Beautiful Vintage #1 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner OG Stand & Collection!
RARE FIND! Number One Blonde Ponytail Barbie with the Original Early Fashions, Pronged TM Mattel #1 Stand Accessories and Case Little nine year old Alice received the first issue Barbie teenage fashion doll for Christmas in 1959. Mattel’s Barbie had just made her debut at the International Toy show in New York. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special number one Barbie with the original “one owner” childhood collection. It includes many early fashions, complete with the jewelry and accessories This Ponytail Barbie is stunning with her cute upturned nose and signature ponytail. She has dramatic lightning shaped eyebrows and handpainted makeup ; blue side glancing eyes, blue eyeliner, smoky eye shadow, coral red lips, red fingernails and toenails. She’s truly stunning and in remarkable condition for being 64 years old. She is 99% original and retains most of her original factory characteristics This number one blonde ponytail has the extended hairline, which is different from the number threes and later dolls. She is very unusual and rare in that she has two distinctly different hairlines from left to right. Her right side is curved and differs from the straighter hairline on the left. She is wearing her original hairstyle set with the top knot and hard curl at the bottom. The ponytail has been retied with matching colored thread as the band was shot. Her hair is uncut and she has no missing plugs. She has a flocked scalp, silky floss hair in baby chick yellow, full poodle bangs with well defined curls and a cute spit curl on her forehead. Her make up is excellent. as is the the nail and toenail polish. She has all of the correct markings on her bottom; Mattel Barbie TM, 1958 in Roman numerals, pat pending and the number 65. She is marked Japan on the bottom of one foot. Her limbs are nice and tight, but she is able to hold any pose. Her neck moves freely, and there are no issues. She has beautiful and even creamy, pale pinkish ivory body color which is amazing as I e usually sees a in e sort of fading . She has beautiful straight legs with the desired daylight shown only between the thigh and knee , and knee and ankle…A sign of classical beauty with models. She has holes in each of her feet with the original copper tubes present. And she even has her original Mattel TM two prong stand which is very valuable! She has had very minor work done.. a professional restoration to her right pinky and a little touch up to her eyelash ridges. There was also one teeny pinpoint freckle on her left leg just below the knee that has been touched up to match the body color . If you look closely at the photos, you will see how gorgeous this doll is. I have not seen one in original condition that is this outstanding. Barbie has a boyfriend , Ken, who will be listed in a separate listing. Blonde Barbie comes with her original iconic black and white swimsuit, white cat, eyeglasses, black, OT mules with holes. Thankfully her feet do not have any of the staining that is typical with these Barbies. She also has her original gold bangle, hoop earrings! One hole per ear and no green ear! How perfect is this girl?! She is FABULOUS! It was so fun to find Barbie in her original little nest with all the fun boxes and precious accessories that Alice had lovingly kept and preserved. You can tell that this Barbie was truly loved and treasured. Alice did not let other children touch or play with her doll :-)*** This collection would not be complete without a photo of little Alice in December of 1959 around the time that she received this Barbie for Christmas. The photo is included here and a printed copy along with the original provenance of this doll will come with the collection upon request Barbie will come with her original white Ponytail case , dated 1961. A couple minor tears at the seams. And her original TM #1 Ponytail fashion booklet along with the second issue with Barbie and Ken in silhouette in the cover . Vintage Barbie Ponytail Lot! & Color Magic
After receiving questions in regards to the larger lot of 50 dolls, I have decided to break up into 4 varied lots and add a few extra outfits. This lot has 13 dolls and includes, ponytails, bubblecuts, mod, Color magic, and skipper . Most were from the JoAnn Winspur museum collection, and a few from my daughters personal storage. The color magic is fantastic, in her original outfit. She is the harder to find low color. Excellent hair and body, the pics speak for themselves. Beautiful Bubblecut dolls in sparkling pink, looks like new as its so sparkly. Satin Rose with very glittery heels, zoom in. Some lovely ponytails and everything that you see. Skipper has green from her metal hairband. It includes lovely and mostly complete outfits. Includes the htf pink pom poms and the necklace and microphone in solo in the spotlight. I purchased the entire collection in 2020 and only recently discovered these ones when I moved back to Fl. My daughter had some totes in storage for me. I have priced the lot at $2830. It represents $210 per doll including the outfits worn plus $100 for the outfits pictured to the side. If this lot sells the 50 doll lot will end. I will cover the shipping in the usa. Vintage 1960s Barbie Ken Clothing Lot 3 Dolls Shoes Luggage Purse Clothes
