that Alice had lovingly kept and preserved. You can tell that this Barbie was truly loved and treasured. eBay Stunning Original 1959 Blonde #3 Ponytail Barbie with Original Swimsuit, Sunglasses Stand Booklet and Case Fresh from a one owner estate comes this beautiful original blonde ponytail Barbie from 1959. Stock model number 850.. the original teenage fashion, model doll! She is the third issue Mattel Barbie and is in wonderful untouched original condition with no touchups. She has her original hard curl on her ponytail, which has been retied with a matching colored thread. She has that beautiful, baby chick, soft blonde floss hair with a flocked scalp. No missing plugs. And a beautiful full array of curly poodle bangs with a Darling spit curl coming down onto her forehead. She has a beautiful face with side, glancing blue eyes and blue eyeliner. This is one of the more rare versions of Ponytail Barbie as the majority of the #3’s had brown eyeliner . In the Barbie Bazaar magazine, there is a reference to some rare transitional number three Barbies, and this is one of those rare Barbies. For the most part she has even pinkish Body color, some very light fading from her waist to her upper torso no doubt from wearing her swimsuit for many years. The third issue dolls were prone to fading almost completely to white so it is nice that this girl has retained a lot of her original color. She is simply stunning . She retains quite a lot of her fingernail polish. Her right pinky has a darkened tip but no damage. Wonderful original make up with some fading to the lips and a little area at the very end of her left eyebrow .This girl is original with NO TOUCH UPS! And she has the heady smell of crayons ;0). No chew marks, holes or other problems to note. One whole per ear. She is on a solid TM body and has clear markings on her bottom. Number 26 on her left bottom cheek, and Barbie TM Patent Pending, 1958 in Roman numerals by Mattel Japan, Marked Japan on bottom of foot. She comes with an original stock 850 box which is in fantastic condition with very vibrant graphics. The Gay Parisienne version. It is one of the best boxes I have ever seen with virtually no fading, it almost looks new. Amazing! . There is one indented end and the date 1959 has been circled but otherwise the boxes fantastic. Original paint on face, some light wear on eyebrows. Bottom of right foot stamped Japan. Light marks on tip of nose. Non-bending joints, Joints are mostly tight, arms are a touch loose. No bite marks on feet but possibly on hands, (not terrible, but some blemishes there.) - "Ken in Mexico" outfit looks complete, pants have little intact stirrups, has original black cowboy boots and paper insert. (There is also an insert for Barbie in Mexico but no doll or clothes found.) - Original Ken (1960) Bottom stamped Hawthorn CA USA. Painted on blonde hair shows some wear around the crown of the head. Face paint is original and looks great. No chew marks. Some discoloration on shoulders. Joints are loose, do not bend. - 1960s Brunette Bubblecut Barbie. Red lips and a sideways glance. Vintage #3 Brunette Ponytail Barbie Doll No Play TM Box Booklet Stand 1960

Vintage Original #3 TM Brunette Barbie Doll No. 850 from 1960 in her original TM box with insert & wearing her original zebra stripe swimming suit. She comes with her original black mules (with holes), TM booklet, TM pedestal stand (TLC wire), and blue lens sunglasses. Seriously, I think this doll may be the prettiest Barbie I have ever seen. She is so beautiful and looks like she has never been played with. Her hair is in it's original ponytail with curl and back rubber band. No missing hair or issues I can find. Either someone removed her earrings or she missed getting any originally, so she has no green ear at all (woo hoo!). No neck splits. Her face paint is original and looks perfect. Her lips and blush are a little on the orangey-red side and look gorgeous. Her body is a TM solid body & nearly perfect with just a couple age related issues. I just gently removed her swimming suit, gave her a mild wipe-down took photos and put it back on. She has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color. But, since she had been wearing her shoes all these years, the dye in the #1 mules has seeped into her feet and given them a maroon color in the shape of the shoes. I haven't tried to do anything to remove it. She seems to have a black spec on her right breast as well. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. It looks like just one little chip of the paint on her right thumb. She is wearing her original zebra stripe swimming suit. No holes, stains or odors. The white is a little more ivory from age. She comes with her original black mules which are actually #1/2 shoes with the holes in the bottoms. She also has her original white cat eye sunglasses with blue lenses. No issues I can find. Her original TM pedestal stand is also included. The base is in great shape, but the wire stand part has broken into 2 pieces where they connect. Maybe you have an idea to repair it? I was thinking welding (out of my comfort zone) or super glue. She comes in her original TM box with "neck holding" insert. It has the "Brunette" overlay sticker on the end. It has a few issues- tape at a few corners and a split corner on the upper left top and bottom box. But, overall still really good shape for its age. She has faded to an bit of an uneven ivory color - she has fading on each limb, torso and face (underneath chin) and she smells strongly like crayons - but, since she had been wearing her shoes all these years she does have a bit of fading to ivory across her feet. