Up for sale in this listing is Platinum Label edition US Convention Barbie Fashion Model Collection Doll with stock # DKN08 and 2015 box date. She’s SO exclusive, in fact, her designer, Robert Best didn’t bother giving her a name during the A Pop Art Happening Convention during the summer of 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. This doll is pristine, DEAD MINT. The Silkstone ribbons were opened by me for the first time to photograph this enchanting beauty. While hardly anything Pop Art at all, nonetheless, as a BFMC Silkstone, she’s absolutely stunning with her platinum blond hair classically swept back and tied with a pale pink bow that matches its counterpart accenting the empire line of her two-toned gown. The gown is simple confection in white with a brilliant pink lace overlay focusing attention on a demure vee at the neckline and pleated wrap opening modestly tacked at the knee to avoid flashing the crowds. Her pale pink peep-toe pumps match the accent the bows. Long gloves complete the ensemble. Frosty pink lips, a hint of blusher, and silver glitter eyeshadow and heavy mascara focus all eyes on her light brown ones which coyly glance side-ways knowingly. There’s no extra frills or bling to distract from her, um, understated beauty, yeah, that’s it. The standard BFMC shoe box for the doll exhibit the only issues: a pair of small bends (looks like it was done during the factory folding as it does not cross the edge fold at all) along the lid edges, one on a long side, one on the topmost short side. There’s also what looks like a light scuff or color transfer of pink along the bottom edge of the lid. With all the pink at a Barbie Convention, who knows with what it may have come in contact (It’s probably removable with a regular or magic eraser, but I will leave that the next owner). The Uber-pickiest box collector might have an issue here, but in every other respect, it would be hard to find better than this. Our photos speak for themselves!
