RARE HTF VNTG 1959 1 850 TM BLONDE PONYTAIL BARBIE DOLL-COTTON CASUAL-#912
This auction is for a rare, hard to find 1959 #1 blonde ponytail Barbie doll. There were only 350,000 #1 Barbie dolls made in this issue. She has a beautiful face with the characteristic inverted V or lightening bolt eyebrows, side glancing eyes with white irises, blue eyeliner, curly bangs, and metal cylinders in her legs that end with the holes in her feet for her doll stand. Her doll stand was not found with her. Her eyebrows are intact as her ruby red lips. Her right eyebrow is faint at the outer edge, but it is there to make her eyebrows complete and original. Her gold tone hoop earrings are artist's custom reproductions of the original earrings, and look very appropriate. Her light tone, heavy body is pale, indicative of the #1 Barbies, and feels solid. She also comes with her original sunglasses with blue lens. The right arm of the sunglasses is looser than the left, but both stay on her head when placed. I see there are reproductions of the original doll stands that can be found on ebay to complete her look. I will leave that up to the new owner! She was found with many of the clothing outfits made as those first issue of Barbie outfits which I will be listing soon. Japan is marked on bottom of her foot closer to the heel on her right foot. She is an estate sale find! She comes from one prior owner and a pet free home. It says that I ship within 2 days, 99.9% of the time, I ship within 24 hours. Rare Barbie #2 Brunette Ponytail Display Doll Silhouette Box Plantation Belle
eBay This is the rare Barbie #2 brunette ponytail display doll silhouette box plantation belle. This item is sold in used condition. In my opinion, it is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The item has wear / dirt on them, see pics. The bottom box has split on side and bottom inside/outside edge split. Both have tape on it. The top box lid has 3 corner / edge splits with tape on it. The doll front waist and back, arms have discolor from wearing dress. The left arm has small plastic pc sticking up near elbow. Rough plastic feeling on doll arm in that area, see pics. The arms and legs move up and down fine, but you must take it slow on the legs. They have not been used for long time, and are very stiff to move. The left leg is a harder to move, than the right. The doll right ear has something sticky? on ear, behind it, on hair, see pic. The left ear hole is ripped a little, see pic. The toes/ foot area have a little discolor on front and back, see pics. The dress is tagged, barbie r. The stand is marked tm, and on back marked Japan and Mattel International r, see pic. The necklace is broken. The earring is missing color on round part, see last pic. The white skirt is dirty around waist section. The barbie doll is marked tm. The tm is worn, have to see it on angle closeup. The store display box label says #866 plantation belle. Then under it #966, see pics. Some pics with flash made items brighter, but showed more detail. The doll is not bright white that some pics show. Pic #1 is a close match in color. Please use the pictures to judge the condition and bid on this item yourself.The doll was a store display doll in a large Allentown Pa department store. eBay Up for auction is a vintage Barbie store display, which is dated 1970. This "World of Barbie Fashion Boutique" set is an estate find that is incredibly rare! It includes four dolls: two mod Barbie dolls, a Stacey doll, and a PJ doll. Stacey is wearing a pink negligee set with poodle slippers but the other three dolls are wearing mod fashions. From left to right, the first doll is wearing a yellow pant suit set with yellow high heels, the second is wearing a multi-colored abstract patterned mini dress with green high heels, and the PJ doll is wearing an outfit that epitomizes the 1960s and early 70s: an orange mini dress with plaid skirt and matching orange coat and plaid scarf, with yellow boots. All of the dolls are in new condition, with all original outfits and wrist tags. Each silver tag is marked with the name of the doll on one side and "Made in Japan" on the other. They are charmingly posed in their original store display which is in excellent condition. The blonde Stacey doll has shifted position over the years so that she is partially blocking one of the Barbie dolls, but she seems to be stable at this point. The store display does show some wear, including dents in the plastic, which can be popped out a bit but tend to want to return to their dented state. There are no holes in the plastic though. There is a small area with adhesive residue (probably from a sticker that was removed at some point) on the front and slight slits in the plastic on the top and bottom of the display. There is mild wear to the cardboard in places. I took lots of pictures so please view all of the pictures carefully as they are part of the description. There are no unpleasant odors.This is a must have for the serious Barbie collector!Thank you for looking at my auction. Original Vintage Rare #1 Blonde Ponytail Barbie Doll w/TM Box, Liner & Clothing
