Rare Barbie #2 Brunette Ponytail Display Doll Silhouette Box Plantation Belle
eBay This is the rare Barbie #2 brunette ponytail display doll silhouette box plantation belle. This item is sold in used condition. In my opinion, it is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The item has wear / dirt on them, see pics. The bottom box has split on side and bottom inside/outside edge split. Both have tape on it. The top box lid has 3 corner / edge splits with tape on it. The doll front waist and back, arms have discolor from wearing dress. The left arm has small plastic pc sticking up near elbow. Rough plastic feeling on doll arm in that area, see pics. The arms and legs move up and down fine, but you must take it slow on the legs. They have not been used for long time, and are very stiff to move. The left leg is a harder to move, than the right. The doll right ear has something sticky? on ear, behind it, on hair, see pic. The left ear hole is ripped a little, see pic. The toes/ foot area have a little discolor on front and back, see pics. The dress is tagged, barbie r. The stand is marked tm, and on back marked Japan and Mattel International r, see pic. The necklace is broken. The earring is missing color on round part, see last pic. The white skirt is dirty around waist section. The barbie doll is marked tm. The tm is worn, have to see it on angle closeup. The store display box label says #866 plantation belle. Then under it #966, see pics. Some pics with flash made items brighter, but showed more detail. The doll is not bright white that some pics show. Pic #1 is a close match in color. Please use the pictures to judge the condition and bid on this item yourself. The doll was a store display doll in a large Allentown Pa department store. I got the doll over 30 years ago from original owner. This low production large display silhouette box outfit will make any collection better with this rare barbie set . VTG WORLD OF BARBIE FASHIONS STORE DISPLAY, STACEY, PJ, MOD BARBIE, 4 DOLLS 1970
eBay Up for auction is a vintage Barbie store display, which is dated 1970. This "World of Barbie Fashion Boutique" set is an estate find that is incredibly rare! It includes four dolls: two mod Barbie dolls, a Stacey doll, and a PJ doll. Stacey is wearing a pink negligee set with poodle slippers but the other three dolls are wearing mod fashions. From left to right, the first doll is wearing a yellow pant suit set with yellow high heels, the second is wearing a multi-colored abstract patterned mini dress with green high heels, and the PJ doll is wearing an outfit that epitomizes the 1960s and early 70s: an orange mini dress with plaid skirt and matching orange coat and plaid scarf, with yellow boots. All of the dolls are in new condition, with all original outfits and wrist tags. Each silver tag is marked with the name of the doll on one side and "Made in Japan" on the other. They are charmingly posed in their original store display which is in excellent condition. The blonde Stacey doll has shifted position over the years so that she is partially blocking one of the Barbie dolls, but she seems to be stable at this point. The store display does show some wear, including dents in the plastic, which can be popped out a bit but tend to want to return to their dented state. There are no holes in the plastic though. There is a small area with adhesive residue (probably from a sticker that was removed at some point) on the front and slight slits in the plastic on the top and bottom of the display. There is mild wear to the cardboard in places. I took lots of pictures so please view all of the pictures carefully as they are part of the description. There are no unpleasant odors. This is a must have for the serious Barbie collector!Thank you for looking at my auction. I try hard to disclose any condition issues but it is easy to miss things so please feel free to ask questions or request more pictures. Payment is expected within one day for auctions and I ship within one day of completed purchase. I often use recycled boxes to save on shipping costs. I am offering a flat rate of $35 for the LOWER 48 States ONLY. (Condition: Brand New)

VINTAGE BARBIE #3 PINK SILHOUETTE BOX #961 EVENING SPLENDOR DISPLAY DOLL *RARE*
