Her lips have the red/orange appearance. Her hair is still in original set with a stabilizer rubber band to support the one that has deteriorated over the years. She is marked on her backside. BARBIE SIDE PART AMERICAN GIRL BRUNETTE TONS OF HAIR in COLOR MAGIC FASHION L@@K
As always, please consider my pictures they are part of my description. I do try to take lots of pictures. Highly close up, macro settings. RARE Barbie Brunette Side Part doll. She comes on a Barbie Midge straight leg body, rather than the traditional bendable leg body. She has LOTS of hair, I did wash gently, and because of the body and the hair I did do a lot of research on this one, according to the books Jean Burger is credited for designing the Side Part Barbie. They required so much more time to root this style. And a few dolls with more densely rooted hair that curls and turns all around have been found in JAPAN and USA. When I "styled" her hair it drove me crazy that it did just that, it curls up if you want, or turns under. Now to her condition, the pictures show that her eyelids need, could use a touch up. I do NOT touch up any of my dolls, afraid. I know it can be done. Her lips are nice pouty pink. I do see a tiny tiny white fleck inside her lip. I actually added some super macro pictures, and they should show possibly the one on the inside is missing paint, and then there is a tiny one on her lower lip. Both look t me like they could have happened while making the doll. Just like someone was in a hurry? Not like someone did that while playing with doll. Her body and face match in skin tone, light, and evenly flesh toned. Hard to see but I noticed some superficial minor scratches on lower leg. Her body and limbs are nice and tight. She has NO GREEN, NO NECK SPLITS, and I do see earring holes, in one picture maybe 2 or 3? She never had nail polish on her toes and only some remains on hands. I did add some green HONG KONG mules to her outfit and noticed that only those very early shoes fit her. Her one foot, in my opinion, is just a tiny bit maybe one millimeter shorter than the other. ???!!! I suspect she might just be one of those '" TRANSITIONAL " Barbies, since Mattel never threw any parts away, you decide, ask away. Please. Her outfit is the original color magic blouse and skirt, in nice but a bit faded, condition, all snaps work fine. I am including the pants, but they are also a bit faded, and are discolored in some area. Fit so well. Shoes fit her perfectly. Almost forgot, she had a yellow and green headband originally, it was in very old shape, I cleaned it and salvaged what I could, tied together, that's what you see in pictures. DESCRIPTION: Vintage Barbie Ponytail #2 Original Body NECK KNOB: Fully intact. Zero chips. TORSO: As seen, faint dimples and "nipples", to the bust. The rear has orange staining, the Barbie T.M. stamp is perfect. (The dark dot on Barbie's back has been removed, it was a piece of glitter). ARMS: Both have the rubber feel, slight discoloration near the hands. Faint dimples to the vinyl near each upper arm. HANDS: All fingers are intact as well as the original red polish. Light surface dirt is present in between Barbie's fingers. As you can see, her hands are larger. LEGS: Both legs are straight, one heavy scratch to the inner left leg, near Barbie's knee (revealing a pale white). The back has what appears to be orange "Sharpie" stains. Please advise, the color is not 100% consistent on the legs due to the ink bleeding. Barbie's left foot has a slight flesh tint when compared to her right foot. The foot that is stamped JAPAN is more pale in color (ivory). The legs are functioning, however, I do not recommend placing her in the sitting position due to her age. I've only done so for the photograph. The Barbie body weighs 5.2 ounces. STAMP: Legible JAPAN stamp with a rectangle box around the lettering. Horizontal JAPAN print. All joints/limbs are tight. Zero repairs to the Barbie body. ORIGINAL BARBIE #2 BODY FROM 1960. Vintage 1966 Color Magic Hi-Color Ruby Red/Midnight Hair Barbie w/Closet/Acces
Beautiful 1966 ALL Original High Color Ruby Red/Midnight Color Magic with her closet and 3 NRFP Accessories, plus booklet with original shoes and original Color Magic Booklet, describing the "how too's" and stylng tips. She has beautiful ALL original face color, cheek's, eyes and lips are nice and bright, no rubs noted. Her "Right" eyebrow is "shorter" than the left, not sure if that is from a "rub" or factory. Her Hair is full, no missing plugs, but NOT thick. There are a few strands of "Black" hair mixed in with the Ruby Red, I can't honestly tell you if her hair had been changed and then changed back, I don't remember. I tried to get pictures, but I'm not a photographer, so apologies.NO Green Ear, no earring holes present.Her Body is in good condition, no loose limbs, however arm's are darkening and leg's are paling in some areas. Not sure if a good spa day would help this or not, I am not an expert.Her knees bend and click 3 times each, and there are no rips or tears anywhere on her body. The bottom of her feet are "dirty" and I attempted to get a pix of that.I am sorry that I was unable to give this girl a bath prior to sale, my age has gotten in the way.She has original nail polish on both hands (faint on Left), and none on her toes. As to the "closet", her box, it is missing the piece on the back that had a "clip" which was her "stand", that held her securely in the box, also the hanger extension and hanger. It has been broken/cracked at one end, both the purple bottom and the clear top due to play, age, storage, etc. Included is a NRFP set of ribbons and I think barettes ?, also the original color changers A and B, although I don't think I would use them due to age. Longer page-boy rare side-part style, ash blond hair color with bendable legs and painted facial features with blue eyes and eyeliner. She is wearing the original one piece swimsuit of solid turquoise blue bottom, multi-striped top, no shoes. Head/Face - No green ears. All hair still present. Head turns freely. No blemishes or marks. Eyeliner and lips missing small amount of color. Hands/Arms - swing freely and hold a pose. Most nail polish is intact. All fingers present with no chew marks. Torso - no marks or blemishes. Legs/Feet - legs have some marks, feet have minimal bite marks. Knees work, each having 3 clicks. Hips are somewhat loose. Left leg will hold pose.
