1960 Vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie, Brown Eyeliner, w/Extras, Original Owner
My treasure is your great find with this early Mattel number 3 Barbie!This all original vintage #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie with blue eyes and brown eyeliner has been safely stored for more than 60 years. I am the original owner. As a child, I was very careful with my Barbie and she is in excellent vintage condition. She was gently handled and well cared for. Always in a smoke free home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses which are missing one arm. Although Barbie is the real find here... she also comes with eleven outfits and the storage trunk box she has rested in for decades. Most of the clothes are in excellent condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also some rare items like a blue bubble dress and Barbie's tiny vinyl record, titled, "No Thank You."Her face paint, lipstick, delicate cheek blush, nail polish, and toenail polish are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! Her soft shiny hair is beautiful with poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her pony tail broke while I was photographing her so I replaced it. She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces.She has JAPAN lengthwise on the bottom of her right foot. And an "O" is slightly visible on her other foot where I wrote my initial. She has some discoloration on one foot from the shoe.Her solid body is clean. She has all her fingers and toes. Her neck and torso have faded slightly to a lighter ivory color. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration on her right cheek. (See photo)Her left leg doesn't move and I didn't want to force it. But her right leg, arms and head move as they should with tight joints. She has a tiny pin point speck of green behind each earing which is barely visible. (See photo)Barbie's clothing outfits are all original from about 1960 and include the Nighty Negligee, Sweater Girl, Suburban Shopper, Registered Nurse, Resort Set, Picnic Set, Golden Girl, Peachy-Fleece Coat, Plantation Bell, American Airlines Stewardess and Solo in the Spotlight. 1960 Vintage Early #3 Blond Ponytail Barbie, Brn eyeliner, w/outfits, OrigOwner
This early Mattel number 3 Barbie is all original with no touchups!I am the original owner. She was my first Barbie. She is not perfect but still a wonderful example of this beautiful iconic doll. She was gently handled and stored for more than 60 years in a smokefree home. She comes with the original zebra striped bathing suit, black mules and white sunglasses.I have included 7 outfits with accessories and the storage trunk box in which she has been stored. Most of the clothes are in excellent vintage condition but missing a few accessories as you can see in the photos. There are also two original Mattel Barbie dress patterns packages from 1961. The packages are opened but the patterns were never used. Her face is still gorgeous. The paint, luscious red lipstick, blue eyes and delicate brown eye shadow are all 100% original with no touch ups, rubs, or missing paint! The red polish on her fingers and toes shows a little rub off. (See photos.)She has all of her original hair with no missing plugs or cut pieces. She has nice poodle bangs and the original top knot. The original hair band on her ponytail was in fragments when I took her out of the storage case so I replaced it. She has JAPAN on the bottom of her foot in a rectangle. I was told by someone more knowledgeable than I, that indicates an early version of #3. Her overall skin is quite even. The Mattel marking is clear on her tush but she has some discoloration where her legs have been for so many years. She has all her fingers and toes. She has a few almost imperceptible scratches on her legs that don't show in photos. Her head, arms and legs all move well and the joints are tight. She has a some tiny metallic looking specks on her chest and dark ones on her hip and right temple. Her right ear is slightly marred. There is no green visible behind her earrings. (See photos)Barbie's clothing outfits are all original from about 1960 and are in excellent vintage condition with working zippers. They include the Winter Holiday complete with accessories and the leather-like belt, wedge shoes and plaid travel bag; the Wedding Day set with white satin gown and nylon chiffon over skirt and ruffles, the blue garter belt, pearl tiara veil, shoes and gloves; Friday Night Date with tray, drinks and a straw; Barbie Q Outfit with apron, chef's hat and some utensils; Suburban Shopper, Floral Petticoat and Fashion Undergarments with brush and mirror. RARE Vintage 1960 Barbie Doll #3 Brunette Ponytail Original Earrings Shoes Purse
eBay Original Barbie #3 wirh original earrings and shoes (from what I can tell they’re all originals as well as the purse. This was my mother’s Barbie from childhood and was played with but then sat in a trunk for storage for years.This is not her original attire (ie zebra swimsuit) but I believe is vintage Barbie clothing. The blue article of clothing is a vest/tank top.I had previous Ebay members reach out and provide me with more education on the doll to help collector’s out so I want to be as specific as possible with condition Weight: 0.4 lbsHeight: ~12”From what I can tell and tried to show in pictures as best as possible, her right buttox pendC MCMLVIIIByMatel Inc”I had an Ebay member explain it is not the original body if there is not a “TM” next to the barbie name so this might not be the original body. However, there is also a good possibility that the TM has simply faded away because the rest of the inscription is present. The doll does have a “crayon” type smell to it with “Japan” on the foot bottom, so I assume it is an early and original Barbie body. I have not tried to clean or groom the doll because I don’t want to risk damaging her. Her clothes and the shoes have some damage (1 broken red heel and cloththing partial tears) as depicted. Her fingers (right index finger in particular) might have some damage or chipping and you can tell her nail polish on hands and feet is chipping. Overall, hair seems to be in good condition along with face makeup.I did not attempt to remove earrings to check for green staining for fear of damaging her. However, I zoomed in as much as possible and don’t see any green.I unfortunately can’t take returns on an item this expensive but will do my very best efforts in packaging and shipping the item and will ship promptly. Vintage 1960 gorgeous original #3 Ponytail Brunette Barbie Doll #850 in EXCELLENT vintage condition! Her makeup and hair are original, her hair is in it’s original style. The hair is a bit matted in back from storage in her Barbie trunk. She has fair skin with hardly any dirt or discoloration whatsoever as seen in photos. Her makeup looks great with red lips and blue eyes. There are no scrapes, chips, dents, or nicks of any kind, she was rarely played with. The manufacturer markings on her behind are shown in photos My mother gave me all of her original vintage Barbie dolls and accessories to sell for her. Her pearl earrings are missing but her ears look great. She comes with her original black and white swimsuit AND blue shaded sunglasses as well as her black shoes!! The sunglasses are missing one arm as seen in photo. There is a break in one of the black shoe straps but the shoe still stays on. Please see all photos, I tried to show as much as I could as to the wonderful condition of this #3 doll!! The Barbie storage trunk is NOT included.
