#1 Ponytail Barbie #850 1959 One owner, my mother who became a fashion merchandiser and lampshade designer. She loved this doll and it comes with many original partial outfits, detailed below. She even had some outfits handmade for this doll, in 1960, which we're including as part of this dolls story. The doll was purchased in 1959-1960 for my mom when she was eleven by her older sister from Uncle Tom’s Toys (now Tom’s Toys) at 682 Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo, California, and Tom's is still in business. All of the other outfits were also purchased around the same time. Blonde saran ponytail hair & curly bangs. Pointy ^ ^ eyebrows like lightening bolts, side glancing eyes with white irises, and hand painted face. Closed red painted mouth. Brass metal cylinders in feet, that fit onto the stainless pins on the black Bakelite stand which has two chips, with Mattel Deboss. This allows her to stand "on her own feet." Vintage #1 Barbie Ponytail Original Paint and Hair with Box Beautiful Face +++
eBay For your consideration is a beautiful, number one, ponytail Barbie. One owner, who keep this doll in a cedar chest all these years. Her face is one of the most beautiful that I have ever, still retaining all of it's original paint, even on her cheeks! Her hair is in it's original set and looks like the original rubber band. The only flaw that I can see is some discoloration on her feet where she had on shoes. It may come off but I ain't gonna touch it! Both of the metal shafts are present on the holes in her feet but one is shoved up into the hole, please see photos. All paint is present on her nails and toes. All limbs are tight and move well. Her torso even retains some of the original flesh color! Such nice clear crisp markings on her butt and foot. Comes with her original swimsuit and box. Box has one end missing and the other end has splits on the corners, please see photos. Also included are the coat and sheath dress for Evening Splendor. She had on this bra but I am not familiar enough with Barbie to know if it is a Barbie bra or not. It fits perfectly. Also one brown shoe with the hole in it, it is not marked Japan. Huge Lot Of 400 pcs Vintage Barbies Collection Series Doll Mattel 1980-2020 READ
Incredible collection of 400 Barbie dolls. All Barbies are in their original boxes and in brand-new condition. On some boxes (about 20-30), the plastic protective part has cracked, and a few boxes are slightly dented, but the dolls inside are new. In some boxes, a few accessories might be missing (e.g., a shoe or a comb). I will provide additional photos upon request.The item has never been taken out of the box as far as I know, I bought this years ago from someone, but since I'm not the original ownerAs I mentioned it has never been played with. The box itself has some marks, fraying around the edges, some creasing and bending of the cardboard. I tried to make it all visible in the pictures. I try to take detailed pictures to ensure that the buyer knows what they are purchasing. Five books with names of many other outfits which we have...for example, American Airlines Stewardess; Sheath Sensation; Solo in the Spotlight; Let's Dance; Cruise Striped Dress; Resort Set with tennis racket; Registered Nurse; Graduation Gown and Hat; Busy Gal; Cotton Casual; Friday Night Date; Basic Barbie Doll Fashion Model Set (the black and white striped swimsuit, two of those); After Five; Career Girl; Sweet Dreams; several mix and match; pajamas (2 pair) and a slip. Accessories: cooking (apple, Barbie tray, orange juice (2), spatula, spoon, rolling pin); soap; ten hats; nine purses; 31 hangers; 18 pairs of shoes, various colors; the pink phone; a Barbie design portfolio; as well as more accessories, stockings, tights; white and black gloves, long and short, 2 rabbit stoles, (one is missing a hook), 9 purses. The white box says TM Lic., by Mattel, Inc. 1961--there are two circles, mostly black; the larger black one with Solo on it (here in a brown dress, we have the black one), says R in a circle TM Lic., & C in a circle, by Mattel Inc. 1962. Condition is very good on most things, some things and clothes are like new, some have a few flaws like a stain but these can be washed, or as on the Enchanted Evening, i think shld be dry cleaned; but on the whole everything is in very good condition, see photos, everything is in there; all of this has been owned by one person since childhood. One of the books has marks which we think showed her mother and grandmother what had been bought so they knew what to choose from next. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

VINTAGE BARBIE #3 PINK SILHOUETTE BOX #961 EVENING SPLENDOR DISPLAY DOLL *RARE* VINTAGE BARBIE #3 PINK SILHOUETTE BOX #961 EVENING SPLENDOR DISPLAY DOLL *RARE* Description Vintage Blonde Barbie #3 in Original Pink Silhouette Display Box dressed in her store display Evening Splendor Outfit Vintage Original #3 Blonde Barbie Doll from 1960 in her original Pink Silhouette Display box & wearing her best #961 Evening Splendor (Splendour) Complete Outfit. This is the very rare first Pink Silhouette box issued by Mattel! These doll sets were sold to stores to display their Barbie clothes. The Vintage Barbie Evening Splendour ensemble was released in 1959. A masterpiece was definitely created when the Golden Girl #911 sheath dress was issued with a matching coat. Made from the same gold and white brocade as the dress, the coat had three-quarter length sleeves trimmed in simulated fur. The coat was also tailored with a contrasting pale blue satin lining to further accessorize every detail. The outfit was topped off with a headband hat adorned with pearls and trimmed in the same brown fur as the coat and brown open toed heels. She also carried her aqua corduroy purse complete with Hanky and had on her best Pearl stud earrings and graduated pearl necklace to complete the outfit. The dress and coat are in near mint condition and they are the Barbie (R) version. The purse still has it's closure. The hanky is a bit yellowed as it was displayed in her hand all these years. Hat still has all of the pearls and is also in nm condition. Shoes are correctly marked. Barbie is all original - she is the rarer barbie that has the nipples - she has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. Her hair is still in the original ponytail but the lower rubber band has been replaced and the upper one is disintigrating - she has lost the curl at the bottom and hair is a bit flat from being in her box all these years! She has no green ear. Overall this is a gorgeous doll. She comes in her original Pink Silhoutte TM box. It has the Dressed doll sticker on the end. It is in overall excellent condition - it has clear tape at the top corners but otherwise nice and crisp and clean - see pics for overall view.
