eBay It's October 27th. If the house doesn't sell right away I will be changing it to a bidding auction with the starting bid at 1600. I've seen what these go for in bidding every single one of them went for higher than this......and none of them had as much furniture or better condition as far as the pink not being faded or discolored at all. Someone is sure to appreciate this house! *Got my first message that the link to the album isn't working. I added a different pic of the link so maybe it will fix the problem. I tested it from a different browser and it opened right up. Message me if you're having difficulty and I'll try to help. This listing had over 100 watchers when I ended it. I had it sold and the sale fell through unexpectedly. I have since completely disassembled it without any of the plastic pieces breaking or losing any hardware. No stripped screws. Everything remained intact. I have updated the album as well. You can find the link in the last picture. Please make sure to read the info on the last pic as well for the opportunity to get this cheaper than it's listed for now. There are close to 200 pictures of the house from empty to completely set up and arranged to disassembled and ready for shipping. There's even a video of the washer and dryer working. Also showing all the lights working. Every detail I could think of is in that album. It's a big purchase as it was also a huge labor of love to get all those photos of the different stages. There are only a few of these listed every year. It was appraised in August at over 2k and now in October its gone up another 200 dollars. As it gets closer to the holiday season it will only go up. The amount of original pieces and extras is incredible. I've also had several collectors point out the fact that mine doesn't have all the discoloration that's found with MOST of these that aren't new in box. And that's because it's been stored in a walk in closet with no windows or direct sunlight for years. This is about the best price you're going to find this for, especially with this many furniture sets and accessories that are in WORKING order and the excellent condition of the pink paint and the glitter sides of the house. There are also the stickers that go on all the little food and beverage items. Those always come off over time because of the adhesive staying power after over 30 years. But they are intact stickers that just fell off and were saved.....they can EASILY be reattached by the new owner. Important disclaimer MANY won't ship this because it's huge and fragile. It's over 30 years old after all. It will come DISASSEMBLED to fit in a box. Pictures have been taken of every single piece of this process to avoid any possible return requests. Some level of wear and tear should be expected and I am NOT responsible for any damage incurred putting it back together. This will come fully insured and has signature delivery confirmation, which is required of any item over $750 on ebay. The item is cross posted as I am not new to ecommerce or even this selling platform. Keep in mind that part of the insurance policy says the item can't be put back in transit or it voids the policy. 1985 COMPLETE, VINTAGE 1978 MATTEL BARBIE DREAM HOUSE Factory Box Furniture Rare
This Barbie house was bought in 1985 for Christmas was played with for a few days then put back up in the closet in a large Rubbermaid container. It was put back in the original factory box and shrink wrap. As you can see I've taken many photos to show their the condition . It looks to have been one piece of new tape that was put across the seam as the other tape being too old. The box is not perfect ..but Very good..Great graphics...but it's still holds itself well. I've never seen a factory box with an original Sears label on it. Also at the time when the it was put away in the closet....the gentleman took photographs... Polaroid snapshots of all of the accessories and pieces that were packed neatly back in the box as he was very meticulous person...so those are to show what exactly comes with this set I believe it to be 100% complete and not a Barbie expert. but I also bought a bunch of other dolls from this guy that you'll be seeing here on my eBay site so you have any questions please ask them and thank you This is a rare and pretty sure complete vintage 1985 Mattel Barbie Dream House, including the original factory box. This rare and very hard to find (VHTF in title) Barbie Dream House from Mattel from 1964 is in surprisingly very good condition considering it is 60 years old.This was my wife's pride and joy when she was about 10 years old. The house does show minimal wear in a few areas as should be expected from a children's toy that is made out of cardboard. All the furniture and fixtures that are in the photos including the miniature cereal boxes, that are in the kitchen cupboard, are included in this auction Unopened the house measures 22X10X16 and weighs 8 1/2 pounds. Please refer to the photo with the yardstick to get an idea of the size when it is fully opened up. This fully furnished house will make the perfect Christmas gift this year for a new generation of Barbie fans! Item includes original flower beds, multiple dining sets, bed sets, make-up table and much much more!!A note to potential buyers: This toy is being sold by its original owner who got many years of enjoyment with this toy as a young girl. With that being said, please remember that this toy is nearly 40 years old, and some parts will have some yellowing, and will be somewhat brittle and show some cracking, so make sure to handle this toy gently, especially during assembly. Most of the accessories are still in great shape, but one of the dining room chair legs needed some TLC so we did glue it back on. Two of pink doors on the back of the house can be installed and will function, but their pins are somewhat loose and can cause the door to fall out. The only other accessory that we were unable to glue back completely was the candlestick. We offer this information in an effort to be as transparent as possible.
