Barbie #1 Ponytail- Fabulous . SPECIAL OFFER
This is the One and Only Iconic #1 Ponytail Barbie, “born” on March 9, 1959. She is fabulous with a soft blonde ponytail that looks like it has the original tie.The curl at bottom of the ponytail has been cinched into a tight curl, held in place with some small amount of product. (See pictures.)Her bangs have what appears to be two rows of tiny original curls,No nose nips or neck splits. No strange smells. No spots or marks.Her torso and arms enjoy uniformly peach tones. No fading of the ivory skin color, of her torso. Her face is a tiny bit paler, hardly noticeable.As with most of the earliest Barbies, she has a faded, light reddish gray stain across the tops of her feet from wearing her early black heels for 60 years.Her lip paint is perfect, no rubs.She also has a wonderful, hard-to-find “nipple” body.She also has the metal rods in her feet. (See pictures)I’ve added some photos that show the back of her hair and the pristine nature of the updo. Her skin is uniformly creamy white all over ,with no stains or green spots. She has the classic Barbie #3 TM solid cast vinyl body that smells like crayons . And her joints are tight. Her box is in fair/good condition with some inside corner tape repair and replaced liner. VINTAGE BLONDE & BRUNETTE PONYTAIL BARBIE LOT #3 AND #4 SOLID BODY Up for auction is a large lot of vintage blonde and brunette Ponytail Barbies! There are 2 definite #3's, another possible as it looks like the skin started to change (these are the 3 dolls on the right side), and the rest are #4's. Most if not all have been worked on. It looks like some have had green ear lightened, make-up fixes, etc. One has red spots on her arm. One has some light red staining on her backside. There are various marks as shown. One has a strange raised oval on her back. Please be sure to scroll down through the entire listing to see all of the photos. There are 60+. I believe that the hair is all original, but am not 100% sure. The #3 that is partially changing color has a slightly wobbly head. I did not undo the hair on the one with the updo, so do not know its length. One has chew marks on her hand and there are some nicks on some dolls. I tried to show everything that I noticed. Vintage #2 Brunette Ponytail Barbie & Easter Parade
She started out as a VERY well loved #2, with pretty much just one white iris eye left, (see last pic. She IS a #2 as seen by the white paint left in her eye) and now has a new lease on life. She actually turned out way better than I thought she would! She will display beautifully! I chose a spray set updo as the best option due to her frizzles and a few spots of slightly shorter and thinner hair. She's missing a spot of flocking at the top. Her makeup, nails can be completely removed and redone if you chose to do so as I am just a hobbyist. She had a few scuffs near and on her lips buffed out to be less noticeable (her lips still have a bit of a rougher texture). Her head turns much easier than a less played with barbie. Easter Parade was a brand new repro on card and it looks great on her. Please look at pics carefully as I can't possible point out every last minute detail. She is going to have a few discolorations and play marks. For the less picky collector, a more affordable option for a #2 than spending over $5000. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Her pink scarf was in poor condition from aging and her microphone was damaged as well.I gave her a pair of vintage long black gloves, a new pink stole and new pink jewelry, new pink pearl bracelet and pearl necklace and pink faux diamond earrings.Such a great find! Made in Japan in 1960, this beautiful number three Barbie with the unusual brown eyeliner is ready for a new home and outfit. She's in very good condition. She is on the early #3 TM body. She smells like crayons. Her skin has faded to a light creamy color. Her makeup is perfect and all nail polish present.Her earring holes are original and perfect. Her body is in excellent condition. There might be a few minor rubs.Her hair is (WAS) in an updo that might be coming undone on the left side. See pics. I did not want to take it down and ruin it. (surprise, too many questions on the hair so it is pulled down.) She had old pins and some thread holding it in place. Looks full and uncut. Tips were never curled so likely was an original updo.
