Early 1960s Barbie Mattel Ponytail Doll with Accessories
Both #3 and #4 Ponytail Barbies were issued in 1960. It can be difficult to tell the #3 and #4 Ponytails apart when they have blue shadow. One of the viewers senta message saying that it was a #4 and he could tell by the skin color. Experts say relying on skin color can still be confusing. Vintage Barbie RARE very hard to find #1186 Talking Busy Steffie. This doll was made for only one year in 1972-1973, she is in excellent near mint super clean condition and she looks like she was never played with, she is from my personal Barbie collection and I have had her for many years displayed behind glass, she is complete with her original wrist tag that has come apart on one side (see photo), her original complete outfit, all of her accessories that are in mint condition and her clear doll stand. Please be aware that these dolls have to be handled with ABSOLUTE CARE as they have the tendency to fall apart easily just by handling them. Her arms and legs are attached securely and her knees click hard 3 times and hold position but please be aware that the joints are a fragile due to Mattel design flaw and should be handled very carefully. Her hair is beautiful and very clean and shiny, the curls on the side seem to be slightly darker in color than the rest of her hair and I’m assuming this is due to age. Her face paint is beautiful, eyelashes are full and long. Her outfit is in mint condition, no rips, stains or holes in her outfit. Her pull string seems to be stuck, I did try to pull on it slightly but didn’t pull very hard for fear it would brake so I’m assuming she is mute. Doll stand not included. This is a hard to find German francie doll. Shes the straight leg doll. The body is in good condition. There is a photo that shows the worst of it, so it's very minor as you can see. She has a pink face, so her body is a little bit paler than her face.

This RARE IN PACKAGE doll HAS NEVER BEEN REMOVED FROM PACKAGE, and has been in storage since purchase over 50 years ago! The package does show wear, and it appears that my Grandmother (whom collected these) taped it to keep the doll and accessories in place. (I KNOW!!! - sorry!!! - she tried her best to keep her in box! ). :)I am not a collector, and simply inherited this and other vintage pieces, so I try to always represent in the best possible way. NOTE TOYS MAY AND SHOULD BE CLEANED BEFORE USE. Vintage Steffie has her original outfit minus underwear and only 1 stocking. Pull cord pulls out and goes back in super fast so does not have sound. Her left arm falls off, right arm works as it should. Legs are super tight and I don’t want to try to hard and break her. She will need cleaned and her cloths as well. Here is a neat busy steffie doll for your collection. She has no neck splits, no missing hair plugs, and no missing toes/fingers. Her legs click and bend as they should and her limbs are not loose or swingy. Her pull cord pulls and retracts but she does not speak. She has been played with but would display nicely.
