Beautiful Vintage #1 Ponytail Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner OG Stand & Collection!
RARE FIND! Number One Blonde Ponytail Barbie with the Original Early Fashions, Pronged TM Mattel #1 Stand Accessories and Case Little nine year old Alice received the first issue Barbie teenage fashion doll for Christmas in 1959. Mattel’s Barbie had just made her debut at the International Toy show in New York. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special number one Barbie with the original “one owner” childhood collection. It includes many early fashions, complete with the jewelry and accessories This Ponytail Barbie is stunning with her cute upturned nose and signature ponytail. She has dramatic lightning shaped eyebrows and handpainted makeup ; blue side glancing eyes, blue eyeliner, smoky eye shadow, coral red lips, red fingernails and toenails. She’s truly stunning and in remarkable condition for being 64 years old. She is 99% original and retains most of her original factory characteristics This number one blonde ponytail has the extended hairline, which is different from the number threes and later dolls. She is very unusual and rare in that she has two distinctly different hairlines from left to right. Her right side is curved and differs from the straighter hairline on the left. She is wearing her original hairstyle set with the top knot and hard curl at the bottom. The ponytail has been retied with matching colored thread as the band was shot. Her hair is uncut and she has no missing plugs. She has a flocked scalp, silky floss hair in baby chick yellow, full poodle bangs with well defined curls and a cute spit curl on her forehead. Her make up is excellent. as is the the nail and toenail polish. She has all of the correct markings on her bottom; Mattel Barbie TM, 1958 in Roman numerals, pat pending and the number 65. She is marked Japan on the bottom of one foot. Her limbs are nice and tight, but she is able to hold any pose. Her neck moves freely, and there are no issues. She has beautiful and even creamy, pale pinkish ivory body color which is amazing as I e usually sees a in e sort of fading . She has beautiful straight legs with the desired daylight shown only between the thigh and knee , and knee and ankle…A sign of classical beauty with models. She has holes in each of her feet with the original copper tubes present. And she even has her original Mattel TM two prong stand which is very valuable! She has had very minor work done.. a professional restoration to her right pinky and a little touch up to her eyelash ridges. There was also one teeny pinpoint freckle on her left leg just below the knee that has been touched up to match the body color . If you look closely at the photos, you will see how gorgeous this doll is. I have not seen one in original condition that is this outstanding. Barbie has a boyfriend , Ken, who will be listed in a separate listing. Blonde Barbie comes with her original iconic black and white swimsuit, white cat, eyeglasses, black, OT mules with holes. Thankfully her feet do not have any of the staining that is typical with these Barbies. She also has her original gold bangle, hoop earrings! One hole per ear and no green ear! How perfect is this girl?! She is FABULOUS! It was so fun to find Barbie in her original little nest with all the fun boxes and precious accessories that Alice had lovingly kept and preserved. You can tell that this Barbie was truly loved and treasured. Alice did not let other children touch or play with her doll :-)*** This collection would not be complete without a photo of little Alice in December of 1959 around the time that she received this Barbie for Christmas. The photo is included here and a printed copy along with the original provenance of this doll will come with the collection upon request Barbie will come with her original white Ponytail case , dated 1961. Beautiful Vint #1 Bru. Braid Barbie Doll 1959 One Owner repro Stand & Clothing
I am downsizing my personal dolls. This is my original Barbie doll. She is in wonderful condition as I was taught to "play nice" with my toys and keep them in good condition as we were not a wealthy family. The clothing is TM and R tagged as I did have a #3, but we went on a trip to the ocean, Barbie went swimming, and I can only assume that she ended up back in Japan! The rubber bands were rotted, so I replaced them. Other than this, her hair is in its original set. As a child, I did comb her bangs out straight, which I think can be reset. There are no trims or missing plugs, and her braided ponytail is how I got her. I think my mom hunted for a doll that had the same hair style that I always wore. I am including a reproduction #3 stand that was made by some friends of mine who work in the aerospace industry and are the same dimensions as the original #3 stand. All of the clothing is in near mint to mint condition with no flaws that I can find except for some fraying on the ends of the tags. The only other flaw that I can see is that the fish has some dents in it which is typical. There are a few pairs of black #1 shoes, the rest were for my #3's outfits. The case is missing the drawer. There are two versions of rolling pins, and I have no idea of how I got two except maybe from my neighbor who played dolls with me. Barbie has slight rubs on the leading edge of her lashes. Her earrings are original, and there is no green ear. There looks to be soil and she could use a bath. She is marked on her behind BARBIE TM PATS PEND MCMLVIII MATTEL INC.The bottom of her foot is stamped JAPAN inside of a square indented box, a very early #1 marking. The brass tubes are still in her feet, and they are not loose. Her limbs are all tight and she holds a pose. She smells like crayons. The pink phone is not included, I will try to find the outfit that it goes with and sell it later. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Incredible collection of 400 Barbie dolls. All Barbies are in their original boxes and in brand-new condition. On some boxes (about 20-30), the plastic protective part has cracked, and a few boxes are slightly dented, but the dolls inside are new. In some boxes, a few accessories might be missing (e.g., a shoe or a comb). The dress is a deep blue rayon taffeta bubble dress and is in minty comdition. Same fabric bows trimmed in white adorn the hem in front and the top of the zipper closing in the back. The hat is a matching blue tulle veiled headband. The white satin lined faux fur stole is in great condition. The small gold velvet clutch has a gold bead closure and is lined in white satin. The white gloves, pearl necklace and gold hoop earrings complete the ensemble. This vintage ensemble is rare and hard to find, as it was only produced in 1959. Barbie is also in Excellent condition - she is the #3 Ponytail Barbie but her face has been painted to resemble a #1/#2 Barbie - she has no loose limbs, no cracks. She has faded to a fairly even ivory color and she smells like crayons. She has all her red finger and toe nail polish. Her hair is still in the original ponytail but her bangs are not good and have been styled to match the Paris outfit she is wearing - she still has a curl at the bottom of the ponytail. She has no green ear but holes for earrings are a bit darker. She has green dot on the back of the neck from the necklace clasp and a few indents around the front of her neck where the necklace has been sitting for so long - see pics. Her makeup is nice and bright! Overall this is a Gorgeous doll and she is ready to be a show stopper in your vintage Barbie display. Vintage 1960s Barbie doll Midge - extra head freckles blue eyes brunette red
1960s barbie doll marked Midge and Barbie, and also "Japan" on the bottom of the foot. The doll has brunette or black hair, ponytail style, blue eyeshadow, pearl earrings, straight legs, red painted toenails and fingernails, red lips and is in great condition. The case I bought this with also had a Midge head, freckles, strawberry blonde or reddish blonde hair. Also in nice condition, with blue eyes. Vintage 1958 Mattel "Ponytail Barbie" Doll w/ Zebra Swimsuit & Pink Dress
This is a vintage 1958 Mattel "Ponytail Barbie " Doll with a zebra swimsuit (just like in the movie!).It is a highly collectible item for any Barbie enthusiast. The doll stands at 11 inches in height, has stunning blue eyes and used to have curly blonde/reddish bangs and straight hair in pony tail (now the hair looks like barbie has bed-head). It belongs to the product line of "Ponytail Barbie". This doll has red lipstick and red painted fingernails and toes. However the paint on the toes is very faded and she is missing the little finger on her right hand. Condition and Cleaning: There is no green discoloring at the ear holes, her nose is intact. I cleaned her with water, elbow grease and a few drops of dawn. See updated photos. The stains on her shoulders, butt, elbows & calves all came off. There is a red stain (pen?) on her upper arm that did not come off.
