The shoes have splits and the hair is no longer in the factory ponytail. The box has 2 corner splits and has some fading, box bottom has writing on it. The dress has a loose strap and a snap that is coming unstitched.Doll fingernail polish is very nice and 100% original.The facial paint is also near mint and 100% original.Very nice rare Barbie that would be a welcome addition to any collection. I am offering this rare and highly sought after #2 Vintage Brunette Ponytail Barbie from 1959 for sale. This is my doll which was given to me by my grandmother when I was 6 years old. She taught me to take very good care of her. I tried to do that. My husband has recently passed away and I am faced with financial challenges. I am hoping someone will give this gorgeous well persevered Barbie a home. Please look at all the pictures to show you how she has held up throughout the years. Her ponytail was reset. Her makeup is original. Her eye lashes have minor wear. There is minor fading on her lips. Her left arm has tooth marks from me when I was 6. Well this lovely lady has been with me for quite some time. Sadly, I am parting with her to buy new furniture. This doll was purchased from the estate of childhood owner and came dressed in Gay Parisienne! I sold the outfit and kept the doll. Anyway She is ALL ORIGINAL WITH NO RETOUCH! This is how she was purchased. She wears her original zebra SS. No missing hair. Hair is uncut. Hair is original topknot but it’s loose. Bottom rubber band remnant remains. She has safe replacement earrings. No missing fingers. Rods still in legs. See holes in feet. No stand or box. You are bidding on a lovely doll that was hidden away since the 1960’s in original condition - how sweet is that? Her body is stained - see photos. It is minor IMO but you decide.
