Ooh la la! Here's beautiful vintage Color Magic Barbie, in her hardest to find variation, Ruby Red/Midnight Black! This exotic girl has high color, all original make-up, & her original swimsuit with ribbon belt! Her head scarf is a reproduction that looks quite good on her. She also comes with one of her color-changing dresses from the 1966 Color Magic Fashion Designer Set on a clear plastic dress form, with a Mod Era hanger, turquoise reproduction mules, in a clear plastic display box shown in pic #7. I love her American Girl face mold and her brilliant make-up. She has been gently played, and has some resulting hair breakage and hair thinning, so she is not for "Mint" collectors. But though she is not perfect, she still has beauty to spare! She is awe-inspiring in any of the Color Magic fashions, in fancy 1600 series outfits, or in Mod Era fashions that are ready for the discotheque! Please note that the Kaiser stand & small white box in pic #11 are not included in this auction. I accept returns, but only if the item is in the original condition, with no alterations or color changes.I will never describe anything as "Mint" unless I've just taken it out of the original package. I've collected vintage Barbie for 30+ years, and I scrutinize the items I sell on eBay; if I haven't addressed something important to you in my description, please ask me a question:). You may want to save me as a seller, as I am selling a large vintage Barbie collection on eBay.Barbie's make-up looks great; I don't see any fading or wear on her lips or brows. She has all original, bright, full raspberry lips, and some smokey eyeshadow. She also has lots of beautiful original blush still. She doesn't have any earring holes, nose nips, or neck splits. Her hair is in overall pretty smooth, but there is some dryness at the ends. She does have some hair breakage and loss along her front hairline, as this hair material is quite fragile; but with her hair in the original style, it's not terribly obvious. I don't see any missing hair plugs other than shown along the front hairline, see pic #13 , but her hair has thinned a bit from being played with. She has a dark-brown painted scalp underneath. Her hair could be parted a bit better for scalp coverage, but I didn't want to mess with it.She has a Excellent body, with her left knee bending back 3x and holding the pose; her right leg bends back 2x; it won't hold the 3rd bend. Her legs are tight at the hips, and not springy. She still has nice fingernail polish. No stains or poke marks. She has the 1958 Japan markings on her right butt cheek is raised lettering, see pic #21. I see 4 very faint blue specks around her left knee (on the right in the pics), but this is hard to see unless you look super closely. It doesn't show up in her body pics #22 & #23. Her original swimsuit looks very nice: it doesn't look like the original owner color changed it! It does have 2 little red spots on the front, I think maybe from the color change solution dripping off of her hair. She has her original turquoise ribbon belt, the reproduction head scarf, and some reproduction turquoise mules. The mules are unmarked on their bottoms, and they don't fit her feet very well. I've also added the Fashion Designer set dress; this dress has some damage on the back left shoulder area, but it displays well from the front. I think the shoulder area could be repaired fairly easily. The dress is pretty clean & the zipper works.