VINTAGE BARBIE #3 PINK SILHOUETTE BOX #961 EVENING SPLENDOR DISPLAY DOLL *RARE* VINTAGE BARBIE #3 PINK SILHOUETTE BOX #961 EVENING SPLENDOR DISPLAY DOLL *RARE* Description Vintage Blonde Barbie #3 in Original Pink Silhouette Display Box dressed in her store display Evening Splendor Outfit Vintage Original #3 Blonde Barbie Doll from 1960 in her original Pink Silhouette Display box & wearing her best #961 Evening Splendor (Splendour) Complete Outfit. This is the very rare first Pink Silhouette box issued by Mattel! These doll sets were sold to stores to display their Barbie clothes. The Vintage Barbie Evening Splendour ensemble was released in 1959. A masterpiece was definitely created when the Golden Girl #911 sheath dress was issued with a matching coat. Made from the same gold and white brocade as the dress, the coat had three-quarter length sleeves trimmed in simulated fur. The coat was also tailored with a contrasting pale blue satin lining to further accessorize every detail. The outfit was topped off with a headband hat adorned with pearls and trimmed in the same brown fur as the coat and brown open toed heels. She also carried her aqua corduroy purse complete with Hanky and had on her best Pearl stud earrings and graduated pearl necklace to complete the outfit. The dress and coat are in near mint condition and they are the Barbie (R) version. The purse still has it's closure. The hanky is a bit yellowed as it was displayed in her hand all these years. Hat still has all of the pearls and is also in nm condition. Shoes are correctly marked. Barbie is all original - she is the rarer barbie that has the nipples - she has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. Her hair is still in the original ponytail but the lower rubber band has been replaced and the upper one is disintigrating - she has lost the curl at the bottom and hair is a bit flat from being in her box all these years! She has no green ear. Overall this is a gorgeous doll. She comes in her original Pink Silhoutte TM box. It has the Dressed doll sticker on the end. It is in overall excellent condition - it has clear tape at the top corners but otherwise nice and crisp and clean - see pics for overall view. I can provide more pictures if needed - just let me know. Stand not included. Please see the photos for full condition details. See pictures and ask any questions - I do combine shipping and have lots of other Barbie / Family / Friends listed. Please see photos for details and condition. They a part of the description. Photos give the truest depiction of item. I always keep an eye out for imperfections, wear, or damage to articles and fully describe them, but this does not mean I will not miss things from time to time. Shipping SHIPPING: I use The United States Postal Service the majority of the time. I will be happy to combine shipping on multiple wins. I use the shipping calculator or flat rate shipping for all auctions. Please consider the quote in overall purchase price before placing your bid. I use USPS Priority Mail services, UPS Ground for larger items, etc. to get the best quality shipping price for the buyer. Shipping can be upgraded to Express Shipping but a charge will apply for that service. Please let me know at auction end if you would like to upgrade shipping. If it is a non-breakable item I can usually ship for a bit less and skip the shredded paper and just used newspaper. NOTE: Insurance is always included for the safety of your purchase. Keep in mind, you are bidding on a vintage item - expect natural aging....look at the large pictures provided. Also, please be aware that close up pictures might emphasize dust and minor imperfections that you won't see with the naked eye. Most of our items are from 30 to 50 years old and will have some degree of stress cracks, crazing, etc. Expect them. We do not highlight 'typical wear' unless we feel it is out of the norm. Additionally, wires get brittle, rubber dry rots, strings get frail. Talking mechanisms go mute. Battery operated items stop working. All our items are sold for display purposes only. Item History - General (iNCLUDING SIZE, year of production, color, scarcity) WHAT FOLLOWS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING SPECIFIC in this listing Barbie 1960's Dressed Box Japanese Market Exclusive #0946 Dinner at Eight Japan Marketed Exclusive Dressed Box Dolls Circa 1960's - Bubble Cuts/Ponytails These dolls were released and sold exclusively in Japan in the early to mid 1960's. From what we've been able to discern, the only difference in the actual dolls is an occasional side part - otherwise the dolls and the outfits themselves are standard bubble-cuts or ponytails (mostly always bubble cuts) that could be purchased in the United States. Note that being boxed with earrings, it's difficult to find them without some amount of green ear. The stand, booklet, and boxes have unique characteristics to them. The boxes themselves are standard US sold boxes with an English copyright. The box bottoms will a tariff stamp sticker on the bottom end panel inside edge. The box top will have bottom end panel stickers - a Japanese 10 digit stock number and the outfit stock number that matches the outfit number sold on window cards in