This is my mother's Barbie and she is in excellent condition because my mother preferred math over dolls. She has Been in a box almost since she was originally purchased. The outfits were opened but never played with, they are like-new and complete, including the original cardboard in the chef's hat and the original cotton in the cups with original straws. All five booklets are present in good condition with no rips or marks. The box has some wear, including a crease in the left side, but there are no splits. The Barbie has her original hairstyle with the rubber band, though the band has split and her pony is flat from laying on it for decades. Her body extremities are chalky and her body feels solid. Thanks to some expert advice received, I know she is a #4. She does have green ear and her original pearl earrings have been removed but they are included. She does not have any splits at her neck/head and all of her paint looks immaculate. The only piece missing is the base of the pedestal stand: it got lost somewhere over the past 60-some years. This doll is all original and she has been in storage since the 1960s.
