vintage barbie doll 900 Series complete outfits-doll not included
My aunt owned a paint store in 1959 when I was 10 years old. She also sold toys in a special section upstairs and my sister and I looked forward every year to visiting her shop and picking out things we wanted to put on our Christmas list. My birthday is in November, and the year I turned 10, she gave me one of the first Mattel Barbies made in Japan. I thought Barbie wasn’t very pretty, but I loved her clothes. She is long gone, but her outfits are alive and in excellent condition, as I became obsessed with her clothes. I would not let anyone touch my Barbie, and on every Birthday and Christmas until I became a teen, all I asked for were Barbie outfits. She had more clothes than I ever dreamed of having. Now I am 73 years old and have 2 beautiful granddaughters and 7 great nieces who love Barbie too. I would love to leave this cherished collection to my granddaughters or a great nieces, but none of them would ever value these items as I did. They would end up lost, tossed aside or in the trash. So, as much as it breaks my heart to sell these items, I feel selling them can benefit my education in the future. A few pieces were missing, like an earring or glove, but replaced by me. Five books with names of many other outfits which we have...for example, American Airlines Stewardess; Sheath Sensation; Solo in the Spotlight; Let's Dance; Cruise Striped Dress; Resort Set with tennis racket; Registered Nurse; Graduation Gown and Hat; Busy Gal; Cotton Casual; Friday Night Date; Basic Barbie Doll Fashion Model Set (the black and white striped swimsuit, two of those); After Five; Career Girl; Sweet Dreams; several mix and match; pajamas (2 pair) and a slip. Accessories: cooking (apple, Barbie tray, orange juice (2), spatula, spoon, rolling pin); soap; ten hats; nine purses; 31 hangers; 18 pairs of shoes, various colors; the pink phone; a Barbie design portfolio; as well as more accessories, stockings, tights; white and black gloves, long and short, 2 rabbit stoles, (one is missing a hook), 9 purses. The white box says TM Lic., by Mattel, Inc. 1961--there are two circles, mostly black; the larger black one with Solo on it (here in a brown dress, we have the black one), says R in a circle TM Lic., & C in a circle, by Mattel Inc. 1962. Condition is very good on most things, some things and clothes are like new, some have a few flaws like a stain but these can be washed, or as on the Enchanted Evening, i think shld be dry cleaned; but on the whole everything is in very good condition, see photos, everything is in there; all of this has been owned by one person since childhood. One of the books has marks which we think showed her mother and grandmother what had been bought so they knew what to choose from next. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

She has no green ear .There is a very slight grey spot on her back. Her hair is lovely and she has a mostly even white color all over. As for the dolls some of the fingers are missing and some of the heads have tears in the necks. I know one of the heads is Quick Curl Kelley with Steffie face. The brunette heads are from Hair Fair and another one is Growin Pretty Hair Barbie. The hinges on the suitcases are broken and were held together with tape. eBay Vintage Gay Parisienne Barbie outfit Complete which includes, HTF purse with white satin inside, original stole in great condition, #1 blue shoes with holes and “Japan” on right bottom of shoe, earrings with original packaging that are in excellent shape. beautiful dress with both bows attached and a working zipper no visible stains tears or mends, black & white Barbie label, necklace has some wear but still in good workable condition, original hat with band intact and original beads also intact, no rips or tears in hat netting. #4 blond ponytail Barbie with box (some damage to box see pics), stand, 2 version of booklet one( doesn’t have the Roman Holiday or Gay Parisienne shown. Doll’s original face, nail & toe paint fully intact one nail slightly chipped, both ears have slight green ear all limbs are tight and move freely. Some slight normal scratching throughout body, left thigh has an indented line. Hair has been retied. No neck splits, also includes partial Vintage Poodle parade outfit in played in condition with some discoloration as shown. Also includes Complete Red Flare Vintage outfit. Gem is missing from purse.
