Vintage #3 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner Stand Accessories Box 850
eBay Stunning Original 1959 Blonde #3 Ponytail Barbie with Original Swimsuit, Sunglasses Stand Booklet and Case Fresh from a one owner estate comes this beautiful original blonde ponytail Barbie from 1959. Stock model number 850.. the original teenage fashion, model doll! She is the third issue Mattel Barbie and is in wonderful untouched original condition with no touchups. She has her original hard curl on her ponytail, which has been retied with a matching colored thread. She has that beautiful, baby chick, soft blonde floss hair with a flocked scalp. No missing plugs. And a beautiful full array of curly poodle bangs with a Darling spit curl coming down onto her forehead. She has a beautiful face with side, glancing blue eyes and blue eyeliner. This is one of the more rare versions of Ponytail Barbie as the majority of the #3’s had brown eyeliner . In the Barbie Bazaar magazine, there is a reference to some rare transitional number three Barbies, and this is one of those rare Barbies. For the most part she has even pinkish Body color, some very light fading from her waist to her upper torso no doubt from wearing her swimsuit for many years. The third issue dolls were prone to fading almost completely to white so it is nice that this girl has retained a lot of her original color. She is simply stunning . She retains quite a lot of her fingernail polish. Her right pinky has a darkened tip but no damage. Wonderful original make up with some fading to the lips and a little area at the very end of her left eyebrow .This girl is original with NO TOUCH UPS! And she has the heady smell of crayons ;0). No chew marks, holes or other problems to note. One whole per ear. She is on a solid TM body and has clear markings on her bottom. Number 26 on her left bottom cheek, and Barbie TM Patent Pending, 1958 in Roman numerals by Mattel Japan, Marked Japan on bottom of foot. She comes with an original stock 850 box which is in fantastic condition with very vibrant graphics. The Gay Parisienne version. It is one of the best boxes I have ever seen with virtually no fading, it almost looks new. Amazing! . There is one indented end and the date 1959 has been circled but otherwise the boxes fantastic. See pics Stock number 850, 1959 blonde . The graphics are wonderful as it shows all of Barbies early outfits. There is one tiny missing spot to the black coat on Easter Parade. 1960 Vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie, Brown Eyeliner, w/Extras, Original Owner
My treasure is your great find with this early Mattel number 3 Barbie!This all original vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie with blue eyes and brown eyeliner has been safely stored for more than 60 years. I am the original owner. As a child, I was very careful with my Barbie and she is in excellent vintage condition. She was gently handled and well cared for. Always in a smoke free home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses which are missing one arm. Although Barbie is the real find here... she also comes with eleven outfits and the storage trunk box she has rested in for decades. Most of the clothes are in excellent condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also some rare items like a blue bubble dress and Barbie's tiny vinyl record, titled, "No Thank You."Her face paint, lipstick, delicate cheek blush, nail polish, and toenail polish are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! Her soft shiny hair is beautiful with poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her pony tail broke while I was photographing her so I replaced it. She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces.She has JAPAN lengthwise on the bottom of her right foot. And an "O" is slightly visible on her other foot where I wrote my initial. She has some discoloration on one foot from the shoe.Her solid body is clean. She has all her fingers and toes. Her neck and torso have faded slightly to a lighter ivory color. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration on her right cheek. (See photo)Her left leg doesn't move and I didn't want to force it. But her right leg, arms and head move as they should with tight joints. She has a tiny pin point speck of green behind each earing which is barely visible. 1960 Vintage Early #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie, Brn eyeliner, w/outfits, OrigOwner
