Vintage 1960 #3 Barbie Doll Collection Ken, Midge, Fashion Queen, Clothes, Acces
U.S. Sales OnlyThis wonderful collection was purchased by me in 1980 at an estate sale in a small town in rural Missouri. I have kept the pieces together since then, but now it's time to let it go.Everything is vintage original - no reproductions Lot includes 1960 #3 blonde ponytail Barbie doll, brunette 1961 #1 flocked Ken doll, the first 1963 Midge doll and a 1963 Fashion Queen Barbie with her three wigs, numerous outfits and accessories that have had very little, if any, play, and the majority of which are in clean, crispy near mint to mint condition. Also included are three fashion booklets, numerous plastic hangers, 2 vinyl cases and the four doll stands Description notes:1960 #3 Barbie has the harder to find blue eyeliner. The tip of her right brow was light and has been lightly touched up. She has a tiny scuff on the bridge of her nose (see photo #14), not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. There is a small brown spot in the vinyl on her left upper torso below the arm (see photo #16). Her legs have paled just a bit over the years but have never been replaced or exchanged. Her blonde ponytail is long, soft and full with no trims or missing plugs. All limbs are tight. No green or neck splits. Original b/w swimsuit, glasses and shoes.1961 1st Ken doll, nm, with flocked brunette hair. No rubs on his flocking. Original swim suit and sandals.1963 1st early Brunette Midge doll, nm. Has the googly eyes common to some of the earliest Midges, and a wide stance. The pink top of her original swimsuit is in fair condition with a run on the back and seam out around the bottom.1963 Fashion Queen Barbie nm with original turban and swimsuit. The teeth of the zipper on her swimsuit are off track and don't interlock, but the zipper goes up and down to connect at top and bottom.The two cases have average wear; tape has been added to the right side of the pink case.Numerous original Barbie and Ken clothing and accessories in crisp, clean, nm/mint condition. Most appear to have never been played with, and most outfits are complete or nearly so. Large numbers and variety of original shoes. Includes a few hard-to-find small pieces such as Ken's car keys, Ken's corsage in the plastic "case," Barbie's pearl drop necklace and her charm bracelet. From a non-smoking home. Large nostalgic late 50's / 60's Barbie and Ken Estate lot. 7 Dolls, **OVER 100 PIECES OF CLOTHING!!!** Multiple accessories, 4 Ponytail cases, ephemera. Dolls and cases are in the condition I purchased them in with the exception of wiping down the Ponytail cases. - Ken in Mexico (1963) Blue Eyes, Flocked Brunette Hair (patchy around the crown of the head.) Original paint on face, some light wear on eyebrows. Bottom of right foot stamped Japan. Light marks on tip of nose. Non-bending joints, Joints are mostly tight, arms are a touch loose. No bite marks on feet but possibly on hands, (not terrible, but some blemishes there.) - "Ken in Mexico" outfit looks complete, pants have little intact stirrups, has original black cowboy boots and paper insert. (There is also an insert for Barbie in Mexico but no doll or clothes found.) - Original Ken (1960) Bottom stamped Hawthorn CA USA. Painted on blonde hair shows some wear around the crown of the head. Face paint is original and looks great. No chew marks. Some discoloration on shoulders. Joints are loose, do not bend. - 1960s Brunette Bubblecut Barbie. Red lips and a sideways glance. All original paint on face, fingers and toes (some nails missing paint due to age.) No chew marks. Bottom of right foot stamped "Japan." There are two small cuts on the back of her right arm/hand. Her hair is full and thick with no flat spots. Joints are tight, no loose movements. - 1958 American Girl Doll, Titian (red) hair, sideways glance. Sadly, lots of green on the face of this one. Green has also gotten into the hair. Nice original paint on the fingers, none on the toes. No chew marks. Bendable knee joints, both function excellently. Holes in the bottom of the feet. Joints are tight, no loose movements. - 1960s Blonde Francie Doll. Pink Lips, blushing cheeks, light brown eyes, and beautifully full eyelashes! All original paint. No paint on fingers or toes. No chew marks. Bendable knee joints, both function excellently. Holes in the bottom of the feet. Hair is full and has no flat spots. Bottom stamped Made in Japan. Joints are tight, no loose movements. - 1960s Blonde Ponytail Barbie. Pink lips, blushing cheeks, brown eyes with painted lashes and cat eye makeup. Painted fingers and toes (some nails missing paint due to age.) All original paint. No chew marks. Bottom of right foot stamped "Japan." Ears are pierced but no jewlery