I am offering this rare and highly sought after #2 Vintage Brunette Ponytail Barbie from 1959 for sale. This is my doll which was given to me by my grandmother when I was 6 years old. She taught me to take very good care of her. I tried to do that. My husband has recently passed away and I am faced with financial challenges. Beautiful Vintage #1 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner OG Stand & Collection!
RARE FIND! Number One Blonde Ponytail Barbie with the Original Early Fashions, Pronged TM Mattel #1 Stand Accessories and Case Little nine year old Alice received the first issue Barbie teenage fashion doll for Christmas in 1959. Mattel’s Barbie had just made her debut at the International Toy show in New York. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special number one Barbie with the original “one owner” childhood collection. It includes many early fashions, complete with the jewelry and accessories This Ponytail Barbie is stunning with her cute upturned nose and signature ponytail. She has dramatic lightning shaped eyebrows and handpainted makeup ; blue side glancing eyes, blue eyeliner, smoky eye shadow, coral red lips, red fingernails and toenails. She’s truly stunning and in remarkable condition for being 64 years old. She is 99% original and retains most of her original factory characteristics This number one blonde ponytail has the extended hairline, which is different from the number threes and later dolls. She is very unusual and rare in that she has two distinctly different hairlines from left to right. Her right side is curved and differs from the straighter hairline on the left. She is wearing her original hairstyle set with the top knot and hard curl at the bottom. The ponytail has been retied with matching colored thread as the band was shot. Her hair is uncut and she has no missing plugs. She has a flocked scalp, silky floss hair in baby chick yellow, full poodle bangs with well defined curls and a cute spit curl on her forehead. Her make up is excellent. as is the the nail and toenail polish. She has all of the correct markings on her bottom; Mattel Barbie TM, 1958 in Roman numerals, pat pending and the number 65. She is marked Japan on the bottom of one foot. Her limbs are nice and tight, but she is able to hold any pose. Her neck moves freely, and there are no issues. She has beautiful and even creamy, pale pinkish ivory body color which is amazing as I e usually sees a in e sort of fading . She has beautiful straight legs with the desired daylight shown only between the thigh and knee , and knee and ankle…A sign of classical beauty with models. She has holes in each of her feet with the original copper tubes present. And she even has her original Mattel TM two prong stand which is very valuable! She has had very minor work done.. a professional restoration to her right pinky and a little touch up to her eyelash ridges. There was also one teeny pinpoint freckle on her left leg just below the knee that has been touched up to match the body color . If you look closely at the photos, you will see how gorgeous this doll is. I have not seen one in original condition that is this outstanding. Barbie has a boyfriend , Ken, who will be listed in a separate listing. Blonde Barbie comes with her original iconic black and white swimsuit, white cat, eyeglasses, black, OT mules with holes. Thankfully her feet do not have any of the staining that is typical with these Barbies. She also has her original gold bangle, hoop earrings! One hole per ear and no green ear! How perfect is this girl?! She is FABULOUS! It was so fun to find Barbie in her original little nest with all the fun boxes and precious accessories that Alice had lovingly kept and preserved. You can tell that this Barbie was truly loved and treasured. Alice did not let other children touch or play with her doll :-)*** This collection would not be complete without a photo of little Alice in December of 1959 around the time that she received this Barbie for Christmas. RARE 1959 Original Vintage #1 Brunette Ponytail Barbie Doll with clothes. This was my wife's 10th birthday present in 1959, and she has kept it lovingly ever since. This Barbie is in very good condition. She has the holes in her feet to hold her up in the included original stand (which has a cosmetic chip on the back side). The copyright marking is visible on her right buttock. Her right foot has the word JAPAN on the bottom.She has white irises and sharply arched eyebrows. All of her features are original. Her ponytail has never been taken down. This is the exact model shown on the Wikipedia page about the introduction of Barbie at the American International Toy Fair on March 9, 1959, Barbie's official birthday. The front and back covers are detached, but present. Most of the included items of clothing are from the original catalog. The red plaid wool coat has a Barbie label from a later time. The shirt of the riding outfit is from #967 Picnic Set. The other pieces of that outfit are not labeled. Vintage Barbie Roman Holiday TM