This is a rare #1 ponytail barbie with blonde hair. Her solid and heavy body smells like crayons. Her body in great condition, great stance. She has even coloring and the proper copper tubes in her feet. Her limbs are nice and tight, nothing loose. She still has some nail polish, but unfortunately shes missing one of her pinkies. Easy to mask with a pair of gloves. Her feet are stained from her shoes too. Face paint is stunning, so amazing on these first dolls! Only one set of earring holes, no earrings. No missing hair plugs, but her hair needs to be reset, definitely. Still has the flocking on top and her hair doesn't appear to be cut. She has kind of dent on one side of her forehead, it's not a pin poke, there is no hole, probably just something was pressing into her while she was stored. The previous owner estimated she had been stored away for at least 40 years. She was wearing the tm commuter set outfit when I bought her. And the tm apple print sheath was in the box looking like new. The commuter set is also in good condition. No original bathing suit or stand was with her. And the booklet is an R. Both pair of shoes with her are #1 shoes, but neither go to these outfits. This is all there was with her. She does have a really nice tm box, very bright, one corner is split on the box top and one corner on the box bottom. She has the hard to find neck liner still too! The back of it is so sweet. It looks like the original owner had all her friends sign the box. I'm selling her as found, I didn't even clean her, I'm too afraid of messing something up so I'm selling her as i found her. She's a pretty doll, i dont think it will take much to get her ready for display. So that's what I noticed to mention please email me if you have other questions. Vintage Mattel #2 Ponytail Barbie Original Face No Touch Ups!
This Vintage Mattel #2 Ponytail Barbie is an original, authentic piece without any touch-ups. With a doll size of 11 inches, it is a rare and valuable addition to any collection. I purchased this doll from Marl (Marl&B) and Barbie was authenticated by her.She is in Excellent condition. I did replace the rubber band in her hair as the original rotted. She has red marks on top of feet from shoes I would imagine, but the marks are covered by her shoes. Her legs are lighter than the rest of her body. I put stockings on her and that makes her legs blend nicely with the rest of her body.I will include her original bathing suit in excellent condition and not pictured. Original Antique Vintage #2 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 Strawberry Blonde
Up for auction is an original 1959 #2 Ponytail Barbie with blonde hair. She's a bit rough as far as condition, but the poor thing's an antique now, so I can't blame her. :) Here are some specifics: Doll only, I do not have her original swimsuit or accessories (no earrings, sunglasses, etc.)--The original rubber band in her hair disintegrated and someone put a newer one in--the remnants of the original are in her hair. I did not attempt to remove it for fear of causing more damage.--There are NO holes in the bottom of her feet, and the bottom of her right foot says "Japan"--She has the Barbie logo and a patent date of 1958 on her bottom--Her plastic is discoloring with age, so her legs are lighter than her torso, and her legs have greenish areas--She appears to have some sort of dirt all over that has left marks/stains on her body. I tried to remove with water, but did not try anything else for risk of damage. There are dirt streaks on her arms and torso, and there is a dirt spot on her back right shoulder. There are also some light streaks below that (see picture) where it looks like some of the dirt came off.--Overall, her paint is in good condition. There is some wear on the edges of her eyelashes and fingernails. Her toenail polish appears to be in good condition.--Her irises have no color--Joints are solid and a bit stiff--she's definitely not loose!--She has not been chewed on (eww!) or mangled in any way like that--She also smells like crayons--Comes from a smoke-free homeI am happy to answer any questions you may have at all. Aside from playing Barbies as a kid, I don't know too much about them, so if I left out any important information, please just ask!
