Mattel Vintage # 1 Barbie Doll in Gay Parisienne
eBay This vintage Barbie doll from Mattel is a must-have for any collector. Outfit is missing original navy shoes & pearl earrings, I included a pair of reproduction navy shoes. There is some coating missing on the graduated pearl necklace & button clasp on the gold velvet clutch bag. Dress is in excellent condition, except a little fraying on tag.Also included is a pair of vintage black #1 shoes & black & white zebra striped bathing suit which could a washing. VINTAGE BRUNETTE BARBIE #3 DOLL in VINTAGE GAY PARISIENNE #964 COMPLETE *RARE* VINTAGE BRUNETTE BARBIE #3 DOLL in VINTAGE GAY PARISIENNE #964 COMPLETE *RARE* Description Vintage Brunette Barbie #3 in Original Gay Parisienne #964 Vintage #3 Brunette Barbie Doll from 1960 wearing one of the hardest to find collectible outfits from 1959 - she is ready for her night out in Paris! The Vintage Barbie Gaye Parisienne #964 ensemble was released in 1959. Vintage Barbie Gay Parisienne combined couture design with elegant accessories to create one of the most successful designs of 1959. The dress is a deep blue rayon taffeta bubble dress and is in minty comdition. Same fabric bows trimmed in white adorn the hem in front and the top of the zipper closing in the back. The hat is a matching blue tulle veiled headband. The white satin lined faux fur stole is in great condition. The small gold velvet clutch has a gold bead closure and is lined in white satin. The white gloves, pearl necklace and gold hoop earrings complete the ensemble. This vintage ensemble is rare and hard to find, as it was only produced in 1959. Barbie is also in Excellent condition - she is the #3 Ponytail Barbie but her face has been painted to resemble a #1/#2 Barbie - she has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. Her hair is still in the original ponytail but her bangs are not good and have been styled to match the Paris outfit she is wearing - she still has a curl at the bottom of the ponytail. She has no green ear but holes for earrings are a bit darker. She has green dot on the back of the neck from the necklace clasp and a few indents around the front of her neck where the necklace has been sitting for so long - see pics. Her makeup is nice and bright! Overall this is a Gorgeous doll and she is ready to be a show stopper in your vintage Barbie display. 1960 Vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie, Brown Eyeliner, w/Extras, Original Owner
My treasure is your great find with this early Mattel number 3 Barbie!This all original vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie with blue eyes and brown eyeliner has been safely stored for more than 60 years. I am the original owner. As a child, I was very careful with my Barbie and she is in excellent vintage condition. She was gently handled and well cared for. Always in a smoke free home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses which are missing one arm. Although Barbie is the real find here... she also comes with eleven outfits and the storage trunk box she has rested in for decades. Most of the clothes are in excellent condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also some rare items like a blue bubble dress and Barbie's tiny vinyl record, titled, "No Thank You."Her face paint, lipstick, delicate cheek blush, nail polish, and toenail polish are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! Her soft shiny hair is beautiful with poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her pony tail broke while I was photographing her so I replaced it. She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces.She has JAPAN lengthwise on the bottom of her right foot. And an "O" is slightly visible on her other foot where I wrote my initial. She has some discoloration on one foot from the shoe.Her solid body is clean. She has all her fingers and toes. Her neck and torso have faded slightly to a lighter ivory color. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration on her right cheek. (See photo)Her left leg doesn't move and I didn't want to force it. But her right leg, arms and head move as they should with tight joints. She has a tiny pin point speck of green behind each earing which is barely visible. (See photo)Barbie's clothing outfits are all original from about 1960 and include the Nighty Negligee, Sweater Girl, Suburban Shopper, Registered Nurse, Resort Set, Picnic Set, Golden Girl, Peachy-Fleece Coat, Plantation Bell, American Airlines Stewardess and Solo in the Spotlight. eBay Presenting the vintage Mattel original, very rare, Japanese Exclusive Barbie outfit. The outfit is complete and was on the cover of "Barbie Bazaar" magazine - December, 2001 - photo #13. Outfit is in beautiful little play condition and is further described: 1) Red velvet coat with white fur trim and large white buttons. Excellent condition - no holes, no tears, no seam pulls, no stains, no rubs to velvet. Fur is snow white with no shedding. Some very subtle darkening on the velvet on the sides - either from aging or handling.2) Red silk sheath dress. Very good, crisp condition - no holes, no tears, no soil. All top stitching is intact. Stress on top of both shoulder seams and three itty, bitty faint microscopic spots on front (camera doesn't pick up.)3) White hood with fur trim. Excellent no play condition - crisp, spotless, flawless & pristine. Fur is snow white with no shedding. 