eBay This is a very rare MABA Barbie. Mattel entered into an agreement with Bandai Co. Ltd. (of Japan). They named their company Ma-Ba, which is the first two letters of each companies name.They were made for the Japanese market and sold at P.B. stores (Pretty Bunny) during 1986 - 1988. She marked © MATTEL INC. 1966. MALAYSIA. More pictures are available. She is dressed in a two piece Kimono. Slight fraying of the white Kimono noted. She has a twist n turn (TNT) waist and movable head. Her face is in perfect condition. Her hair, as shown, her original rubber band has disintegrated. She comes as pictured with her clothing and original stand. Bottom of the stand it reads © ma-ba Corp. 1986 Made in Japan (Later stands have the 1988 date).