the U.S. To date, we have found no difference in the outfits themselves. Note that we've never seen a box without some mold staining issues - our theory for the cause is the Japan sea climate - it seems to be an impossible thing to avoid. The dolls often included a Japan market exclusive booklet (with a Japanese girl playing with her Barbies on the cover). The earliest of these boxes included round #3 style, 2 piece stands with Japan exclusive gold lettering. Later issues would have a standard gold stand. Dinner at Eight A complete outfit includes: Jumpsuit, Orange, Strapless Hostess Coat Metallic Gold/Cork Wedge Shoes Get yours today! Payment Policy Payment is due within 2 days of auction close or date of purchase - EXCEPTION: if payment is snail mailed, we request it to be mailed within 2 business days. We try to get most items paid on Monday shipped on Tuesday - but if time doesn't permit, please don't expect package to ship until Friday). Damaged in Shipping Returns & Refund Policy Damaged Items: If an item arrived damaged, contact us immediately. Please be sure to retain ALL packaging including the box and packing materials, and we will file an insurance claim for you. However, we will consider a return if there was a significant oversight in listing. Please contact us for authorization. Buyers would be responsible for ALL return shipping and insurance costs. Insurance would be required and must cover the eBay final bid price. Changes of heart (ie buyer's remorse) will never be a legitimate return reason. We will not consider for return any 'sealed' item which has been open by buyer - regardless of contents. We also reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee for returns or order cancellations - at our discretion. We do NOT offer partial refunds. International Orders We REALLY love selling internationally We've met many people through the years and many have become our dearest friends. Your business is important and valuable to us. However, please do not purchase, if you are unable to comply with the following: WE DO NOT FALSIFY CUSTOMS FORMS. Please do not ask us to put down a false amount or classify as a gift. It is the buyer's responsibility to know and pay all their own country's duty/import taxes and fees. NOTE: We're back baby! Due to the extremely punitive nature of selling internationally on eBay, after decades of selling internationally we had severely restricted our international shipping to just Canada and Japan. In 2022, eBay announced the institution of new international shipping policies that looked very promising and which we welcomed! Since being accepted to eBay's Global Shipping program, we have been faithfully, once again, servicing our international customers! And darned glad to be able to do so! Our eBay Gripes and Complaints! For those of you who missed all the fun - eBay decided to punitively punish us for 9 months as we refused to sign up for their "managed payments" plan - in which eBay hijacked our payments in order to charge us a fee for access to OUR money when we wanted - instead of when they decide to give it to us. We finally relented when they pulled the plug on ALL our active listings (during this time, we couldn't add or edit listings but could let our normal store items "ride"). But eBay has become a very hostile environment for small business sellers - especially vintage dealers whose business model doesn't fall in line with eBay's forced one size fits all we really want to be just like Amazon model. We have been ramping up our presence in other venues - where sales tax isn't collected and we can offer better pricing. Enterprising souls can find us easily by internet searching 'L & L Collectables, San Jose'. Look for us - our eBay inventory is also there - along with non-eBay items. In the meantime, feel free to purchase items here on eBay if you like. " (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Returns: Due to the nature of vintage and collectible items, there are no returns. Everything is sold AS-IS. Buyer is responsible for reading description and reviewing large pictures provided. The pictures are comprehensive - if it's not in the picture, it's not included. The items we sell are vintage collectables so expect natural aging/wear. NOTE (March 2023): Due to the extremely punitive nature of selling internationally on eBay, we had severely restricted our international shipping to just Canada and Japan. In 2022, eBay announced the institution of new international shipping policies that looked very promising. Unfortunately, eBay made it an 'invitation only' and we had to wait until they decided to make the program available to us. Which they just did! We look forward, to once again, servicing our international customers!