4) White vinyl clutch purse with silver bead. Doesn't appear to have ever been open. No rubs to bead. Discoloration on front, left side - caused by whatever was stored next to it. 5) White closed toe heels with Japan on the bottoms. Pure white with no discoloration, no fingernail impressions, no wear. Tiny split on back of one - possibly came this way from Mattel factory. These shoes were the actually ones with this outfit. Vintage 1960's Barbie Francie Japanese Market Exclusive Pink Dress
I have recently acquired an entire vintage Barbie collection and will be listing various dolls, clothing and accessories within the next few months.This listing is for a very hard-to-find vintage Francie Japanese Market Exclusive pink dress from the 1960's as shown on page 92 in the "Barbie in Japan" book. Overall, it is in good condition for it's age; just a little wrinkled from storage. The pink velvet bow is beautiful. The pink velvet around the neckline has a little glue residue. The sheer sleeves are excellent however, the elastic at the wrists is no longer stretchy. There are no rips, snags or tears. There is some discoloration near the right armpit and mostly around the zipper on the back side. No tag which is typical of the Japanese Market Exclusive outfits. Barbie Vintage Gay Parisienne (1959) #964 - Complete & Beautiful!
This 1959 vintage Barbie ensemble is definitely one of the most desirable, not only for its rarity, but for its beauty and significance in depicting the high style of the 1950s. It was shown only in the 1959 catalog. The dress is a bubble dress fashioned in a deep blue pindot rayon taffeta with accent bows. These bows adorn the hem in front and the top of the zipper closing in the back. The many accessories include a glamorous veiled headband hat in matching blue tulle. A fluffy rabbit fur stole with pink lining, long white tricot gloves and deep blue open toed pumps. No outfit is complete without jewelry and Barbie doll chose a “pearl” look graduated strand necklace with matching earrings and a gold velvet clutch lined in white satin. This is one of three outfits that Mattel made the first year of Barbie (in 1959) that was never replicated or sold again.The tag on the dress is “R” because it was made late in the year. The mink stole has a “TM” tag and pink lining - not white. This is very unusual, because Mattel only made a rabbit stole for this outfit. No idea how the stole had a TM tag and a pink lining, instead of white.The dress is pristine, as is the hat. The mink stole is pure white and has a beautiful pale pink satin. The #1 shoes are a beautiful dark navy with the holes intact - no splits! The white gloves are beautiful and the necklace is just lovely. The earrings have tinged a little, and it looks like some of the white has flaked off (several photos included) Please check the photos and ask any questions before purchase as this vintage item cannot be returned.This comes from a pet free and smoke free home. Up for consideration is this beautiful and all original 'Gay Parisienne' complete outfit, Barbie Tag R from 1959, 964 Description:Navy blue taffeta dress with white pindots...has both bows attached at front bottom hemline and back zipper closure. Dress has no fading-great color, crisp, spotless with no holes or stress at seams. YKK zipper fully functional.Navy blue tulle headband has both crystal beads, veil is perfect without any rips or tears, crisp and spotless.Hard to find gold velvet clutch purse has excellent color, beautiful white satin lining, gold metal clasp, and gold bead present and fully functional Rabbit Fur stole with white satin lining is very thick, both original hook and eye attached. Tag R. Shows minimal shedding. Lining has beautifully 'antiqued' over the years.Long white tricot gloves are without snags or holes; seams intact.Pearl necklace has great luster remaining and pearls are beautifully 'antiqued' as well. Original clasp shows tarnishing. Matching pearl stud earrings are also included in this outfit, but have lost some of their luster.To complete this outfit are the navy blue OT heels in excellent condition, no splits, heels strait, L marked Japan.This is an amazing hard to find complete Gay Parisienne outfit in this condition!!!
