 RARE FIND! Number One Blonde Ponytail Barbie with the Original Early Fashions, Pronged TM Mattel #1 Stand Accessories and Case Little nine year old Alice received the first issue Barbie teenage fashion doll for Christmas in 1959. Mattel’s Barbie had just made her debut at the International Toy show in New York. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special number one Barbie with the original “one owner” childhood collection. It includes many early fashions, complete with the jewelry and accessories This Ponytail Barbie is stunning with her cute upturned nose and signature ponytail. She has dramatic lightning shaped eyebrows and handpainted makeup ; blue side glancing eyes, blue eyeliner, smoky eye shadow, coral red lips, red fingernails and toenails. She’s truly stunning and in remarkable condition for being 64 years old. She is 99% original and retains most of her original factory characteristics This number one blonde ponytail has the extended hairline, which is different from the number threes and later dolls. She is very unusual and rare in that she has two distinctly different hairlines from left to right. Her right side is curved and differs from the straighter hairline on the left. She is wearing her original hairstyle set with the top knot and hard curl at the bottom. The ponytail has been retied with matching colored thread as the band was shot. Her hair is uncut and she has no missing plugs. She has a flocked scalp, silky floss hair in baby chick yellow, full poodle bangs with well defined curls and a cute spit curl on her forehead. Her make up is excellent. as is the the nail and toenail polish. She has all of the correct markings on her bottom; Mattel Barbie TM, 1958 in Roman numerals, pat pending and the number 65. She is marked Japan on the bottom of one foot. Her limbs are nice and tight, but she is able to hold any pose. Her neck moves freely, and there are no issues. She has beautiful and even creamy, pale pinkish ivory body color which is amazing as I e usually sees a in e sort of fading . She has beautiful straight legs with the desired daylight shown only between the thigh and knee , and knee and ankle…A sign of classical beauty with models. She has holes in each of her feet with the original copper tubes present. And she even has her original Mattel TM two prong stand which is very valuable! She has had very minor work done.. a professional restoration to her right pinky and a little touch up to her eyelash ridges. There was also one teeny pinpoint freckle on her left leg just below the knee that has been touched up to match the body color . If you look closely at the photos, you will see how gorgeous this doll is. I have not seen one in original condition that is this outstanding. Barbie has a boyfriend , Ken, who will be listed in a separate listing. Blonde Barbie comes with her original iconic black and white swimsuit, white cat, eyeglasses, black, OT mules with holes. Thankfully her feet do not have any of the staining that is typical with these Barbies. She also has her original gold bangle, hoop earrings! One hole per ear and no green ear! How perfect is this girl?! She is FABULOUS! It was so fun to find Barbie in her original little nest with all the fun boxes and precious accessories that Alice had lovingly kept and preserved. You can tell that this Barbie was truly loved and treasured. Alice did not let other children touch or play with her doll :-)*** This collection would not be complete without a photo of little Alice in December of 1959 around the time that she received this Barbie for Christmas.  eBay Up for auction is a vintage Barbie store display, which is dated 1970. This "World of Barbie Fashion Boutique" set is an estate find that is incredibly rare! It includes four dolls: two mod Barbie dolls, a Stacey doll, and a PJ doll. Stacey is wearing a pink negligee set with poodle slippers but the other three dolls are wearing mod fashions. From left to right, the first doll is wearing a yellow pant suit set with yellow high heels, the second is wearing a multi-colored abstract patterned mini dress with green high heels, and the PJ doll is wearing an outfit that epitomizes the 1960s and early 70s: an orange mini dress with plaid skirt and matching orange coat and plaid scarf, with yellow boots. All of the dolls are in new condition, with all original outfits and wrist tags. Each silver tag is marked with the name of the doll on one side and "Made in Japan" on the other. They are charmingly posed in their original store display which is in excellent condition. The blonde Stacey doll has shifted position over the years so that she is partially blocking one of the Barbie dolls, but she seems to be stable at this point. The store display does show some wear, including dents in the plastic, which can be popped out a bit but tend to want to return to their dented state. There are no holes in the plastic though. There is a small area with adhesive residue (probably from a sticker that was removed at some point) on the front and slight slits in the plastic on the top and bottom of the display. There is mild wear to the cardboard in places. I took lots of pictures so please view all of the pictures carefully as they are part of the description. There are no unpleasant odors.This is a must have for the serious Barbie collector!Thank you for looking at my auction. She has original finger and toenail polish, and original lip and eyebrow paint; I believe the ridges of her eyelids are touched up.She is not missing any hair plugs; her topknot has been retied and her bottom curl restored. She has "bumper bangs" instead of poodle bangs. Bumper bangs are rare.Her body is marked "Japan" across the bottom of her right foot, not in the small box. The side of her right thigh has a scratch, and she has a mold flaw at the top of her right hip. Her torso is a little darker than the rest of her, but not very noticeable.Her TM pedestal stand has a repaired crack at the back, and a chip at the back. This is not noticeable from the front. The stand works well.Her TM booklet is in very nice condition. It has no stains or tears; one page has a small "x" in the corner, otherwise it is perfect.Her TM box has seen better days.  