Beautiful Vintage #1 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner OG Stand & Collection!
RARE FIND! Number One Blonde Ponytail Barbie with the Original Early Fashions, Pronged TM Mattel #1 Stand Accessories and Case Little nine year old Alice received the first issue Barbie teenage fashion doll for Christmas in 1959. Mattel’s Barbie had just made her debut at the International Toy show in New York. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special number one Barbie with the original “one owner” childhood collection. It includes many early fashions, complete with the jewelry and accessories This Ponytail Barbie is stunning with her cute upturned nose and signature ponytail. She has dramatic lightning shaped eyebrows and handpainted makeup ; blue side glancing eyes, blue eyeliner, smoky eye shadow, coral red lips, red fingernails and toenails. She’s truly stunning and in remarkable condition for being 64 years old. She is 99% original and retains most of her original factory characteristics This number one blonde ponytail has the extended hairline, which is different from the number threes and later dolls. She is very unusual and rare in that she has two distinctly different hairlines from left to right. Her right side is curved and differs from the straighter hairline on the left. She is wearing her original hairstyle set with the top knot and hard curl at the bottom. The ponytail has been retied with matching colored thread as the band was shot. Her hair is uncut and she has no missing plugs. She has a flocked scalp, silky floss hair in baby chick yellow, full poodle bangs with well defined curls and a cute spit curl on her forehead. Her make up is excellent. as is the the nail and toenail polish. She has all of the correct markings on her bottom; Mattel Barbie TM, 1958 in Roman numerals, pat pending and the number 65. She is marked Japan on the bottom of one foot. Her limbs are nice and tight, but she is able to hold any pose. Her neck moves freely, and there are no issues. She has beautiful and even creamy, pale pinkish ivory body color which is amazing as I e usually sees a in e sort of fading . She has beautiful straight legs with the desired daylight shown only between the thigh and knee , and knee and ankle…A sign of classical beauty with models. She has holes in each of her feet with the original copper tubes present. And she even has her original Mattel TM two prong stand which is very valuable! She has had very minor work done.. a professional restoration to her right pinky and a little touch up to her eyelash ridges. There was also one teeny pinpoint freckle on her left leg just below the knee that has been touched up to match the body color . If you look closely at the photos, you will see how gorgeous this doll is. I have not seen one in original condition that is this outstanding. Barbie has a boyfriend , Ken, who will be listed in a separate listing. Blonde Barbie comes with her original iconic black and white swimsuit, white cat, eyeglasses, black, OT mules with holes. Thankfully her feet do not have any of the staining that is typical with these Barbies. She also has her original gold bangle, hoop earrings! One hole per ear and no green ear! How perfect is this girl?! She is FABULOUS! It was so fun to find Barbie in her original little nest with all the fun boxes and precious accessories that Alice had lovingly kept and preserved. You can tell that this Barbie was truly loved and treasured. Alice did not let other children touch or play with her doll :-)*** This collection would not be complete without a photo of little Alice in December of 1959 around the time that she received this Barbie for Christmas. The photo is included here and a printed copy along with the original provenance of this doll will come with the collection upon request Barbie will come with her original white Ponytail case , dated 1961. Gorgeous Mattel #3 Ponytail Barbie doll in Pony Tail box with an early liner, original round pedestal and wire stand, ponytail catalog that DOES NOT include the Gay Parisienne and Easter Parade outfits in it, silver/gold tone hoop earrings, white glasses, black Japan mules and striped swimsuit. She is in very nice condition. Her lip color is bright red but has some rub. Her eyebrows and blush are vibrant and original. She has brown eyeliner. Her eyelid ridges were touched up with acrylic. She has no neck splits, nose nips or chew marks. Her legs curve slightly at the calf. Her fingernail polish has some fade and her toenail polish is mostly rubbed off. Her foot has the Japan marking. Gorgeous American Girl Side Part Ash Blonde Barbie Doll wearing her original swimming suit and turquoise mule shoes. I have been enjoying this beautiful doll in my collection but am parting with her since I am in need of money for my fam. She is so pretty with nude lips and her beautiful original hair in its side part style. It's such a pretty ashy blonde. The headband and string have been replaced. She has all her original face paint with just a minor touch up to her eyeliner with artist's acrylic and sealer and a touch of pastel blush. She has earring holes but no green ear and no neck splits. There's one little extra hole on her left