This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of history with this 1959 vintage Mattel original No.1 Barbie, included with vintage clothing, accessory, and vinyl case lot. The set includes a single-owner No. 1 Blonde Barbie with metal tubes in feet. She is in excellent shape and comes with original vinyl case, accessories, and shoes.The doll is part of a one-owner collection and has been kept in spectacular condition. This Barbie is accompanied in a lot of original clothes and accessories. RARE 1959 Original Vintage #1 Brunette Ponytail Barbie with clothes, accesories
RARE 1959 Original Vintage #1 Brunette Ponytail Barbie Doll with clothes. This was my wife's 10th birthday present in 1959, and she has kept it lovingly ever since. This Barbie is in very good condition. She has the holes in her feet to hold her up in the included original stand (which has a cosmetic chip on the back side). The copyright marking is visible on her right buttock. Her right foot has the word JAPAN on the bottom.She has white irises and sharply arched eyebrows. All of her features are original. Her ponytail has never been taken down. This is the exact model shown on the Wikipedia page about the introduction of Barbie at the American International Toy Fair on March 9, 1959, Barbie's official birthday. See https: en wikipedia org wiki Barbie HistoryIncluded: Original zebra striped swimsuit, original gold hoop earrings, and original stand. Also included is the original issue of the Fashion Booklet. The front and back covers are detached, but present. Most of the included items of clothing are from the original catalog. In the order of the photos, they are: #963 Resort Set, #918 Cruise Stripe Dress, #912 Cotton Casual, #977 Silken Flame, #921 Floral Petticoat. The red plaid wool coat has a Barbie label from a later time. The shirt of the riding outfit is from #967 Picnic Set. The other pieces of that outfit are not labeled. The wedding dress with veil, the pioneer dress with bonnet and the cape with 2 piece dress were handmade by my wife for our daughters’ Barbies in the 1970s. Some of the shoes shown are original. Vintage barbie lot. I'll try to do my best to describe as I was starting to out things in plastic bags I decided to leave the rest for you. There are so many things that it's nearly impossible for me to figure out. Tons of clothing with very little wear /play but much wrinkled. Lots of shoes, and little books purses pantyhose dresses , little pieces of furnishings, plants , 3 different kinds of stuffed dogs A case with built in furniture as well a barbie doll . As I decided to put her in with this huge doll lot. This is definitely a great item to have for collectors tons of things not even shown it's probably going to feel like christmas sorting through all of the little pieces and clothes ect....some clothing don't have the barbie tag and the majority do. Five books with names of many other outfits which we have...for example, American Airlines Stewardess; Sheath Sensation; Solo in the Spotlight; Let's Dance; Cruise Striped Dress; Resort Set with tennis racket; Registered Nurse; Graduation Gown and Hat; Busy Gal; Cotton Casual; Friday Night Date; Basic Barbie Doll Fashion Model Set (the black and white striped swimsuit, two of those); After Five; Career Girl; Sweet Dreams; several mix and match; pajamas (2 pair) and a slip. Accessories: cooking (apple, Barbie tray, orange juice (2), spatula, spoon, rolling pin); soap; ten hats; nine purses; 31 hangers; 18 pairs of shoes, various colors; the pink phone; a Barbie design portfolio; as well as more accessories, stockings, tights; white and black gloves, long and short, 2 rabbit stoles, (one is missing a hook), 9 purses. The white box says TM Lic., by Mattel, Inc. 1961--there are two circles, mostly black; the larger black one with Solo on it (here in a brown dress, we have the black one), says R in a circle TM Lic., & C in a circle, by Mattel Inc. 1962. Condition is very good on most things, some things and clothes are like new, some have a few flaws like a stain but these can be washed, or as on the Enchanted Evening, i think shld be dry cleaned; but on the whole everything is in very good condition, see photos, everything is in there; all of this has been owned by one person since childhood. The doll is being sold together with all of the clothing items and accessories shown in the first photo. The doll is missing toes on the right foot. Bubble Barbie was issued 1961, set 850. There is some green discoloration where the earrings are. This doll has had one owner. VINTAGE BARBIE #3 PINK SILHOUETTE BOX #961 EVENING SPLENDOR DISPLAY DOLL *RARE* VINTAGE BARBIE #3 PINK SILHOUETTE BOX #961 EVENING SPLENDOR DISPLAY DOLL *RARE* Description Vintage Blonde Barbie #3 in Original Pink Silhouette Display Box dressed in her store display Evening Splendor Outfit Vintage Original #3 Blonde Barbie Doll from 1960 in her original Pink Silhouette Display box & wearing her best #961 Evening Splendor (Splendour) Complete Outfit. This is the very rare first Pink Silhouette box issued by Mattel! These doll sets were sold to stores to display their Barbie clothes. The Vintage Barbie Evening Splendour ensemble was released in 1959. A masterpiece was definitely created when the Golden Girl #911 sheath dress was issued with a matching coat. Made from the same gold and white brocade as the dress, the coat had three-quarter length sleeves trimmed in simulated fur. The coat was also tailored with a contrasting pale blue satin lining to further accessorize every detail. The outfit was topped off with a headband hat adorned with pearls and trimmed in the same brown fur as the coat and brown open toed heels. She also carried her aqua corduroy purse complete with Hanky and had on her best Pearl stud earrings and graduated pearl necklace to complete the outfit. The dress and coat are in near mint condition and they are the Barbie (R) version. The purse still has it's closure. The hanky is a bit yellowed as it was displayed in her hand all these years. Hat still has all of the pearls and is also in nm condition. Shoes are correctly marked. Barbie is all original - she is the rarer barbie that has the nipples - she has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. Her hair is still in the original ponytail but the lower rubber band has been replaced and the upper one is disintigrating - she has lost the curl at the bottom and hair is a bit flat from being in her box all these years! She has no green ear. Overall this is a gorgeous doll. She comes in her original Pink Silhoutte TM box. It has the Dressed doll sticker on the end. It is in overall excellent condition - it has clear tape at the top corners but otherwise nice and crisp and clean - see pics for overall view.