I have a vintage 1959 original #2 brunette ponytail Barbie doll up for auction. She has a heavy solid body, faded almost white. She has arched eyebrows and white irises, only seen on the #1 and #2 dolls. She is a #2 so she has no holes in her feet. While not mint, she is in very good to excellent condition.The doll has no missing fingers or toes and no swingy arms or legs. Her face paint is very good. Her brunette hair is in a ponytail with original poodle curl bangs and no missing plugs. The top and bottom rubber bands on the ponytail are present, so they must have been replaced. Barbie’s head, torso and limbs are faded to the same shade. She has red nails, in very good condition. She has been stored in a smoke free home.She is 65 years old, has been displayed in clothes for years, and is not perfect. She has a small pin dot size dark mark on her upper back, near the neck, and a small (1/4 inch long) cut on the backside of her right upper arm (see photos). Some small pieces of hair appear broken off (see photos). She has light mold marks on the hips (see photo). Her color is somewhat uneven, maybe stains from clothes or exposure to sunlight. There are other minor marks and scuffs. Review the pictures carefully Barbie is marked on the right side hip: BARBIE TM PATS PEND MCMIVIII BY MATTEL INC. She has her original hard curl on her ponytail, which has been retied with a matching colored thread. She has that beautiful, baby chick, soft blonde floss hair with a flocked scalp. No missing plugs. And a beautiful full array of curly poodle bangs with a Darling spit curl coming down onto her forehead. She has a beautiful face with side, glancing blue eyes and blue eyeliner. This is one of the more rare versions of Ponytail Barbie as the majority of the #3’s had brown eyeliner . In the Barbie Bazaar magazine, there is a reference to some rare transitional number three Barbies, and this is one of those rare Barbies. For the most part she has even pinkish Body color, some very light fading from her waist to her upper torso no doubt from wearing her swimsuit for many years. The third issue dolls were prone to fading almost completely to white so it is nice that this girl has retained a lot of her original color. She is simply stunning . She retains quite a lot of her fingernail polish. Her right pinky has a darkened tip but no damage. Wonderful original make up with some fading to the lips and a little area at the very end of her left eyebrow .This girl is original with NO TOUCH UPS! And she has the heady smell of crayons ;0). No chew marks, holes or other problems to note. One whole per ear. She is on a solid TM body and has clear markings on her bottom. Number 26 on her left bottom cheek, and Barbie TM Patent Pending, 1958 in Roman numerals by Mattel Japan, Marked Japan on bottom of foot. She comes with an original stock 850 box which is in fantastic condition with very vibrant graphics. The Gay Parisienne version.  My treasure is your great find with this early Mattel number 3 Barbie!This all original vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie with blue eyes and brown eyeliner has been safely stored for more than 60 years. I am the original owner. As a child, I was very careful with my Barbie and she is in excellent vintage condition. She was gently handled and well cared for. Always in a smoke free home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses which are missing one arm. Although Barbie is the real find here... she also comes with eleven outfits and the storage trunk box she has rested in for decades. Most of the clothes are in excellent condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also some rare items like a blue bubble dress and Barbie's tiny vinyl record, titled, "No Thank You."Her face paint, lipstick, delicate cheek blush, nail polish, and toenail polish are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! Her soft shiny hair is beautiful with poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her pony tail broke while I was photographing her so I replaced it. She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces.She has JAPAN lengthwise on the bottom of her right foot. And an "O" is slightly visible on her other foot where I wrote my initial. She has some discoloration on one foot from the shoe.Her solid body is clean. She has all her fingers and toes. Her neck and torso have faded slightly to a lighter ivory color. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration on her right cheek. She has a tiny pin point speck of green behind each earing which is barely visible.  This early Mattel number 3 Barbie is all original with no touchups!I am the original owner. She was my first Barbie. She is not perfect but still a wonderful example of this beautiful iconic doll. She was gently handled and stored for more than 60 years in a smokefree home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses.I have included 7 outfits with accessories and the storage trunk box in which she has been stored. Most of the clothes are in excellent vintage condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also two original Mattel Barbie dress patterns packages from 1961. The packages are opened but the patterns were never used. Her face is still gorgeous. The paint, luscious red lipstick, blue eyes and delicate brown eye shadow are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! The red polish on her fingers and toes shows a little rub off. (See photos.)She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces. She has nice poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her ponytail was in fragments when I took her out of the storage case so I replaced it. She has JAPAN on the bottom of her foot in a rectangle. I was told by someone more knowledgeable than I, that indicates an early version of #3. Her overall skin is quite even. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration where her legs have been for so many years. She has all her fingers and toes. She has a few almost imperceptible scratches on her legs that don't show in photos. Her head, arms and legs all move well and the joints are tight. She has a some tiny metallic looking specks on her chest and dark ones on her hip and right temple. Her right ear is slightly marred. There is no green visible behind her earrings. (See photos)Barbie's clothing outfits are all original from about 1960 and are in excellent vintage condition with working zippers. Doll’s original face, nail & toe paint fully intact one nail slightly chipped, both ears have slight green ear all limbs are tight and move freely. Some slight normal scratching throughout body, left thigh has an indented line. Hair has been retied.  This is a complete set of the 1971 Sears Gift Set for the Walking Jamie Barbie doll, Strollin' in Style. All pieces are included, and all accessories are in excellent condition. This is the Titian (redhead) Jamie. There is a push button on Jamie's back (see photos) that makes her legs move, her arms swing, and her head turn as if she was really walking! This set was gifted to me by my grandparents for Christmas in the early 1970s, and I am the sole owneer. It mostly went unplayed with, since I was 11 or 12 years old at the time and a getting a bit too old for Barbies. Now I'm close to retiring and my daughter isn't interested in having this set, so it's time for me to let it go to someone I know will truly appreciate it! Included in this set are a Walking Jamie doll, a red, yellow, and blue mini dress with blue belt and matching red mod boots, pet poodle with blue collar and blue and yellow toy ball, knit slacks with matching belted sweater-coat, blue scarf, and blue pilgrim-style shoes. That is everything listed on front of the box. The box is in relatively good condition other than two torn corners (see photos) and expected signs of wear for its age (and all the moves it went through with me my entire life lol). There is a large spot in the box where the original glue has yellowed over time.
