1959 VINTAGE BRUNETTE #1 PONYTAIL BARBIE DOLLALL ORIGINAL FACE PAINTThe Holy Grail of Barbie Collecting!INCLUDES ORIGINAL TM BOX, ZEBRA STRIPED SWIMSUIT, OPEN TOED SHOES, SUNGLASSES & BOOKLETUp for auction is a beautiful brunette #1 Ponytail Barbie doll with all original face paint. She is the holy grail of Barbie collecting. Her face paint is gorgeous! She has a few pin pricks on the side of her face, but they do not detract at all.Her ponytail has been retied and her hard curl restored. Her ponytail is thick; her bangs are a little thin but still ok. I do not see any missing plugs.Her body has faded to a very nice, pale color; not ghostly. She has no green ear, no foul odors, and the tubes in both feet are present. The tubes do not protrude like most do, so you can get her shoes on. Most tubes protrude beyond the foot which makes the shoes impossible to get on. Japan is written across the bottom of her right foot, she has a nice stance, and holds all poses well. The nail polish on her right hand is all original, the polish on her left hand has been touched up. The tips of her toes have had some repair, I'm not sure what because you cannot see any repair from the bottom. I almost did not notice that she had some repair to her toes.She will come with her original TM box which has seen better days. The top has taped ends and one side has been taped; the bottom is a reproduction. The shoes are nice, the booklet is perfect, the sunglasses have a broken arm (one is shorter than the other, but they still work fine), the swimsuit is a little loose on top. Original Vintage Rare #1 Blonde Ponytail Barbie Doll w/TM Box, Liner & Clothing
This is a rare #1 ponytail barbie with blonde hair. Her solid and heavy body smells like crayons. Her body in great condition, great stance. She has even coloring and the proper copper tubes in her feet. Her limbs are nice and tight, nothing loose. She still has some nail polish, but unfortunately shes missing one of her pinkies. Easy to mask with a pair of gloves. Her feet are stained from her shoes too. Face paint is stunning, so amazing on these first dolls! Only one set of earring holes, no earrings. No missing hair plugs, but her hair needs to be reset, definitely. Still has the flocking on top and her hair doesn't appear to be cut. She has kind of dent on one side of her forehead, it's not a pin poke, there is no hole, probably just something was pressing into her while she was stored. The previous owner estimated she had been stored away for at least 40 years. She was wearing the tm commuter set outfit when I bought her. And the tm apple print sheath was in the box looking like new. The commuter set is also in good condition. No original bathing suit or stand was with her. And the booklet is an R. Both pair of shoes with her are #1 shoes, but neither go to these outfits. This is all there was with her. She does have a really nice tm box, very bright, one corner is split on the box top and one corner on the box bottom. She has the hard to find neck liner still too! The back of it is so sweet. It looks like the original owner had all her friends sign the box. I'm selling her as found, I didn't even clean her, I'm too afraid of messing something up so I'm selling her as i found her. She's a pretty doll, i dont think it will take much to get her ready for display. So that's what I noticed to mention please email me if you have other questions. Original Vintage Ponytail Barbie in Original Box
You are bidding on an original Ponytail Barbie with TM box. She has white irises, chevron eyebrows, red lips and copper inserts in the feet. The box has the R. trademark. She also has the accessories (Shoes, Sunglasses and one extra earring) and booklet. Her left side is marked with a "B 41", and here right side has the "Barbie Pats Pend MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc" mark. She has the original ties in her blond ponytail. Very slight green at ears. I’m reluctant to say this is a No. 1 Barbie because the last one I sold was said to be a modified Barbie #3 that has been repainted and holes drilled into her feet. I have no idea if this one is either. Take a good look at the photos and if you wish additional photos let me know. The box is in just fair condition with various seem tears. VINTAGE BLONDE & BRUNETTE PONYTAIL BARBIE LOT #3 AND #4 SOLID BODY Up for auction is a large lot of vintage blonde and brunette Ponytail Barbies! There are 2 definite #3's, another possible as it looks like the skin started to change (these are the 3 dolls on the right side), and the rest are #4's. Most if not all have been worked on. It looks like some have had green ear lightened, make-up fixes, etc. One has red spots on her arm. One has some light red staining on her backside. There are various marks as shown. One has a strange raised oval on her back. Please be sure to scroll down through the entire listing to see all of the photos. There are 60+. I believe that the hair is all original, but am not 100% sure. The #3 that is partially changing color has a slightly wobbly head. I did not undo the hair on the one with the updo, so do not know its length. One has chew marks on her hand and there are some nicks on some dolls. I tried to show everything that I noticed.