ear. Her body is in lovely condition. She has the all raised markings on her bottom. Both her legs click 3 times and hold their poses. No loose limbs or bite marks. She has a few little bluish spots- one on her right ankle and one on her left back shoulder. She has all her original coral finger nail polish with little to no rubbing. Both her legs click 3 times and hold their poses on the 3rd click. Her legs/hips are quite tight. She is wearing her original striped swimming suit. I repaired a thin spot in the front of the turquoise bottom with invisible thread. It looks a little "rumpled" there. She is also wearing her turquoise mule heels. Stunning vintage #3 Ponytail Barbie, blonde with brown eyeliner, wearing original #916 Mattel Barbie Commuter Set, complete. Doll is in excellent condition; she hasn't faded and is a light caramel color evenly from head to toe. Her lipstick has faded to a dark orange, her fingernail polish is still mostly intact, but her toenail polish is hit and miss. She has some slight dye transfer on her feet. She has only immediate green around the earring holes, but it has not spread. Hair is thick and lovely. I did touch up her eyelid ridges with acrylic. Her limbs are very nice and tight. Very Special! 1960 #3 Brunette Ponytail Barbie with gown, box, mic + 1994 repro
eBay My mom collected Barbie dolls since they first came out and this was the prized possession of her collection. This is a brunette No. 3 Barbie from 1960. Model #850. She has blue eyes, brown eyeliner and red lips. Also, red polish on fingernails and toenails. She has original gold hoop earrings, and her ears are in great condition (no green around holes). She wears the 1960 Solo in the Spotlight original black gown with tulle and red rose. She has her original pink chiffon scarf and long black gloves (there is also one extra black glove I'm including) and a plastic silver microphone. She also comes with a pair of original white sunglasses with blue lens and black, open-toed high heels (which have separated in the front – see photo). Her face, arms and feet are perfect. Her body smells like crayon and faded to an ivory color. Her beautiful, soft, shiny hair features poodle curl bangs and a ponytail, which seems to be original. Her hair may need re-styling. This doll was displayed but not played with (see photos). She has a small crack on her torso near her right hip (see photo). And a crack at the front of her neck and head is glued to her body (see photo). My mom put a black ribbon around her neck, which covers the crack and looks stylish. She also comes with a beaded necklace (not sure if this is original or not). Her body markings are: Barbie Pats.Pend. (c)MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc. Her heal says Japan. The original box is in great shape with only one top corner separated. Box is dated 1959. The Barbie booklet is marked MCMLVIII (1958). She also comes with a white metal doll stand. In this lot I'm also including the 1990 Barbie trading card for the 1960 Solo in the Spotlight doll, the card is in perfect condition. And, included is a 1994 Special Edition Reproduction of this 1960 Solo in the Spotlight doll and outfit. The box is slightly crushed, but the doll has not been removed from the box and is in perfect condition. My mom loved her dolls and I’m hoping to find a new owner that will love this one too. I'm not a Barbie expert but I have tried to be thorough with the photos and description. Please look closely at the photos and ask if you have any questions. The hair has never been combed, and they have full straight lashes, clean bodies with no splits or green, no earring holes, and they have fingernail and toe nail polish, the Standard is a 1969 doll her face is a tad darker, but not yellow, her hair is thick and long silky silver blonde with platinum and ash blonde streaks.

Vintage 1960s Mattel Ponytail Barbie #3/4 Transitional Doll in #972 Wedding Day Set Blonde Ponytail Barbie #3/4 Transitional Doll: For your consideration is a vintage and original Ponytail Barbie doll marked, "Barbie™ Pats. Pend. © MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc" on her bottom and "JAPAN" on her right foot. She has an earring hole in each ear, and there is a dark around the earring hole, but it does not appear that she has green ear. Her earrings were removed; however, they will be included with this doll. Barbie does not have any neck splits or nose nips. Her makeup is still bright with only minor fading/rubs to her upper lip, eyelashes, and eyebrows. Barbie has a flocked head and soft, thick long hair in a top knot ponytail. All her limbs are tight. Her red nail and toe polish is intact with only some chipping on the ends. The tulle overlay bodice with long sleeves and double tier skirt with a train still has the silver glitter accents throughout. There are no stains, rips or tears unless there is not supposed to be a "v" at the neckline. The tulle veil and tricot gloves are whiter in color compared to the wedding gown. Barbie is wearing a light blue garter with flower accents on her left thigh and is holding a flower bouquet with lace and ribbon trim. Her white open toe shoes have a split on top of the left shoe that is marked "Japan."
