She is still sealed in her original box (tear in cello in front - see pics). Julia retains her black hair color with just a hit of red on the ends - over time most of these have oxidized to a complete red hair color. The Julia Barbie Doll was one of the first Celebrity Barbie Dolls. It was introduced in 1969. Julia was a hit TV show that ran from 1968 to 1971. Diahann Carroll played Julia Baker, a widowed single Mom and Registered Nurse. This was a ground breaking role because it was one of the first prime time shows to feature an African American woman in a non stereotypical role. Diahann Carroll won a Golden Globe for her role as Julia. Please see the photos for full condition details. I know that this makes the box a little heavier to ship which increases shipping costs by a small amount but it is worth it to have the item arrive without breaking. If it is a non-breakable item I can usually ship for a bit less and skip the shredded paper and just used newspaper. NOTE: Insurance is always included for the safety of your purchase.
