Well this lovely lady has been with me for quite some time. Sadly, I am parting with her to buy new furniture. This doll was purchased from the estate of childhood owner and came dressed in Gay Parisienne! I sold the outfit and kept the doll. Anyway She is ALL ORIGINAL WITH NO RETOUCH! This is how she was purchased. She wears her original zebra SS. No missing hair. Hair is uncut. Hair is original topknot but it’s loose. Bottom rubber band remnant remains. She has safe replacement earrings. No missing fingers. Rods still in legs. See holes in feet. No stand or box. #1 Blonde Vintage Ponytail Barbie 1959 All Original Rare Doll VHTF TM Box!
In overall outstanding condition and a beautiful example of this rare and HTF dollAll paint is original! No touch-ups on the face or fingers or toes.No green ear - EVER.No haircuts. Hair is not damaged, has lots of curly bangs and is still in the original set! The topknot is original with the original band. The bottom hard curl has softened up over the years but retains most of it's shape and the bottom band has been replaced to hold the style.Barbie's body is mostly a very even tan! She's retained most of her color aside from a spot I saw on the back of leg (see photo) I did not notice any other striking differences in her color. I believe both of the metal tubes are there but one looks like it's pushed up inside the leg.Barbie comes with her TM booklet, her number 1 black mules with holes in the soles, her iconic white sunglasses, hoop earrings original box, neck liner and a leaflet on bending the legs. The box has some shelf wear with some corner repairs and a couple of splits but it displays beautifully. DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT KNOW THE PROVENANCE OF THE NECK LINER OR THE LEAFLET. Beautiful Vintage #1 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner OG Stand & Collection!
RARE FIND! Number One Blonde Ponytail Barbie with the Original Early Fashions, Pronged TM Mattel #1 Stand Accessories and Case Little nine year old Alice received the first issue Barbie teenage fashion doll for Christmas in 1959. Mattel’s Barbie had just made her debut at the International Toy show in New York. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special number one Barbie with the original “one owner” childhood collection. It includes many early fashions, complete with the jewelry and accessories This Ponytail Barbie is stunning with her cute upturned nose and signature ponytail. She has dramatic lightning shaped eyebrows and handpainted makeup ; blue side glancing eyes, blue eyeliner, smoky eye shadow, coral red lips, red fingernails and toenails. She’s truly stunning and in remarkable condition for being 64 years old. She is 99% original and retains most of her original factory characteristics This number one blonde ponytail has the extended hairline, which is different from the number threes and later dolls. She is very unusual and rare in that she has two distinctly different hairlines from left to right. Her right side is curved and differs from the straighter hairline on the left. She is wearing her original hairstyle set with the top knot and hard curl at the bottom. The ponytail has been retied with matching colored thread as the band was shot. Her hair is uncut and she has no missing plugs. She has a flocked scalp, silky floss hair in baby chick yellow, full poodle bangs with well defined curls and a cute spit curl on her forehead. Her make up is excellent. as is the the nail and toenail polish. She has all of the correct markings on her bottom; Mattel Barbie TM, 1958 in Roman numerals, pat pending and the number 65. She is marked Japan on the bottom of one foot. Her limbs are nice and tight, but she is able to hold any pose. Her neck moves freely, and there are no issues. She has beautiful and even creamy, pale pinkish ivory body color which is amazing as I e usually sees a in e sort of fading . She has beautiful straight legs with the desired daylight shown only between the thigh and knee , and knee and ankle…A sign of classical beauty with models. She has holes in each of her feet with the original copper tubes present. And she even has her original Mattel TM two prong stand which is very valuable! She has had very minor work done.. a professional restoration to her right pinky and a little touch up to her eyelash ridges. There was also one teeny pinpoint freckle on her left leg just below the knee that has been touched up to match the body color . If you look closely at the photos, you will see how gorgeous this doll is. I have not seen one in original condition that is this outstanding. Barbie has a boyfriend , Ken, who will be listed in a separate listing. Blonde Barbie comes with her original iconic black and white swimsuit, white cat, eyeglasses, black, OT mules with holes. Thankfully her feet do not have any of the staining that is typical with these Barbies. She also has her original gold bangle, hoop earrings! One hole per ear and no green ear! How perfect is this girl?! She is FABULOUS! It was so fun to find Barbie in her original little nest with all the fun boxes and precious accessories that Alice had lovingly kept and preserved. You can tell that this Barbie was truly loved and treasured. Vintage #1 Barbie Ponytail Original Paint and Hair with Box Beautiful Face +++
eBay For your consideration is a beautiful, number one, ponytail Barbie. One owner, who keep this doll in a cedar chest all these years. Her face is one of the most beautiful that I have ever, still retaining all of it's original paint, even on her cheeks! Her hair is in it's original set and looks like the original rubber band. The only flaw that I can see is some discoloration on her feet where she had on shoes. It may come off but I ain't gonna touch it! Both of the metal shafts are present on the holes in her feet but one is shoved up into the hole, please see photos. All paint is present on her nails and toes. All limbs are tight and move well. Her torso even retains some of the original flesh color! Such nice clear crisp markings on her butt and foot. Comes with her original swimsuit and box. Box has one end missing and the other end has splits on the corners, please see photos. Also included are the coat and sheath dress for Evening Splendor. She had on this bra but I am not familiar enough with Barbie to know if it is a Barbie bra or not. It fits perfectly. Also one brown shoe with the hole in it, it is not marked Japan. There is no green ear whatsoever. After I listed her, an ebay member let me know they see a microscopic defect on the doll's left nostril, see last photo. I never knew or saw it until I listed her on ebay. She is one of the most gorgeous number 1 Barbies I have owned. I am super hyper critical and detailed with my sales, so am making sure I disclose it. she has gorgeous thick bangs and a shiny long ponytail which is a huge plus with the earlier 1959 #1 dolls. This belonged to a girl who said it was her mother's. She is blonde with very nice rooted hair. Her earings are replaced. The eyebrows are pointed in boomerang fashion.the irises are white. Her torso is marked "BARBIE" Pat Pend MCMIV11.By Mattel Inc.The left cheek has a number.There are holes in the feet to stand her. She is very clean and shows little wear. She has a suit but no shoes.