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. She is wearing her original zebra stripe swimming suit. No holes, stains or odors. She comes with her original black mules and her original #3 pedistal stand. She also has her original white cat eye sunglasses with blue lenses and original booklet. No issues I can find. Her hair is stilll in the original set but a bit flat from being in her box all these years! She has brown eyeliner, blue eyes and her lips are full and red and look gorgeous. Her body is a TM solid body & nearly perfect with just a couple age related issues. I just gently removed her swimming suit, took photos and put it back on. She has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons - but, since she had been wearing her shoes all these years, the dye in the #1 mules has seeped into her feet and given them a maroon color in the shape of the shoes. I haven't tried to do anything to remove it and I have not tried to clean her. She seems to have a plastic spec on her left breast as well as a few other marks here or there. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish but it is a bit worn from play. She is wearing her original zebra stripe swimming suit. No holes, stains or odors. She comes with her original black mules which are actually #1/2 shoes with the holes in the bottoms. She also has her original white cat eye sunglasses with blue lenses. No issues I can find. Her hair is not perfect - the rubber binders were disintigrating and came out so I added a band to keep her hair in the ponytail. Hair is still shiny but could use a day at the beauty salon! She comes in her original TM box. It has the "Brunette" on the end. It has a few very minor issues- tape on one corner of top box and a split corner on the bottom left of top box - bottom box looks great - minor small tear on one corner. Overall still really good shape for its age. No issues with the TM booklet. She also has a black wire stand - this was with her so will stay with her but it is not the correct stand for her. I always strive for 5 star feedback~ Here we go!This listing includes: 1. Blonde Barbie doll #3. This girl is beautiful! She has evenly faded to an all over soft, creamy white. Her hair is in its original set~ she does have a few flyaways. Her makeup is nice and she has brown eyeliner. She has all her fingers & toes and the red polish on the tips looks nice to me. Barbie has a pinhead size nick on her abdomen, which is circled for you to see. She has what looks to me like a mold seam (its not a crack) under one arm, I have no idea if this is something that’s actually a flaw, but I did circle it for you to view. I see one pin tip size spot on her hip (also circled), and a pin tip spot on the back of one calf (circled). She has a pin head size green ear spots that are easily covered with earrings. 2. Original TM box~ The box is not in the best condition~ it’s definitely seen better days. All the corners on the graphic half of the box have split and have been taped. There is browning on both halves of the box. The graphics also have browning. This box has been around the block, but it doesnt smell weird and its kept Barbie safe for many years! 3. Original pedestal and wire stand~ Marked with an R. There are no chips, but it does have scratches on it. The scratches can be viewed in the pictures. 4. Original Barbie booklet insert~ The back of the booklet has a hole, tape on the back, and it does not have Gay Parisienne. 5. Original earrings~ They’re unbroken, I’m not sure what else to say about them. 6. Original swimsuit~ It could use a wash to brighten the white stripes, but its otherwise fine. It comes with Barbie’s original black Japan heels and white cat eye sunglasses. 7. Original black mule heels~ One shoe is marked Japan, the other is blank. 8. There are no rips, stains, or holes on the dress and there is no Barbie tag inside the dress. The outer fabric of the coat is free of rips, stains, or holes, but the white stripes aren’t bright white, they’ve yellowed a bit. The coat has all its buttons. I think the stripes would clean up nicely, but I don’t wash my for sale Barbie clothes, so I will leave that choice for her new owner. The red lining is in pretty decent shape for how delicate it is. There some splits on the lining, but they’re not frayed and I personally think its not a bad lining at all. If you would like pictures of the splits, I’m happy to provide them, I just didn’t have the room to include every little detail. The belt is in good condition. It has one hole, the vinyl is still pliable, and it fits Barbie like a glove. The white clutch is in good used condition. The glasses are in good used condition. The shoes are deep navy blue and they’re in good used condition. The hankie is in good condition. The pearl drop necklace appears worn. It just looks old to me. 5. Original TM Nighty Neglige #965 outfit~ This set has a robe and nightgown. The robe has loose hems on the arm cuffs but its in otherwise good shape. The nightgown is in good condition and the elastic has somehow remained stretchy! I cant tell if the bead is missing. I can feel a bead and I can see what looks like a tiny top of a bead, but it’s not an obvious bead (if that makes any sense). The felt dog is in good used condition. 6. Original TM Sweater Girl # 976 outfit~The sweaters and skirt all show wear. The outer sweater doesn’t have any big holes, but there is piling and it looks a bit fuzzy. The inner sweater is missing 1/2 of one snap and theres another snap that 1/2 of it was pulled out of the sweater. There isn’t a hole where it was but you can see the original thread that the snap was sewn on with. It also doesn’t have any big holes but it does have piling and it looks fuzzy. The skirt has two light brownish spots on it, one on the front and one on the back. These look surface to me and I’m pretty sure these would be taken care of with a spot clean. The set comes with its original knitting bowl, book, and scissors.7. Original TM Evening Splendor outfit~The dress is untagged. The zipper runs smoothly. There are a couple of metallic threads that are poking upon the bust line. The coat could use a pressingI see one pin head size spot near the bottom of the lining. Its otherwise in good used condition. 8. Untagged Clone or Homemade outfit~ Extremely cute! I added this one in because Barbie looks so beautiful in it!