eBay Up for bid is this stunning TM Barbie label; the original Roman Holiday outfit including its original brass compact with engraved B; year manufactured 1959, No. 968. This is an ultra rare opportunity to acquire this part of Barbie history for your collection. This outfit is considered the "Holy Grail" of Barbie collecting and the complete TM version is an even rarer find in this condition!The little brass compact is about 10.5 mm or 3/8" across and has the engraved "B" on it's cover. It is fully functional with the hinge intact. The little pink puff is missing however. The compact is so hard to find because years ago many of these little items were thrown out or swept up in mom's vacuum cleaner!! The outfit includes the dress and belt with a matching red and white ribbed coat with red half lining and gold buttoned front and in back pocket fronts with gold buttons. The Barbie Tag on coat is the original TM version. This Vintage Mattel #2 Ponytail Barbie is an original, authentic piece without any touch-ups. With a doll size of 11 inches, it is a rare and valuable addition to any collection. I purchased this doll from Marl (Marl&B) and Barbie was authenticated by her.She is in Excellent condition. I did replace the rubber band in her hair as the original rotted. She has red marks on top of feet from shoes I would imagine, but the marks are covered by her shoes. Her legs are lighter than the rest of her body. I put stockings on her and that makes her legs blend nicely with the rest of her body.I will include her original bathing suit in excellent condition and not pictured. The outfit Barbie is wearing is a reproduction. I will also include the stand.She is a beautiful doll. She has no bad odors and has been kept in a glass case.If you have any questions, please email. VINTAGE BRUNETTE BARBIE #3 DOLL in VINTAGE GAY PARISIENNE #964 COMPLETE *RARE* VINTAGE BRUNETTE BARBIE #3 DOLL in VINTAGE GAY PARISIENNE #964 COMPLETE *RARE* Description Vintage Brunette Barbie #3 in Original Gay Parisienne #964 Vintage #3 Brunette Barbie Doll from 1960 wearing one of the hardest to find collectible outfits from 1959 - she is ready for her night out in Paris! The Vintage Barbie Gaye Parisienne #964 ensemble was released in 1959. Vintage Barbie Gay Parisienne combined couture design with elegant accessories to create one of the most successful designs of 1959. The dress is a deep blue rayon taffeta bubble dress and is in minty comdition. Same fabric bows trimmed in white adorn the hem in front and the top of the zipper closing in the back. The hat is a matching blue tulle veiled headband. The white satin lined faux fur stole is in great condition. The small gold velvet clutch has a gold bead closure and is lined in white satin. The white gloves, pearl necklace and gold hoop earrings complete the ensemble. This vintage ensemble is rare and hard to find, as it was only produced in 1959. Barbie is also in Excellent condition - she is the #3 Ponytail Barbie but her face has been painted to resemble a #1/#2 Barbie - she has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. Her hair is still in the original ponytail but her bangs are not good and have been styled to match the Paris outfit she is wearing - she still has a curl at the bottom of the ponytail. She has no green ear but holes for earrings are a bit darker. She has green dot on the back of the neck from the necklace clasp and a few indents around the front of her neck where the necklace has been sitting for so long - see pics. Vintage #3 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner Stand Accessories Box 850
eBay Stunning Original 1959 Blonde #3 Ponytail Barbie with Original Swimsuit, Sunglasses Stand Booklet and Case Fresh from a one owner estate comes this beautiful original blonde ponytail Barbie from 1959. Stock model number 850.. the original teenage fashion, model doll! She is the third issue Mattel Barbie and is in wonderful untouched original condition with no touchups. She has her original hard curl on her ponytail, which has been retied with a matching colored thread. She has that beautiful, baby chick, soft blonde floss hair with a flocked scalp. No missing plugs. And a beautiful full array of curly poodle bangs with a Darling spit curl coming down onto her forehead. She has a beautiful face with side, glancing blue eyes and blue eyeliner. This is one of the more rare versions of Ponytail Barbie as the majority of the #3’s had brown eyeliner . In the Barbie Bazaar magazine, there is a reference to some rare transitional number three Barbies, and this is one of those rare Barbies. For the most part she has even pinkish Body color, some very light fading from her waist to her upper torso no doubt from wearing her swimsuit for many years. The third issue dolls were prone to fading almost completely to white so it is nice that this girl has retained a lot of her original color. She is simply stunning . She retains quite a lot of her fingernail polish. Her right pinky has a darkened tip but no damage. Wonderful original make up with some fading to the lips and a little area at the very end of her left eyebrow .This girl is original with NO TOUCH UPS! And she has the heady smell of crayons ;0). No chew marks, holes or other problems to note. One whole per ear. She is on a solid TM body and has clear markings on her bottom. Number 26 on her left bottom cheek, and Barbie TM Patent Pending, 1958 in Roman numerals by Mattel Japan, Marked Japan on bottom of foot. She comes with an original stock 850 box which is in fantastic condition with very vibrant graphics. The Gay Parisienne version. It is one of the best boxes I have ever seen with virtually no fading, it almost looks new. Amazing! . There is one indented end and the date 1959 has been circled but otherwise the boxes fantastic. A beautiful example of a 1959 #1 ponytail Barbie! She comes with her original swimsuit, shoes, booklet and sunglasses She does not come with her original stand or the white stand pictured in the photos.
