eBay PLEASE NOTE: The item/s listed are considered used and or "played with" vintage items. The items have been stored in various conditions by the previous owners. I inspect all items, if I feel the item is "dirty" and or has heavy soiling, I clean the item (if it can be cleaned), shake the item and smell the item. If the item can not be cleaned and feels dirty to the touch, "soiling to the item" will be noted in the description. Nose sensitivities differ from person to person, the item/s may or may not have a faint musty smell due to age and storage. Items can be put in a container with a Downy Calm "Lavander & Vanilla Bean" dryer sheet (or the fragrance of your choice), this is what I personally recommend. The plastic items have been cleaned with rubbing alchohol, including dolls and cases. I DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT! _ DESCRIPTION: Vintage Barbie and Ken Sears Fabulous Formal Gift Set #1595 VHTF NEAR COMPLETE! BARBIE Barbie's body has been replaced with the "Talking Barbie" stamped "Hong Kong", it was released one year later. The torso, arms and legs are exactly the same, however the markings are different. © 1967 Mattel, Inc. U.S. & Foreign Pats. Pend. Hong Kong. Unfortunately the legs of the "Talking Barbie" from 1967 and 1968 tend to break. Barbie is mute. However, her string can be pulled. HAIR Gorgeous hair, multiple shades of blonde. All of her hair seems to be in place, her hair seems to be correct, in a braid, Talking Barbie dolls were sold with a braid as well as a ponytail with three ties. I added a clear rubberband to the top tie, the bottom rubberband is present but is dry and broken, the original ribbons are in place and have not been retied. FACE Her complexion is absolutely mint! Zero fading and zero darkening. Her face looks brand new! Zero rubs to her make up, unfortunately she is missing two eyelashes. Neither ear is pierced. Zero neckplits. TORSO Perfect torso. Free of scratches and melt marks. Very clean. Stamped MEXICO on her rear. ARMS Both arms are haven't been cleaned using a strong detergent removing the slick coating Each shoulder is semi stained. I do not recommend moving either arm due to the age. HANDS All fingers are intact with zero pin holes. Very clean. LEGS Barbie's legs are perfect. Absolutely zero flaws to the vinyl, both are stain free and function with three hard clicks. Zero pin holes. Unfortunately there are grey stains on each of Barbie's hips. Each leg is attached with the original mechanism, however, the left leg is not as tight. I do not recommend moving either leg. Unfortunately the legs of the "Talking Barbie" from 1967 and 1968 tend to break. FEET Perfect feet. All toes are present. Zero pin holes. DRESS Yellow Ruffled Lamé Gown - Excellent to near mint condition. The material is bright and clean, however the dress appears soiled in the photo's, which it is not. Please contact me for additional photo's. All threads are tightly woven with zero pulls and zero snags... The metallic silver threads have not lost their luster. Absolutely zero holes and zero repairs. The only visible flaw is the yellow polyester underskirt, faint wrinkles. SHOES I have paired Barbie's hot pink closed to heels with the "Fabulous Formal" gown. They are free of fading, chips and splits. Each have a straight heel. Both are stamped JAPAN. PURSE Barbie's gold dimple purse has been added to the set. It is in excellent condition. HANGER The pink filigree Barbie hanger is included. TALKING GOOD LOOKIN' KEN Talking Ken is mute, however, he is in nice displayable condition. Minor fading to his face. Zero hair rubs. Unfortunately his head was glued on, most likely due to a chip of plastic missing from the front of his neck. His pull string does not move and I would not recommend attempting. His arms, hands, legs and rear have surface marks. Both of his arms are functioning, as well as his legs. His rear is stamped MEXCIO. Ken is in good condition. DRESS SHIRT Near excellent condition. The material is bright and clean with all gold threading intact on the tie. The back button has been replaced, the loop is intact but is dried and stretched. VEST Excellent condition. The front of the vest is bright, bold and clean with all three original gold buttons intact and secure. Slight age discoloration to the back. All seams are intact; zero repairs. GOLD JACKET Near mint condition. The material is bright, bold and clean; non faded. Free of holes and stains. The jacket is free of repairs. The Ken label is secure with zero fraying. SLACKS The slacks included with the set are original, they are in excellent condition, bright and clean, one small rust dot can be found on the front right side of the slacks. The YKK zipper is functioning. Free of holes and repairs. WHITE SOCKS Ken's original socks are in excellent condition. Neither of the socks are stretched. One is slightly discolored. Free of holes. WHITE LOAFERS Both are in excellent condition. Each shoe reads Hong Kong on the inside. Free of stains. THE BOOKLET IS INCLUDED.
