To celebrate one of the most iconic fashion designers of our time, Mattel Inc. commissioned a production run of Barbie dolls that pay homage to Karl Lagerfeld. In 2014 999 dolls were produced which sold out in hours. The doll was originally going to be a more mass produced Gold Label but Karl insisted that it be produced in a limited quantity. She featured a completely new face sculpt made just for her, later dubbed the Karl Lagerfeld face. This face sculpt has since become that standard face sculpt for collector brand Barbie dolls. She now remains one of the most expensive and highly sought after collector Barbie dolls and has continuously gone up in value since Lagerfeld's death. Karl Lagerfeld Barbie is in brand new, never been touched, mint condition and is still sealed in the original tissue paper. Shipper box opened once to ensure doll and display case were inside then sealed back up. You'll be the first to rip off the tissue and touch the display case. Maintained in smoke-free, pet-free home.
