#1 Blonde Vintage Ponytail Barbie 1959 All Original Rare Doll VHTF TM Box!
In overall outstanding condition and a beautiful example of this rare and HTF dollAll paint is original! No touch-ups on the face or fingers or toes.No green ear - EVER.No haircuts. Hair is not damaged, has lots of curly bangs and is still in the original set! The topknot is original with the original band. The bottom hard curl has softened up over the years but retains most of it's shape and the bottom band has been replaced to hold the style.Barbie's body is mostly a very even tan! She's retained most of her color aside from a spot I saw on the back of leg (see photo) I did not notice any other striking differences in her color. I believe both of the metal tubes are there but one looks like it's pushed up inside the leg.Barbie comes with her TM booklet, her number 1 black mules with holes in the soles, her iconic white sunglasses, hoop earrings original box, neck liner and a leaflet on bending the legs. The box has some shelf wear with some corner repairs and a couple of splits but it displays beautifully. DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT KNOW THE PROVENANCE OF THE NECK LINER OR THE LEAFLET. Vintage #1 Barbie Ponytail Original Paint and Hair with Box Beautiful Face +++
eBay For your consideration is a beautiful, number one, ponytail Barbie. One owner, who keep this doll in a cedar chest all these years. Her face is one of the most beautiful that I have ever, still retaining all of it's original paint, even on her cheeks! Her hair is in it's original set and looks like the original rubber band. The only flaw that I can see is some discoloration on her feet where she had on shoes. It may come off but I ain't gonna touch it! Both of the metal shafts are present on the holes in her feet but one is shoved up into the hole, please see photos. All paint is present on her nails and toes. All limbs are tight and move well. Her torso even retains some of the original flesh color! Such nice clear crisp markings on her butt and foot. Comes with her original swimsuit and box. Box has one end missing and the other end has splits on the corners, please see photos. Also included are the coat and sheath dress for Evening Splendor. She had on this bra but I am not familiar enough with Barbie to know if it is a Barbie bra or not. It fits perfectly. Also one brown shoe with the hole in it, it is not marked Japan. She is the holy grail of Barbie collecting. Her face paint is gorgeous! She has a few pin pricks on the side of her face, but they do not detract at all.Her ponytail has been retied and her hard curl restored. Her ponytail is thick; her bangs are a little thin but still ok. I do not see any missing plugs.Her body has faded to a very nice, pale color; not ghostly. She has no green ear, no foul odors, and the tubes in both feet are present. The tubes do not protrude like most do, so you can get her shoes on. Most tubes protrude beyond the foot which makes the shoes impossible to get on. Japan is written across the bottom of her right foot, she has a nice stance, and holds all poses well. The nail polish on her right hand is all original, the polish on her left hand has been touched up. The tips of her toes have had some repair, I'm not sure what because you cannot see any repair from the bottom. I almost did not notice that she had some repair to her toes.She will come with her original TM box which has seen better days. The top has taped ends and one side has been taped; the bottom is a reproduction. The shoes are nice, the booklet is perfect, the sunglasses have a broken arm (one is shorter than the other, but they still work fine), the swimsuit is a little loose on top. Rare Barbie #2 Brunette Ponytail Display Doll Silhouette Box Plantation Belle
eBay This is the rare Barbie #2 brunette ponytail display doll silhouette box plantation belle. This item is sold in used condition. In my opinion, it is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The item has wear / dirt on them, see pics. The bottom box has split on side and bottom inside/outside edge split. Both have tape on it. The top box lid has 3 corner / edge splits with tape on it. The doll front waist and back, arms have discolor from wearing dress. The left arm has small plastic pc sticking up near elbow. Rough plastic feeling on doll arm in that area, see pics. The arms and legs move up and down fine, but you must take it slow on the legs. They have not been used for long time, and are very stiff to move. The left leg is a harder to move, than the right. The doll right ear has something sticky? on ear, behind it, on