installed. Hair is full and has no flat spots. Joints are tight, no loose movements. - 1960s Strawberry Blonde Midge. Wonderful paint on face, fingers, and toes! Vibrant pink lips, blue eyes, and freckles. No chew marks. Bottom of right foot stamped Japan. Hair is full and has no flat spots, curls are still very defined. Very little sign of play with this doll. Clothing and Accessories Ken Dolls - 23 Tops/Jackets - 16 Pairs Pants/Shorts - 9 Pairs Shoes - 5 Pairs Socks (+unmatched pairs) - 1 Pair Gloves - Several fun accessories - Baseball uniform, Football uniform, Navy Uniform, Campus Hero - Nearly all of the clothing has the original black and white "Ken" tag sewn in. The pieces without this tag may or may not be by Mattel. Very few affected in the Ken lot. Some holes in knit pieces and a few on other pieces, but overall fantastic condition. Barbie Dolls - 56 Pieces of clothing! Including tops, bottoms, dresses, skirts, suits, etc. More than half of the pieces include the original black and white 'Barbie' tag. The pieces without this tag may or may not be original Mattel merch, however most are excellent qualiy and condition. Some holes in the knit materials, and on a few others, but overall fantastic condition. - Some rare and EXCELLENT quality outfits in this lot. Large Vintage Barbie & Friends Lot Dolls Ricky Clothes Skipper Case C2
Here is a Barbie and friends lot. Lots are not inspected or described item by item and are in varying condition, we will try to mention anything that we see as we are listing this lot. If you have a question on a particular item let us know. The boy dolls are marked 1963 and are about 9" long, and the clothes in the bag with them have Ricky labels. The Skipper case has a doll marked 1967 Japan Mattel and another marked 1963 Mattel. They are 8 1/2". Some of the clothes have Skipper labels some no labels. Case is kind of grungy. Also includes three other dolls. The black one is marked 1966 Mattel made in Japan as is the one in the mod pants suit. No mark on the other doll. The yellow coat has a Barbie label, a couple other pieces have Hong Kong labels, some have some damage and one piece has a lot of spots on it and the outfit on the black doll has a tear at the waist line.Often we have similar listings so please check our other items! . There is one outfit Sweater Girl that has a gray skirt and orange knit top that comes with knitting bowl and scissors...see the picture, now, please note I have two of these outfits, one is shown on a close up picture so don't think you're getting three outfits, just two that are shown together and the one has a broken scissors and I included the broken off piece if someone is handy and wants to glue it but there is included a pair of scissors that are not broken as well. I am also including reproduction clothes hangers, a bag of Barbie shoes and a bag of Jewelry as you can see in the pictures. All Ken clothing in pictures as shown, some have doubles...Note Ken's bathrobe has slippers and even has the bar of soap!!!! Some of the Ken shoes may be reproductions, I don't know..there is a possibility you may run across a pair or pants or shirt that is not Mattel made as my mothers friend made some clothes for my dolls now and then but you will know this as it would not have the Ken tag..I think all the pieces are original Ken but can't remember after 60+ years. Please be aware that from years of storing some of the clothing have a very slight musty odor but only noticeable if you put it directly up to your nose, I would spray with a little fabreeze if anything or just put outside and air them out but I will leave that up to the buyer.ALL OF MY ITEMS ARE FROM A SMOKE FREE/ PET FREE/ CLEAN HOMEPlease note that I will be doing a video of this when shipped as proof of contents and shipment for my protection as well as yours in case of loss or damage. Here are two Barbie and one Midge dolls from the 1963/1964 period. A Barbie platinum bubble cut (stock 850), a Barbie brunette bubble cut, and a Midge with a blonde flip (stock 860). All three are in excellent condition, more photos can be requested from interested bidders. The Platinum Barbie and Midge are in original boxes, all three dolls have stands Approximately a dozen complete outfits and a few partial outfits are included, plus additional accessories as shown in the photographs. The outfits are Barbie-tagged items.This offer includes the doll and clothes carry case from 1963, double-sided and in good condition except for some residue from adhered labels on the reverse side as shown in the photo. We also include the Barbie Carry-All wallet in good condition but with one minor seam tear on the interior. All these items are contemporary with the dolls rather than being from later periods.
