Vintage 1965 Side-Part American Girl Barbie Factory Set Hair MIB w/Accessories
Extraordinary vintage Mattel 1965 Side-Part American Girl Barbie doll, ash blonde, with original swimsuit, turquoise Japan heels, catalog, box and gold wire stand, as well as an unattached original Mattel wrist tag that she would have come with. She has obviously never been played with, as her original factory set hair is untouched, her makeup and polish on fingernails and toes is original and untouched, and her hair string is still intact. She has the very rare green hair band, the mostly American version coarse hair texture and shorter bangs, as well as the frosty cheek and lip color. Her body and head are both in near mint condition; she has 2 small spots of light green on her left upper arm. Her limbs are all tight, and no swinging occurs. She has no earring holes, no green ear, of course, no neck splits, nose nips, chew marks, or damage. Both knees click 3 times but hold a pose at 2 clicks. Her swimsuit is in good condition. Box has a little weather. A couple of corners are torn. Extraordinary treasure that I was lucky enough to get in my possession. Smoke-free home. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Fantastic project girl! This is a vintage #1 or #2 blonde Ponytail Barbie head on a #2 or #3 Ponytail body. Unfortunately, this gal has neck splitting, and her hair has been completely cut off. Her makeup is still vibrant, although her eye liner on her ridges is rubbed. She doesn't have any green ear or nose nips. The body is faded very unevenly, but in good condition otherwise. Vintage #2 Brunette Ponytail Barbie & Easter Parade
She started out as a VERY well loved #2, with pretty much just one white iris eye left, (see last pic. She IS a #2 as seen by the white paint left in her eye) and now has a new lease on life. She actually turned out way better than I thought she would! She will display beautifully! I chose a spray set updo as the best option due to her frizzles and a few spots of slightly shorter and thinner hair. She's missing a spot of flocking at the top. Her makeup, nails can be completely removed and redone if you chose to do so as I am just a hobbyist. She had a few scuffs near and on her lips buffed out to be less noticeable (her lips still have a bit of a rougher texture). Her head turns much easier than a less played with barbie. Easter Parade was a brand new repro on card and it looks great on her. Please look at pics carefully as I can't possible point out every last minute detail. She is going to have a few discolorations and play marks. For the less picky collector, a more affordable option for a #2 than spending over $5000. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

GENUINE VINTAGE 1959 1960 TRANSITIONAL MATTEL #1 #3 BARBIE DOLL HOLES IN FEET
THIS EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE DOLL IS ABSOLUTELY NOT IN MINT LIKE NEW CONDITION AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. FOR THE ADULT COLLECTOR. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MINT ITEM OR A PLAYTHING FOR A CHILD THIS IS NOT THE DOLL FOR YOU. THANKS!Here we have an extremely rare 1959 Mattel #1 Barbie body with a rare 1960 Mattel #3 blonde Barbie head on it. This combination of head and body, although extremely rare, surface more often than one would think in varying degrees of condition, so many collectors, myself included, are of the opinion that most of these dolls are factory transitional dolls, a situation in which Mattel was using up the leftover #1 bodies they had on hand and putting #3 heads on them. Mattel was, and still is, famous for being thrifty when it comes to using up leftover doll parts so factory transitional dolls were and are nothing unusual for them. This 1959 doll body does have the holes in the bottom of the feet with the metal tubes. I purchased this doll a couple of years ago and it breaks my heart to sell her but I've recently moved and money is very tight and I need to pay rent and bills and eat. This doll was in pretty rough shape when she came to me. She was filthy and heavily played with. Most of her original lip and eyelash ridge paint was missing/rubbed away and a child had drawn red ink marker lipstick on her. The ink had bled some into the surrounding vinyl creating a pink stained "halo" around the mouth. The child had also used what appeared to be colored pencil to give her eye makeup. I have restored this doll. First she got a good bath and shampoo and condition. I very, very carefully removed as much as I could of the child's offensive ink and pencil handiwork and used my artist's acrylic paints to conceal some staining and restore some color and beauty to the doll. I repainted her lips in a tomato red shade that resembles the lovely color that the original #1, #2 and #3 lips often oxidize and fade to. This color blends with a conceals what's left of the ink staining rather than making it more apparent by contrast, like a true blood red would. I touched up her black eyelash ridges and original brown eyeliner. Her fingernail and toenail polish was mostly gone so I gave her a new manicure and pedicure to match her lips. Thankfully, this doll's eyebrows are all original! Her hair had been cut some and is frizzy so I simply put it into a bun on the top of her head and used a bit of soft hold hairspray to keep it in place. I have used a "less is more" approach when working on this doll, trying to preserve as much originality as possible and not overdoing her. I also want my work to be reversible if a future collector with better skills than me wants to restore her themself. I did seal my paint with Modge Podge, but that can be removed with alcohol and a little patience. The doll's body has