eBay Huge lot of over 50 pieces of Barbie and Ken clothing and a variety of accessories -- microphone, luggage, cowboy hat, shoes, boots, hangers, etc. Includes Ken doll and two Barbie dolls (date 1966). Most of the clothing has Barbie labels in them (see photos) and is for Barbies but there are a few Ken shirts and accessories (shoes). Many groovy 1960s outfits. See photos. They came from a friend now in her 60s who played with them very little. A few of the clothes have tears or holes or stains but not many. Have not been cleaned, but they don't smell. Very Special! 1960 #3 Brunette Ponytail Barbie with gown, box, mic + 1994 repro
eBay My mom collected Barbie dolls since they first came out and this was the prized possession of her collection. This is a brunette No. 3 Barbie from 1960. Model #850. She has blue eyes, brown eyeliner and red lips. Also, red polish on fingernails and toenails. She has original gold hoop earrings, and her ears are in great condition (no green around holes). She wears the 1960 Solo in the Spotlight original black gown with tulle and red rose. She has her original pink chiffon scarf and long black gloves (there is also one extra black glove I'm including) and a plastic silver microphone. She also comes with a pair of original white sunglasses with blue lens and black, open-toed high heels (which have separated in the front – see photo). Her face, arms and feet are perfect. Her body smells like crayon and faded to an ivory color. Her beautiful, soft, shiny hair features poodle curl bangs and a ponytail, which seems to be original. Her hair may need re-styling. This doll was displayed but not played with (see photos). She has a small crack on her torso near her right hip (see photo). And a crack at the front of her neck and head is glued to her body (see photo). My mom put a black ribbon around her neck, which covers the crack and looks stylish. She also comes with a beaded necklace (not sure if this is original or not). Her body markings are: Barbie Pats.Pend. (c)MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc. Her heal says Japan. The original box is in great shape with only one top corner separated. Box is dated 1959. The Barbie booklet is marked MCMLVIII (1958). She also comes with a white metal doll stand. In this lot I'm also including the 1990 Barbie trading card for the 1960 Solo in the Spotlight doll, the card is in perfect condition. And, included is a 1994 Special Edition Reproduction of this 1960 Solo in the Spotlight doll and outfit. The box is slightly crushed, but the doll has not been removed from the box and is in perfect condition. My mom loved her dolls and I’m hoping to find a new owner that will love this one too. I'm not a Barbie expert but I have tried to be thorough with the photos and description. Please look closely at the photos and ask if you have any questions. If there are doubles it's because I probably got them as a gift when I already had them, as Barbie stuff was the prefect gifts at the time. There is one outfit Sweater Girl that has a gray skirt and orange knit top that comes with knitting bowl and scissors...see the picture, now, please note I have two of these outfits, one is shown on a close up picture so don't think you're getting three outfits, just two that are shown together and the one has a broken scissors and I included the broken off piece if someone is handy and wants to glue it but there is included a pair of scissors that are not broken as well. I am also including reproduction clothes hangers, a bag of Barbie shoes and a bag of Jewelry as you can see in the pictures. All Ken clothing in pictures as shown, some have doubles...Note Ken's bathrobe has slippers and even has the bar of soap!!!! Some of the Ken shoes may be reproductions, I don't know..there is a possibility you may run across a pair or pants or shirt that is not Mattel made as my mothers friend made some clothes for my dolls now and then but you will know this as it would not have the Ken tag..I think all the pieces are original Ken but can't remember after 60+ years. Please be aware that from years of storing some of the clothing have a very slight musty odor but only noticeable if you put it directly up to your nose, I would spray with a little fabreeze if anything or just put outside and air them out but I will leave that up to the buyer.ALL OF MY ITEMS ARE FROM A SMOKE FREE/ PET FREE/ CLEAN HOMEPlease note that I will be doing a video of this when shipped as proof of contents and shipment for my protection as well as yours in case of loss or damage. Gorgeous Vintage Brunette #3 Ponytail Barbie, with Solo in the Spotlight Outfit
eBay This a gorgeous vintage #3 brunette ponytail Barbie wearing the Mattel reproduction of iconic "Solo in the Spotlight" outfit which includes: Black glittery mermaid gown with tulle ruffles accented with a red rose, long black gloves, black OT heels, pink scarf, 4-strand beaded necklace, "safe" pearl earrings, microphone with stand, and black hairbrush, all in very good condition. The black wire stand is not included, but the clear plastic doll stand is included. Her face is lovely and all original, with blue eyes, blue eyeliner, and ruby red lips, with no paint rubs except to the corners of her eyebrows. Her earring holes have a tiny dark spot, but her earrings hide it, and there is no green ear (see photos). She has no nose nips, no neck splits. Her ponytail is a little thin, but is perfectly styled with top knot in place and hard curls at the bottom, tied with a pink ribbon. She has the #3 solid TM body that has faded to a lovely pale color, with no chews, no pin holes. She has all of her fingernail and toenail polish. She has a pale stain on her neck that is hard to see, but her 4 strand necklace hides it (see photos). The last photo is this doll next to a #4 so you can see the difference in the coloring. All #3s have faded to a creamy white color. She is an absolutely gorgeous doll and would make a lovely addition to someone's collection.
