Barbie #1 Ponytail- Fabulous . SPECIAL OFFER
This is the One and Only Iconic #1 Ponytail Barbie, “born” on March 9, 1959. She is fabulous with a soft blonde ponytail that looks like it has the original tie.The curl at bottom of the ponytail has been cinched into a tight curl, held in place with some small amount of product. (See pictures.)Her bangs have what appears to be two rows of tiny original curls,No nose nips or neck splits. No strange smells. No spots or marks.Her torso and arms enjoy uniformly peach tones. No fading of the ivory skin color, of her torso. Her face is a tiny bit paler, hardly noticeable.As with most of the earliest Barbies, she has a faded, light reddish gray stain across the tops of her feet from wearing her early black heels for 60 years.Her lip paint is perfect, no rubs.She also has a wonderful, hard-to-find “nipple” body.She also has the metal rods in her feet. VINTAGE BRUNETTE BARBIE #3 DOLL in VINTAGE GAY PARISIENNE #964 COMPLETE *RARE* VINTAGE BRUNETTE BARBIE #3 DOLL in VINTAGE GAY PARISIENNE #964 COMPLETE *RARE* Description Vintage Brunette Barbie #3 in Original Gay Parisienne #964 Vintage #3 Brunette Barbie Doll from 1960 wearing one of the hardest to find collectible outfits from 1959 - she is ready for her night out in Paris! The Vintage Barbie Gaye Parisienne #964 ensemble was released in 1959. Vintage Barbie Gay Parisienne combined couture design with elegant accessories to create one of the most successful designs of 1959. The dress is a deep blue rayon taffeta bubble dress and is in minty comdition. Same fabric bows trimmed in white adorn the hem in front and the top of the zipper closing in the back. The hat is a matching blue tulle veiled headband. The white satin lined faux fur stole is in great condition. The small gold velvet clutch has a gold bead closure and is lined in white satin. The white gloves, pearl necklace and gold hoop earrings complete the ensemble. This vintage ensemble is rare and hard to find, as it was only produced in 1959. Barbie is also in Excellent condition - she is the #3 Ponytail Barbie but her face has been painted to resemble a #1/#2 Barbie - she has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. Her hair is still in the original ponytail but her bangs are not good and have been styled to match the Paris outfit she is wearing - she still has a curl at the bottom of the ponytail. She has no green ear but holes for earrings are a bit darker. She has green dot on the back of the neck from the necklace clasp and a few indents around the front of her neck where the necklace has been sitting for so long - see pics. Her makeup is nice and bright! Overall this is a Gorgeous doll and she is ready to be a show stopper in your vintage Barbie display. This is a vintage 1958 Mattel "Ponytail Barbie " Doll with a zebra swimsuit (just like in the movie!).It is a highly collectible item for any Barbie enthusiast. The doll stands at 11 inches in height, has stunning blue eyes and used to have curly blonde/reddish bangs and straight hair in pony tail (now the hair looks like barbie has bed-head). It belongs to the product line of "Ponytail Barbie". This doll has red lipstick and red painted fingernails and toes. However the paint on the toes is very faded and she is missing the little finger on her right hand. Barbie Sears Exclusive Genuine Mink, Tagged, 1964-1965, from Original Owner
This is the ultimate Barbie collectible, the original Exclusive Sears Mink which sold for only one year (1964-1965). I am the original owner. My mother bought this for me when I was a young girl, but she wouldn't let me take it out of the house because it was so expensive. It was very gently used and is in great shape for its age, as I lovingly took care of my Barbies. It was kept in a case all these years. I don't know much about fur, but I do not see any stains or spots or wear on the outside. The photos do not do it justice, it is a nice piece. No odors. The original hook and eye closure are still attached. The silk lining is wrinkled with age, and there is a small spot where it appears the eye was pressing against and discolored the lining (see photos 5 & 11). From what we've been able to discern, the only difference in the actual dolls is an occasional side part - otherwise the dolls and the outfits themselves are standard bubble-cuts or ponytails (mostly always bubble cuts) that could be purchased in the United States. Note that being boxed with earrings, it's difficult to find them without some amount of green ear. The stand, booklet, and boxes have unique characteristics to them. The boxes themselves are standard US sold boxes with an English copyright. The box bottoms will a tariff stamp sticker on the bottom end panel inside edge. The box top will have bottom end panel stickers - a Japanese 10 digit stock number and the outfit stock number that matches the outfit number sold on window cards in the U.S. To date, we have found no difference in the outfits themselves. Note that we've never seen a box without some mold staining issues - our theory for the cause is the Japan sea climate - it seems to be an impossible thing to avoid. The dolls often included a Japan market exclusive booklet (with a Japanese girl playing with her Barbies on the cover). The earliest of these boxes included round #3 style, 2 piece stands with Japan exclusive gold lettering. Later issues would have a standard gold stand. Unknown vintage barbie dolls 1960s? Antique Barbie Mattel #3 ? Japan
The product is an antique Barbie doll manufactured by Mattel in the 1960s. This vintage Barbie might be a #3 but I do not know. There is no marking on the back or neck. The foot has Japan marked underneath the foot. The only other markings are on the butt of the doll which you can see in the pictures. The doll features straight, light-colored hair, blue eyes, and a light complexion. I believe this is an original Barbie doll from the 1960s, making it a desirable collectible for Barbie enthusiasts and vintage toy collectors. I could not find any other barbies like it so if you have insight as to the year and series number or name of the barbie that would be nice to share.Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions. Vintage Barbie Roman Holiday #968 Mattel 1959 Original Plus Barbie Doll (#4?)
This is a collectible and vintage Barbie doll, with clothing and accessories from the Roman Holiday collection. This is an extremely rare and hard to find set that includes all the pieces except the original compact (included is a replica), and the earrings. The jacket lining is torn at the inside sleeves as shown in the photos but the outside displays beautifully.The doll is an original Mattel Barbie. I’m not sure what number she is but her body has faded to a lovely pale ivory. She has two flaws; green ear (which was treated and doesn’t show when she wears earrings) and a dark mark on her back that appears to be a zipper mark. Her bottom is marked 15 on the left and Barbie MCMLVIII By Mattel Inc. on the right. Vintage Brazilian Market Estrela BARBIE RARE!
eBay I know absolutely nothing about Barbies but I think this might be somewhat vintage, and it seems these Brazilian ones could be quite collectible. As you can see, the box is tattered and the doll and accessories are a bit dusty. But it does not look like it was ever removed from the packaging. I hope this is of interest to some of you collectors out there International shipping through Ebay Global shipping service only. I do not know what their charges are but they are a reliable service.