both faded and darkened as is common...with improper storage in hot climates the #1, #2 and #3 bodies and limbs will fade to ivory as usual but then can yellow a bit after that. I have taken photos with and without the flash to show this, and some of the photos with the flash make the yellowing look worse than it is. She looks better under normal or natural light to the naked eye. The doll body does show scuffs and play wear here and there as is to be expected but overall is very sturdy with firm joints, no splits and no chews or missing fingers and toes. The metal tubes in the feet are protruding a bit as is normal from the vinyl shrinking and changing shape over the past 66 years. There is also some staining on both feet from more than one pair of shoes being left on too long over the years. The first three Barbie heads are made of a vinyl formula that does not develop green ear like subsequent ones do so you don't have to worry about that. I do not detect any smoke damage or mildew or other foul odors. As mentioned before I cleaned her and she smells only of crayons as she should. This doll is far from perfect and some may not choose to believe she is a transitional, maybe they think a child switched heads, but my education and experience shows me that these transitional dolls DO exist so I'll choose to believe that she is one of them. You can clearly see that the head and body have aged together and have been together a very, very long time. It all just looks and feels "right". I also would view this doll as a rare and interesting piece of Barbie history, as a conversation piece, and not expect her to be a perfect beauty. While she is certainly attractive, she's been through a LOT...she's had a hard life and she's been restored...so she has some character to her. All in all this is a truly fabulous and extremely rare doll that I think you will be very proud to own. I have certainly enjoyed her...I love her so very much...but my financial situation is such that I absolutely must part with her. Thanks for looking! VINTAGE BARBIE BRUNETTE PONYTAIL #3. These days Brunette’s are rarer than blondes and more collectible. Mattel made one Brunette Ponytail ,for every four Blondes , so at a 4:1 ratio you can see why they are harder to find ,and so are their boxes in decent condition. She has a Solid T.M. cast vinyl heavy body that smells like crayons. Besides eyebrow touch up all the rest , is original makeup. She comes in a very nice R ponytail box ,all intact with no splits and replaced liner. With Ponytail booklet, shoes and sun glasses. A near mint Vintage Original outfit “Outdoor Art-show” is included. No green ear and tight joints. Feet have some staining from shoes ,that are easily covered when shoes are on. I have not tried to remove the stains. No other stains on body. She has a very nice creamy color. She’s a very pretty doll. Vintage Barbie Lot Brunette American Girl, Titian & Lilac Tnt Twist & Turn
eBay The titian and AG came in a box lot of old barbies I happened to come across in my adventures. Most of the barbies (and barbie parts) in this box looked as though they weren't played with much and stored for a long time. It was kind of fun piecing things together and cleaning them up! The titian was just a head and still had the original tnt plastic on her, so I threw her on a body that was in the box. Her head is in great shape, the body is also, but has storage stains and discolorations. Green on foot from coming in to contact with a Casey head in plastic that had the original earring still in. She has multi-tonal firey red hair which is kind of cool....full lashes with none missing and no earring holes. The silver lilac has great hair color. Very soft. She does have earring holes and her body is average with some pokes at feet, some discoloration and a split at back of 1 knee. She has full eyelashes with none missing. Both these girls have beautiful makeup too. Their faces may be a titch darkened in color. The AG was in the box with just arms and a torso. The legs had dry rotted at the hip joints and were off. I glued the hips, right leg does not move, the left leg is loose but stays on. Her body is in crazy good condition. Doesn't look like it was played with. Other than the hip issue it's gorgeous. Her face is equally as stunning with beautiful makeup as it was wrapped in plastic very tightly in the box. I carefully removed the plastic and cleaned her facial area. The hair is very stiff and crushed to her head, so I didn't want to mess with it at all...I don't know if this is original or a wig? I'm leaning more towards wig. Her hair is in its original set~ she does have a few flyaways. Her makeup is nice and she has brown eyeliner. She has all her fingers & toes and the red polish on the tips looks nice to me. Barbie has a pinhead size nick on her abdomen, which is circled for you to see. She has what looks to me like a mold seam (its not a crack) under one arm, I have no idea if this is something that’s actually a flaw, but I did circle it for you to view. I see one pin tip size spot on her hip (also circled), and a pin tip spot on the back of one calf (circled). She has a pin head size green ear spots that are easily covered with earrings. 2. Original TM box~ The box is not in the best condition~ it’s definitely seen better days. All the corners on the graphic half of the box have split and have been taped. There is browning on both halves of the box. The graphics also have browning. This box has been around the block, but it doesnt smell weird and its kept Barbie safe for many years! 3. Original pedestal and wire stand~ Marked with an R. There are no chips, but it does have scratches on it. The scratches can be viewed in the pictures. 4. Original Barbie booklet insert~ The back of the booklet has a hole, tape on the back, and it does not have Gay Parisienne. 5. Original earrings~ They’re unbroken, I’m not sure what else to say about them. 6. Original swimsuit~ It could use a wash to brighten the white stripes, but its otherwise fine. It comes with Barbie’s original black Japan heels and white cat eye sunglasses. 7. Original black mule heels~ One shoe is marked Japan, the other is blank. 8. Vintage Barbie #3 Blonde Ponytail Doll Still Pinkish Toned Head & Limbs Swimsuit
