This is an original rare vintage 1959 issue #1 Ponytail Barbie doll with beautiful brunette hair, holes in feet, and original paint. I can personally attest to its originality as it was given to my sister in 1959. It does not have the original package, but comes with a 1960 Barbie Midg wardrobe case and accessories. Some of the clothing is original but it also includes custom made pieces sewn by my mom who was a professional seamstress. This doll is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike, and is a must-have for any serious Barbie collector. The doll is in excellent condition, with no modifications made. It has been well-preserved over the years and has maintained its original charm and beauty. This Barbie doll is a true vintage gem and would make a perfect addition to any collection. Vintage Barbie # 2 Brunette Doll in Original Box, Swimsuit Sunglasses & More
This auction has only been running for two hours and three different eBayers have contacted me about adding a buy it now price. I would consider doing that, just send me your best offer. But… once there is a bid on this Barbie, I will not make any changes or sell it with a best offer. This is a gorgeous Barbie that is a rare No. 2 with the raised eyebrows and is a hard to find brunette.I have photos of her foot which is marked Japan and her bottom cheeks are also pictured. I dressed her in one of her favorite outfits, and after dressing her, I found her original swimsuit, pamphlet and sunglasses and white shoes. One shoe has a hole in the bottom and the other is marked Japan. She has her original earrings as well and I see no green around her ears. She has a lovely face that has sweet cheek color and red lips. I see white in the iris of her eyes. Her torso color is rather pink, and her legs are a little whiter and one leg seems to have just the very slightest green tint. The only thing I can find wrong, see last photo, is a little roughness on her toes on one foot. I see no other damage. This was owned by one little girl who took such good care of her doll clothes and Barbies, and recently sold me the lot of her loved Barbies. I will also be running Midge and Ken soon. I have many outfits that I am putting together to run on eBay as well. She will come in her original box which is in good condition. There are two smudges, see photos and one puncture mark on the brown coat, also photographed. The pamphlet has a few smudges and a crease on the back. The outfits that she had, she put a check mark by in the booklet. I will try to answer any questions that you may have. Vintage 1960s Barbie doll Midge - extra head freckles blue eyes brunette red
1960s barbie doll marked Midge and Barbie, and also "Japan" on the bottom of the foot. The doll has brunette or black hair, ponytail style, blue eyeshadow, pearl earrings, straight legs, red painted toenails and fingernails, red lips and is in great condition. The case I bought this with also had a Midge head, freckles, strawberry blonde or reddish blonde hair. Also in nice condition, with blue eyes. Vintage lot of 4 Mattel Bubblecut Barbie dolls and 1 factory braided #6/7 Ponytail Barbie (bottom hair band replaced) with original swimsuit, Japan heels, catalog, wire stand, box and reproduction earrings. All are free of green ear, nose nips, neck splits and chew marks. All are on Midge bodies. One blonde is in an ash blonde box, but her hair is lighter than ash blonde. Very nice group of gals. BARBIE SIDE PART AMERICAN GIRL BRUNETTE TONS OF HAIR in COLOR MAGIC FASHION L@@K
As always, please consider my pictures they are part of my description. I do try to take lots of pictures. Highly close up, macro settings. RARE Barbie Brunette Side Part doll. She comes on a Barbie Midge straight leg body, rather than the traditional bendable leg body. She has LOTS of hair, I did wash gently, and because of the body and the hair I did do a lot of research on this one, according to the books Jean Burger is credited for designing the Side Part Barbie. They required so much more time to root this style. And a few dolls with more densely rooted hair that curls and turns all around have been found in JAPAN and USA. When I "styled" her hair it drove me crazy that it did just that, it curls up if you want, or turns under. Now to her condition, the pictures show that her eyelids need, could use a touch up. I do NOT touch up any of my dolls, afraid. I know it can be done. Her lips are nice pouty pink. I do see a tiny tiny white fleck inside her lip. I actually added some super macro pictures, and they should show possibly the one on the inside is missing paint, and then there is a tiny one on her