hair, see pic. The left ear hole is ripped a little, see pic. The toes/ foot area have a little discolor on front and back, see pics. The dress is tagged, barbie r. The stand is marked tm, and on back marked Japan and Mattel International r, see pic. The necklace is broken. The earring is missing color on round part, see last pic. The white skirt is dirty around waist section. The barbie doll is marked tm. The tm is worn, have to see it on angle closeup. The store display box label says #866 plantation belle. Then under it #966, see pics. Some pics with flash made items brighter, but showed more detail. The doll is not bright white that some pics show. Pic #1 is a close match in color. This auction has only been running for two hours and three different eBayers have contacted me about adding a buy it now price. I would consider doing that, just send me your best offer. But… once there is a bid on this Barbie, I will not make any changes or sell it with a best offer. This is a gorgeous Barbie that is a rare No. 2 with the raised eyebrows and is a hard to find brunette.I have photos of her foot which is marked Japan and her bottom cheeks are also pictured. I dressed her in one of her favorite outfits, and after dressing her, I found her original swimsuit, pamphlet and sunglasses and white shoes. One shoe has a hole in the bottom and the other is marked Japan. She has her original earrings as well and I see no green around her ears. She has a lovely face that has sweet cheek color and red lips. I see white in the iris of her eyes. Her torso color is rather pink, and her legs are a little whiter and one leg seems to have just the very slightest green tint. The only thing I can find wrong, see last photo, is a little roughness on her toes on one foot. I see no other damage. This was owned by one little girl who took such good care of her doll clothes and Barbies, and recently sold me the lot of her loved Barbies. I will also be running Midge and Ken soon. I have many outfits that I am putting together to run on eBay as well. She will come in her original box which is in good condition. There are two smudges, see photos and one puncture mark on the brown coat, also photographed. The pamphlet has a few smudges and a crease on the back. The outfits that she had, she put a check mark by in the booklet. I will try to answer any questions that you may have. Extraordinary vintage Mattel 1965 Side-Part American Girl Barbie doll, ash blonde, with original swimsuit, turquoise Japan heels, catalog, box and gold wire stand, as well as an unattached original Mattel wrist tag that she would have come with. She has obviously never been played with, as her original factory set hair is untouched, her makeup and polish on fingernails and toes is original and untouched, and her hair string is still intact. She has the very rare green hair band, the mostly American version coarse hair texture and shorter bangs, as well as the frosty cheek and lip color. Her body and head are both in near mint condition; she has 2 small spots of light green on her left upper arm. Her limbs are all tight, and no swinging occurs. She has no earring holes, no green ear, of course, no neck splits, nose nips, chew marks, or damage. Both knees click 3 times but hold a pose at 2 clicks. Her swimsuit is in good condition. I have a vintage 1959 original #2 brunette ponytail Barbie doll up for auction. She has a heavy solid body, faded almost white. She has arched eyebrows and white irises, only seen on the #1 and #2 dolls. She is a #2 so she has no holes in her feet. While not mint, she is in very good to excellent condition.The doll has no missing fingers or toes and no swingy arms or legs. Her face paint is very good. Her brunette hair is in a ponytail with original poodle curl bangs and no missing plugs. The top and bottom rubber bands on the ponytail are present, so they must have been replaced. Barbie’s head, torso and limbs are faded to the same shade. She has red nails, in very good condition. She has been stored in a smoke free home.She is 65 years old, has been displayed in clothes for years, and is not perfect. She has a small pin dot size dark mark on her upper back, near the neck, and a small (1/4 inch long) cut on the backside of her right upper arm (see photos). Some small pieces of hair appear broken off (see photos). She has light mold marks on the hips (see photo). Her color is somewhat uneven, maybe stains from clothes or exposure to sunlight. There are other minor marks and scuffs. Review the pictures carefully Barbie is marked on the right side hip: BARBIE TM PATS PEND MCMIVIII BY MATTEL INC.