This early Mattel number 3 Barbie is all original with no touchups!I am the original owner. She was my first Barbie. She is not perfect but still a wonderful example of this beautiful iconic doll. She was gently handled and stored for more than 60 years in a smokefree home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses.I have included 7 outfits with accessories and the storage trunk box in which she has been stored. Most of the clothes are in excellent vintage condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also two original Mattel Barbie dress patterns packages from 1961. The packages are opened but the patterns were never used. Her face is still gorgeous. The paint, luscious red lipstick, blue eyes and delicate brown eye shadow are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! The red polish on her fingers and toes shows a little rub off. (See photos.)She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces. She has nice poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her ponytail was in fragments when I took her out of the storage case so I replaced it. She has JAPAN on the bottom of her foot in a rectangle. I was told by someone more knowledgeable than I, that indicates an early version of #3. Her overall skin is quite even. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration where her legs have been for so many years. She has all her fingers and toes. She has a few almost imperceptible scratches on her legs that don't show in photos. Her head, arms and legs all move well and the joints are tight. She has a some tiny metallic looking specks on her chest and dark ones on her hip and right temple. Her right ear is slightly marred. There is no green visible behind her earrings. (See photos)Barbie's clothing outfits are all original from about 1960 and are in excellent vintage condition with working zippers. They include the Winter Holiday complete with accessories and the leather-like belt, wedge shoes and plaid travel bag; the Wedding Day set with white satin gown and nylon chiffon over skirt and ruffles, the blue garter belt, pearl tiara veil, shoes and gloves; Friday Night Date with tray, drinks and a straw; Barbie Q Outfit with apron, chef's hat and some utensils; Suburban Shopper, Floral Petticoat and Fashion Undergarments with brush and mirror. Pretty Vintage Blonde Number 3 #3 Mattel Barbie Doll with Blue Eyeliner
This listing is for a very pretty vintage #3 Barbie doll. She has blue eyeliner, which I believe is more rare. Her makeup is very pretty. I can’t say for sure if it is 100% original or not. It’s possible that the eyelash ridges were touched up. I have had this doll for about 25 years and I really don’t remember her history. Her hair has most likely been redone. It has a thick hard curl at the end of the ponytail. I am not a Barbie expert, but I will try to list her flaws. Please message me with any questions about important things I may have missed or overlooked. First, there is a little bit of green in her left ear. It’s not too bad, mostly just confined to the earring hole. I took the gold hoop earrings out when I noticed it and will leave them out. I have replaced them with some pearls with plastic wires. There are some shorter pieces of hair behind her ear on the right side. They’re not too noticeable because they blend in with the style pretty well. There is a tiny “scar” or indentation under her right eye, which is barely noticeable. Her right arm extends outward at a larger angle than the left arm. Her torso seems slightly darker than her extremities and has a pinkish tone. There are a couple of tiny dark spots. One is above her left knee and the other is at the base of her neck on the left side. I can’t read any of the markings because they seem to have worn down so much that they are barely visible. I can very vaguely see where the Barbie logo would be. She will come with a black wire stand, her vintage black and white striped bathing suit, both pearl and gold hoop earrings, a pair of black shoes and a plain white box (not vintage). As I mentioned, I am not a Barbie expert, so please message me with any questions or requests for additional photos. I am always open to reasonable offers. This item comes from a non-smoking home. Features Gay Parisian on the box top. One end of the box top has come off but is included. In addition the box top has one split edge ( top left) and box bottom has one split edge( also top left). Very clean .ZEBRA STRIPED BATHING SUIT no loose seams, stains or loose threads-very nice condition BLACK METAL WIRE STAND which stands straight and has no rust or scratches White and blue CATS EYE SUNGLASSES complete. no scratches BLACK MULE open toe HEELS, straight, no scratches or cracks, left one says JapanPINK BARBIE only cover FASHION BOOKLET in very nice condition- no tears, rips or dog eared pages. Intact.AND BARBIE herself has lovely pale body and face, even toned throughout. Her arms and legs are tight and move as they should . Her head is a bit loose. She has no bruises or marks on her; her right breast has a small indentation. She smells lightly of crayons Her left butt cheek has the desired “TM” indication above the word “Barbie ”Original Fingernail polish fully covers her nails and remains deep red, while toe nail polish is somewhat faded. One foot has the word Japan on it. Her makeup is still the original with the distinctive brown eye shadow. She has a small nose nip. Her original brunette hair has been professionally redone to accentuate the poodle bangs and ponytail. Her hair is all original to her. The only thing NOT vintage and original is the box liner. It is a new, nice and white reproduction that I bought recently to accommodate better doll storage while in the box. This original vintage raven haired Barbie was mine as a child.