lower lip. Both look t me like they could have happened while making the doll. Just like someone was in a hurry? Not like someone did that while playing with doll. Her body and face match in skin tone, light, and evenly flesh toned. Hard to see but I noticed some superficial minor scratches on lower leg. Her body and limbs are nice and tight. She has NO GREEN, NO NECK SPLITS, and I do see earring holes, in one picture maybe 2 or 3? She never had nail polish on her toes and only some remains on hands. I did add some green HONG KONG mules to her outfit and noticed that only those very early shoes fit her. Her one foot, in my opinion, is just a tiny bit maybe one millimeter shorter than the other. ???!!! I suspect she might just be one of those '" TRANSITIONAL " Barbies, since Mattel never threw any parts away, you decide, ask away. Please. Her outfit is the original color magic blouse and skirt, in nice but a bit faded, condition, all snaps work fine. I am including the pants, but they are also a bit faded, and are discolored in some area. Fit so well. Shoes fit her perfectly. Almost forgot, she had a yellow and green headband originally, it was in very old shape, I cleaned it and salvaged what I could, tied together, that's what you see in pictures. Vintage Barbie Ponytail Lot! & More
After receiving questions in regards to the larger lot of 50 dolls, I have decided to break up into 4 varied lots and add outfits. 3 lots already sold. I am open to a reasonable offer, bearing in mind 2 of the other lots brought this amount. This lot has 10 dolls and includes ponytails, bubblecuts, Midge and a platinum TNT. Most were from the JoAnn Winspur museum collection and a few from my daughters personal storage. I added 2 newer dolls as I took a couple out due to the green ear. The removed dolls will be in a grouping later this month with the final outfits. This lot includes lovely and mostly complete outfits, ranging from good to near mint. The Ags are both fantastic, lovely feet and legs. Super tidy hair, just great dolls. Legs bend nicely. The Brunette has a very slight wobble to one hip.The ponytails are all very nice especiallythe #4 Brunette. A truly stunning doll. The #5 is amazing with very large lips. The TNT is an htf platinum, amazing hair, and a very good body. Just a few less lashes on one eye. The boxed platinum is excellent, with an original box, liner, stand, and appropriately marked platinum. Original hairset, clip, and ribbon. The fashion Editor outfit is NM. The T.M peachy fleecy has the feather and #1 heels, It is NM. The sweet dreams outfit heels have the pom poms, plus excellent elastic in the shorts. The satin Rose has amazing glitter heels. Just a great range of outfits. All of the outfits have shoes. Most are complete. Some are at least 90 percent. No visible green ear, nose nip, neck splits, or missing digits that I can see. I have not undressed the dolls, but I can see any obvious flaws, such as those mentioned. I have no long history on these dolls. I purchased the entire collection in 2020 and only recently discovered these ones when I moved back to Fl. My daughter had some totes in storage for me. There are 10 excellent dolls and 19 outfits, including what they are wearing. I have priced the lot at $2850 it represents 240 per doll x 10= $2400 including the outfit the doll is wearing, It makes midge seem a little pricey, however it makes the platinum ponytail a great bargain, they sell for upwards of $500 in such beautiful shape. The Ags are also a bargain, especially in such great outfits. In addition it will be $45 each for the extra 10 outfits picture. This equals $450 I will cover the shipping in the US. Vintage 1960 #3 Barbie Doll Collection Ken, Midge, Fashion Queen, Clothes, Acces
U.S. Sales OnlyThis wonderful collection was purchased by me in 1980 at an estate sale in a small town in rural Missouri. I have kept the pieces together since then, but now it's time to let it go.Everything is vintage original - no reproductions Lot includes 1960 #3 blonde ponytail Barbie doll, brunette 1961 #1 flocked Ken doll, the first 1963 Midge doll and a 1963 Fashion Queen Barbie with her three wigs, numerous outfits and accessories that have had very little, if any, play, and the majority of which are in clean, crispy near mint to mint condition. Also included are three fashion booklets, numerous plastic hangers, 2 vinyl cases and the four doll stands Description notes:1960 #3 Barbie has the harder to find blue eyeliner. The tip of her right brow was light and has been lightly touched up. She has a tiny scuff on the bridge of her nose (see photo #14), not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. There