Lot of Vintage One #3-#4 Barbie Two 1962 Midge Dolls and One 1961 Ken Doll
SOLD $460.00 Sold: Jan 18, 2024 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
eBay In this auction I am listing a very nice collection of Original 60’s Mattel Barbie Family Dolls. I will give a short bit of information about each doll. 1. Original #3 or #4? honey blonde saran haired Barbie. She is marked MCMLVIII on her right buttock and B 4 on her left. She has a V36 on inner right arm and is marked Japan on right foot. She is stiff legged and in very nice condition. All toes and fingers are accounted for and has red nail paint. There is a small missing paint spot on her red lips. Her hair appears very nice as does her entire body. No cracks, splits, nips or bad odors. She comes in original black and white swimsuit, black heels and white sunglasses with blue lenses, however left sunglasses ear stem is missing. This is a really nice doll from everything I see.2. Titan ginger haired Midge. This doll is marked B 4 on left buttock and Midge 1961 on right. She has numbers on both inner upper arms and both inner upper thighs. They are small and very hard to read. She is marked Japan on right foot. Midge has straight stiff arms and legs. She has a very small light ink mark on her lower left arm and a couple of even very much smaller ones on the back of her right thigh. Fingers and toes are all there and all have paint on nails. There are no nips, breaks or cracks I can find. Midge’s face paint, with brown eyeliner, is very good except for a small paint miss on lip. Her hair could probably use some good conditioning but is otherwise nice. She comes wearing her original orange and lime yellow 2 piece swimsuit.3. Dark brunette haired 1962 Midge. Very nice stiff straight armed and legged Mattel doll. She is marked Midge 1962 on right buttock and 5 on her left. Both upper inner arms are number and letter marked. Other then a small bit of paint fade on her right eyebrow and lip she is in very nice condition. All toes and fingers are here, with nail paint. No cracks, breaks, nips or bad odors. Midge’s hair is nice but some conditioning might be good. This doll comes dressed in only her original red swimsuit bottom.4. Original 1961(MCMLX) flocked dark blonde haired Ken doll. Ken is marked Japan on his right foot and I believe #5 on his left buttock. This doll is also stiff armed and legged with no breaks, cracks, nips, tears or bad odors. Kens hair is all there, very nice but could probably use a cleaning. Ken comes wearing his original red with white stripe swim trunks, yellow towel and 1 red cork sandal. This large lot comes with clothing and accessories from various Barbie collections including #939 Red Flare, #991 Registered Nurse, #962 Barbie Q, #954 Career Girl as well as a top and sweater that comes from #976 Sweater Girl. This last one however is mostly just a top and sweater hanging together by a bunch of holes. The only reason I included it was for it’s tag and for possible reuse of the buttons. Also there is one black velvet and white long sleeve Tressy doll dress. There are 3 red heels (2 right marked Japan) and one left unmarked, 3 white heels ( one right marked Japan) and 2 left unmarked, 1 yellow right heel marked Japan, 1 red cork Ken sandal and 2 fluffy blue Barbie slippers. There are 6 pink Barbie and Ken 1961 mini fashion book/pamphlets and 2 blue Barbie and Ken fashion Pamphlets. The baby blue double doll case is in amazing condition as well. There is one tiny tear in the bottom which I included a picture of. Otherwise, all graphics, handle and latch are nice. This collection has been very daunting for me to list as there is a lot and although I love 60’s dolls, Barbie’s are not really my forte. I have tried my best through research and general exploration of these items, to tell you what I can. Heaven knows I am no expert on these dolls...So please....look at all the pictures closely and contact me with Any questions. I will do my best to quickly and honestly answer. Please enjoy this auction! (Condition: Pre-Owned)
