M 2010 Mattel OOAK Hot and Gold Barbie Basics ONE OF A KIND Vtg Steffie face
This auction is for a Mattel 2010 Hot and Gold Barbie doll One-of-a-kind with Steffie face/Model Muse body and Certificate of Authenticity. The Hot and Gold dolls were designed by Bill Greening and were offered as a lot of 40 different dolls in 2010 to a single buyer. Barbie author J Michael Augustyniak purchased that lot and sold off the other 39 dolls, keeping this one with the Steffie face as it was his favorite design. This doll comes with the deluxe Certificate holder, as well as a small poster of the entire lot of 40 dolls. The dolls all came in individual plain white cardboard boxes with the Pink Barbie logo on the front. Even though the doll was kept in the closed box and away from light, her top and gloves, unfortunately, tarnished over the years (much like that of the Rocker Derek with gold jacket). The rest of her outfit was not affected. She is still gorgeous with that lovely Steffie face and detailed hat, but please look closely at the photos for top discoloration. I believe her outfit was supposed to be inspired by 1940s fashion. The box is in good condition/ slight wear, and comes with doll stand. Again, this is a one-of-a-kind Mattel doll and would make a lovely addition to your collection. 2010 Barbie Fashion Model Collection Silkstone Verushka Doll T7674 MIB
eBay This auction is for the 2010 Gold label edition Barbie Fashion Model Collection Verushka Silkstone doll, with original stock # T7674 in Mint in Box (MIB) condition! BTW, her name “Verushka” appears mostly in Russian culture originally as a diminutive of Vera which means "faith", though it is oft associated with the Latin verus, meaning “true.” Bet your average Silkstone Collector never discovered that fun fact J. This ESTATE SALE consignment was previously owned by an adult collector. This doll was removed from her box shortly after her purchase for examination, but immediately replaced (her ribbons have clearly been re-tied. Otherwise, I would have called her NRFB—she’s THAT pristine). The original owner stopped purchasing silkstone dolls with the Russian series, or so I was told because the owner swore off buying factory-damaged dolls at such a high price point (Nicolai from the same set was severely stained by his original costuming). Thus, she was put back into her box, her tissue was closed, the ribbon seal shut and her box closed until we acquired her for sale. Though removed, I refuse to call her “Used”—as all her tacking threads are untouched and intact. The doll and her costuming are in factory mint condition, as are her accessories: Stand, Certificate of Authenticity and Original Care Instruction card. From her furry headgear to her fur-topped boots, she is EXQUISITE: A contrast of textures, rather than color, the gentle of wisps of fur surround her face, the sparkle of velvet lame peaks through her matte finished overcoat highlighted by silvery embroidery. A leatherette skirt flashes from the coat opening as her black hose covered legs carry her forth, her leatherette boots clacking as she makes her way to meet her comrades. A sparkling gem atop her hat shines with equal lustre as its mate on her shiny, belted waist, both adorned with silvery chains, elegant and subtle. Her facial paint has the only hint of color on this monochromatic vision. Below her crisp blue eyes with silvery lids, a beautiful frosty pink lipstick with pale powdered cheeks on milky skin, her straight platinum hair, still tucked into the stays sewn along her coat, all combine looking striking against the dark ensemble that frames her. The slick, rich scarlet red box printing is still very nice and glossy with a bare minimum of shelf wear—no scratches, abrasions, dents or dings—only a few white imperfections (they look like dust specks) from the printing process. A few cloudy or faded illusionary flaws show in some photos caused by real dust and my finger-prints during our listing process which are non-existent in real life. These high-gloss boxes attract dust from static electricity in my home environment (AZ is a VERY dry state, worse as it gets colder). Rest assured the box is clean. eBay This auction is for the 2010 Gold label edition Barbie Fashion Model Collection Mila Silkstone doll, with original stock # T7672 in NRFB (Never Removed from Box) condition! BTW, her name “Mila” appears in Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Czech, Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian cultures originally as a diminutive of Slavic names containing the element milu "gracious, dear". Bet your average Silkstone Collector never knew that fun fact J. This ESTATE SALE consignment was previously owned by an adult collector. This doll was viewed shortly after her purchase, but never removed from her box. The original owner stopped purchasing silkstone dolls, or so I was told because the owner swore off buying factory-damaged dolls at such a high price point (Nicolai from the same set was severely stained by his original costuming). Thus, her tissue was closed, the ribbon seal shut and her box closed until we acquired her for sale. The doll and her costuming are in factory mint condition, as are her accessories: Stand, Certificate of Authenticity and Original Care Instruction card. The printed pattern of her satiny skirt, vest and matching headscarf are deep and richly colored—no fading of any kind is evident. The highly reflective fabric looks weirdly textured with flash photography, but not so in person. Her facial paint is very vibrant, especially her pretty, bright blue eyes which contrast with her two-toned lipstick, painted in a way which is representative of the Russian Nesting dolls which inspired her design. Her box shows mild shelf wear and a long crease on the bottom corner of the box lid, which is readily visible in a number of the photos. The slick, rich scarlet red printing is still very nice and glossy, but does have a few white imperfections from the printing process. A few cloudy or faded illusionary flaws show in some photos caused by dust and my finger-prints during our listing process which are non-existent in real life. These high-gloss boxes attract dust from static electricity in my home environment (AZ is a VERY dry state, worse as it gets colder). Rest assured the box is clean. She is wearing a Russian Doll inspired folklore design outfit, as shown. She also has a doll stand and Certificate of Authenticity. Doll has never been removed from the inner cardboard lining, but the box lid is not sealed and the doll has been displayed with the box open. The box has some minor scuffing marks on the back and bottom, as well as a small dent on the back lower left corner and a dent along the left side of the back of the box.