Vintage Barbie blonde #3 ponytail is beautiful - original ponytail and top wrap, bottom band is gone but she still has her original curls at the bottom, original curly bangs, makeup is original and she still has her blush, no nose nips or neck splits, no swingy joints, she has largely retained her pinkish toned skin on all but her torso which has lightened, she still has her original pearl earrings in and there is some green on her ears under them. She comes with her swimsuit, sunglasses, and rare early black open toe heels with the right being marked Japan. She could use a light cleaning after being stored in her case all these years. There are a couple of flecks of black in her hair as there was a Solo in the Spotlight dress in her case with her which had done its usual shedding, but I didn’t want to try to pick them out as her hair is so nice and original. A pair of tweezers would probably get them out. On the left side of her head at the hairline her flocking shows a little bit - no missing plugs, just the factory flocked a little too forward. Original TM Roman Holiday #968 outfit~ The set includes a TM coat, dress, belt, purse, glasses, shoes, hankie, and necklace. The set is missing its hat, compact, comb, and eyeglasses case. There are no rips, stains, or holes on the dress and there is no Barbie tag inside the dress. The outer fabric of the coat is free of rips, stains, or holes, but the white stripes aren’t bright white, they’ve yellowed a bit. The coat has all its buttons. I think the stripes would clean up nicely, but I don’t wash my for sale Barbie clothes, so I will leave that choice for her new owner. The red lining is in pretty decent shape for how delicate it is. There some splits on the lining, but they’re not frayed and I personally think its not a bad lining at all. If you would like pictures of the splits, I’m happy to provide them, I just didn’t have the room to include every little detail. The belt is in good condition. It has one hole, the vinyl is still pliable, and it fits Barbie like a glove. The white clutch is in good used condition. The glasses are in good used condition. The shoes are deep navy blue and they’re in good used condition. The hankie is in good condition. The pearl drop necklace appears worn. It just looks old to me. 5. Original TM Nighty Neglige #965 outfit~ This set has a robe and nightgown. The robe has loose hems on the arm cuffs but its in otherwise good shape. The nightgown is in good condition and the elastic has somehow remained stretchy! I cant tell if the bead is missing. I can feel a bead and I can see what looks like a tiny top of a bead, but it’s not an obvious bead (if that makes any sense). The felt dog is in good used condition. 6. Original TM Sweater Girl # 976 outfit~The sweaters and skirt all show wear. The outer sweater doesn’t have any big holes, but there is piling and it looks a bit fuzzy. The inner sweater is missing 1/2 of one snap and theres another snap that 1/2 of it was pulled out of the sweater. There isn’t a hole where it was but you can see the original thread that the snap was sewn on with. It also doesn’t have any big holes but it does have piling and it looks fuzzy. The skirt has two light brownish spots on it, one on the front and one on the back. These look surface to me and I’m pretty sure these would be taken care of with a spot clean. The set comes with its original knitting bowl, book, and scissors.7. Original TM Evening Splendor outfit~The dress is untagged. The zipper runs smoothly. There are a couple of metallic threads that are poking upon the bust line. The coat could use a pressingI see one pin head size spot near the bottom of the lining. Its otherwise in good used condition. 8. Untagged Clone or Homemade outfit~ Extremely cute! I added this one in because Barbie looks so beautiful in it! Vintage #3 Blonde Ponytail Barbie w/Original Box & Zebra Swimsuit
NOTE: Signature will be required upon delivery Stunning Blonde Mattel #3 Ponytail Barbie with Original Box This beautiful Mattel #3 Ponytail Barbie comes with her original box and is a true collector's item. According to the previous owner, her makeup is original, and her hoop earrings are either original or vintage. While I cannot personally verify this, as I haven't owned her over the years, I can confirm that her lashes show slight wear, but her lips and brown eyeliner remain exquisite. Her glossy hair may have been reset, and her bangs are absolutely one of a kind—both cute and sophisticated! Condition Notes: From certain angles, it may appear she has nipples, but this is difficult to for me to confirm. Please review the photos and assess for yourself. There are no green ear issues, split neck, nose chips, or loose arms. Her rear stamp is TM and is very clear - which is quite rare for early dolls (see photo for a close-up of the stamp). Important Notes: I have removed her hoop earrings to protect her ears; they will be shipped in their own display box (see photo). She is currently wearing ear-safe reproduction pearl earrings. To protect her hairstyle during shipping, her head will be covered with a Dixie cup. The exterior box will also have "fragile" stickers to help ensure careful handling.