is a small brown spot in the vinyl on her left upper torso below the arm (see photo #16). Her legs have paled just a bit over the years but have never been replaced or exchanged. Her blonde ponytail is long, soft and full with no trims or missing plugs. All limbs are tight. No green or neck splits. Original b/w swimsuit, glasses and shoes.1961 1st Ken doll, nm, with flocked brunette hair. No rubs on his flocking. Original swim suit and sandals.1963 1st early Brunette Midge doll, nm. Has the googly eyes common to some of the earliest Midges, and a wide stance. The pink top of her original swimsuit is in fair condition with a run on the back and seam out around the bottom.1963 Fashion Queen Barbie nm with original turban and swimsuit. The teeth of the zipper on her swimsuit are off track and don't interlock, but the zipper goes up and down to connect at top and bottom.The two cases have average wear; tape has been added to the right side of the pink case.Numerous original Barbie and Ken clothing and accessories in crisp, clean, nm/mint condition. Most appear to have never been played with, and most outfits are complete or nearly so. Large numbers and variety of original shoes. Vintage Lot 1960s Barbie Dolls Plus Dozens of TM Black Label Clothing Ensembles
This is a Used Pre-owned Vintage Lot of Original 1960s Barbie dolls, TM black label clothing sets, double doll cases and other related Barbie items. Many of these early Barbie items are valuable and very collectible. Included are 6 early Barbie, Ken & Allan dolls, 25 Barbie ensembles and 13 Ken outfits. Items included are everything shown in the pictures, except stands. Original packaging is not included. The items in this lot are pre-owned, used, and gently played with They come from my personal collection and a non-smoking environment. Condition of most of the items included is good to excellent, though some may have slight flaws, such as loose threads. Most items contain original TM black tag labels. Some of the clothing sets are complete, and many are not - so please view pictures closely. The lot is sold in “As Is” condition. All sales are final. I will include extra insurance, as needed. 1964 RARE No. 1070 "MIDGE" BRUNETTE BUBBLE CUT "AMERICAN GIRL" w/ Bendable Legs
It's in very impressive condition for the age with very little wear on the box and Barbie has little to no wear as well. The box is very structurally sound and in excellent shape. The knee joints snap and the material is clean.

Large nostalgic late 50's / 60's Barbie and Ken Estate lot. 7 Dolls, **OVER 100 PIECES OF CLOTHING!!!** Multiple accessories, 4 Ponytail cases, ephemera. Dolls and cases are in the condition I purchased them in with the exception of wiping down the Ponytail cases. - Ken in Mexico (1963) Blue Eyes, Flocked Brunette Hair (patchy around the crown of the head.) Original paint on face, some light wear on eyebrows. Bottom of right foot stamped Japan. Light marks on tip of nose. Non-bending joints, Joints are mostly tight, arms are a touch loose. No bite marks on feet but possibly on hands, (not terrible, but some blemishes there.) - "Ken in Mexico" outfit looks complete, pants have little intact stirrups, has original black cowboy boots and paper insert. (There is also an insert for Barbie in Mexico but no doll or clothes found.) - Original Ken (1960) Bottom stamped Hawthorn CA USA. Painted on blonde hair shows some wear around the crown of the head. Face paint is original and looks great. No chew marks. Some discoloration on shoulders. Joints are loose, do not bend. - 1960s Brunette Bubblecut Barbie. Red lips and a sideways glance. All original paint on face, fingers and toes (some nails missing paint due to age.) No chew marks. Bottom of right foot stamped "Japan." There are two small cuts on the back of her right arm/hand. Her hair is full and thick with no flat spots. Joints are tight, no loose movements. - 1958 American Girl Doll, Titian (red) hair, sideways glance. Sadly, lots of green on the face of this one. All accessories are Mattel original products. 1 Barbie is 1962 Fashion Queen Barbie with 3 wigs, blonde, red, brunette. She is in fair condition due to some markings on her legs, arms, and ears. (Possible stain from clothing and earrings) Other doll is Midge. She is in fair condition due to green markings on her ears from earrings. Two mint condition Barbies: 1 with original swimsuit and box; The other bubblehead brunette. Also included are 2 Barbie carrying cases. 1 is a small case and 1 is larger with original Barbie clothing and accessories. There is also a full size armoire with a mirror and bench.
