RARE VINTAGE 1959 ORIGINAL #2 PONYTAIL BARBIE DOLL AND TM BOX - ALL ORIG PAINT!
Lovely #2 Ponytail Barbie doll with all original paint. She has a beautiful, evenly faded body; no nips, chews, green ear or neck splits. Her face is very pretty. Her hair is missing a two plugs on the back of her neck under her ponytail; it is hard to see and does not detract from her. Her bangs are nice; her ponytail has been retied and her hard curl restored. She will come with her original #2 T.M. pedestal stand made from a #1 two-pronged stand. The true #2 stands are very different from the later pedestal stands: the hole for the wire is actually in one of the locations where a prong would have been on the #1 stand. The later pedestal stands have the hole farther back on the stand. If you look at the bottom of the pedestal base on a #2 stand, you will see where the two prongs for the #1 stand would have been. She will also come with her original T.M. box (one end slightly faded), zebra striped swimsuit, open toed sandals, and cat eye sunglasses. She would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection. Vintage Barbie #3 #2 Japan Foot Brunette Ponytail Doll TM Box Early Stand +
Beautiful #3 Brunette ponytail doll comes with everything shown - her original TM box, 2 splits on top, graphics in overall nice condition, some staining on the box bottom - her body still has pretty nice coloring - no neck splits or nose nips, hair is in original set, a little messy, and even has the bottom band still in place, it is difficult to see in photos but it is a brown band and is dry and hard - no loose limbs, head swivels as it should - she has Japan in a box on the bottom of her foot - no green ear ever - all original makeup, little factory flaw of her brown eyeliner on one eye extending towards her nose - original swimsuit, sunglasses, black #1 open toe heels marked Japan with holes, gold hoop earrings - early TM stand with the pedestal hole more inward from the outer edge than the later TM stands, chip at hole area, pedestal has some aging/rusting to it - this doll and her accessories are just as I received her from her original owner who took loving care of her. I have never cleaned her, so she does have some age related marks on her. I can supply more photos if you require. U.S. Sales OnlyThis wonderful collection was purchased by me in 1980 at an estate sale in a small town in rural Missouri. I have kept the pieces together since then, but now it's time to let it go.Everything is vintage original - no reproductions Lot includes 1960 #3 blonde ponytail Barbie doll, brunette 1961 #1 flocked Ken doll, the first 1963 Midge doll and a 1963 Fashion Queen Barbie with her three wigs, numerous outfits and accessories that have had very little, if any, play, and the majority of which are in clean, crispy near mint to mint condition. Also included are three fashion booklets, numerous plastic hangers, 2 vinyl cases and the four doll stands Description notes:1960 #3 Barbie has the harder to find blue eyeliner. The tip of her right brow was light and has been lightly touched up. She has a tiny scuff on the bridge of her nose (see photo #14), not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. There is a small brown spot in the vinyl on her left upper torso below the arm (see photo #16). Her legs have paled just a bit over the years but have never been replaced or exchanged. Her blonde ponytail is long, soft and full with no trims or missing plugs. All limbs are tight. No green or neck splits. Original b/w swimsuit, glasses and shoes.1961 1st Ken doll, nm, with flocked brunette hair. No rubs on his flocking. Original swim suit and sandals.1963 1st early Brunette Midge doll, nm. Has the googly eyes common to some of the earliest Midges, and a wide stance. The pink top of her original swimsuit is in fair condition with a run on the back and seam out around the bottom.1963 Fashion Queen Barbie nm with original turban and swimsuit. The teeth of the zipper on her swimsuit are off track and don't interlock, but the zipper goes up and down to connect at top and bottom.The two cases have average wear; tape has been added to the right side of the pink case.Numerous original Barbie and Ken clothing and accessories in crisp, clean, nm/mint condition. Most appear to have never been played with, and most outfits are complete or nearly so. Large numbers and variety of original shoes. Offering for your consideration is a wonderful, very large vintage collection of Barbie, Francie and Midge dolls. There is an American Girl, two ponytails (I think a #5 and #6), an early Bubble Cut, Francie and Midge dolls. I'm including 26 vintage Barbie outfits and six vintage Francie doll outfits. A total of 22 of the 32 outfits are complete and there are NO reproductions in this auction!Please note: I purchased this lot in 2013 from two sisters who are lifelong friends of mine. Everything has been played with, however the items have always been very well taken care of and loved. I'll give a complete description below. I know it is very long, but I think when you buy an auction, the more you know the better it is, and I want you to be really happy with your purchase! So grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the pictures and description. Thank you.Doll DescriptionsSummary - All of the dolls have no green ear! The American Girl, Francie and Midge don't even have earring holes. All dolls have blonde hair in various shades. There are NO neck splits, missing fingers or toes, and NO nose nips or damage to eyelash ridges. They are very clean, no musty or smoking odors. Each doll will have her correct swimsuit and heels when she arrives.American Girl - very nice condition. Great hair and makeup is still good, lip color is peachy. Body markings are correct. Knees click three times and and hold three times. Nail polish is very good, there is some missing. Does not look like she ever had toe polish. Right leg has a very small space between leg and body. Left leg has two tiny indents on the calf. Please see picture, it is the one with Francie's mark on her thigh.First Ponytail - Original topknot, I can barely see rubber band, it has almost disappeared. She has pretty hair, it is not braided, she does have some flyaways. Lower rubber band missing. I think she is a #5, has Barbie only body. Winning bidder may prefer to have this dolls face paint restored as it is faded or gone completely and paint is missing on one eye. She is the oldest doll in collection also. Nail polish is still good, toe polish is missing on a few of her toes. Right arm is swingy when down, will hold a pose however. Right ankle turns in a tiny bit.Second Ponytail - Original topknot, rubber band on top knot is mostly gone. Great looking bangs, ponytail is braided, some flyaways. No lower rubber band, I added the ribbon. Not sure if braid is factory. I'm pretty sure she is a #6, has Midge - Barbie body. Face paint is pretty, faded on lips and eyebrows. Super tiny dot on chin, this is hard to see. Nail polish is good, I see no toe polish. Right leg is a tad shorter. Right foot has super tiny mark on side of little toe. Nice body.Francie - Excellent doll. Has eyelashes, very pretty face, straight waist. Hair is pretty, long, with a nice curl. Knees click times three, hold times two. Correct markings on bottom. I don't think she ever had nail or toe polish. Tiny blue mark on side of left thigh (please see picture). I can see the beginning of a faint split on the top of her left foot too.Bubble Cut - Excellent condition, Barbie only body. Very pretty hair, her makeup is super nice, her lips are fab! Slightly greasy face. Nail polish is faint, I see no toe polish. Great body, slight swing to right arm when down.Midge - Excellent condition, has Midge - Barbie body. Pretty face paint, hair is curled, few flyaways. Both her nail and toe polish is very good.OutfitsSummary- I've shown the dolls wearing some of the outfits and tried to show all outfits in the pictures. All the zippers work and are YKK. The snaps are present. One side of the snap is coming off the Plantation Belle slip. Most Barbie R tags are present, some are frayed. Note: There is no tag on the Dancing Doll dress, however I'm sure it is vintage. There are NO seam tears, hems coming out, or major stains. Some of the white material in the clothes is a little cream colored. I'll list the complete outfits first, and any issues I'll point out as best I can on all the outfits. If you have questions, please email. If the outfit has open toe heels, they are marked Japan on the left, no splits on any. The outfits with the cork wedgies have them too. Closed toe heels are included if the outfit is supposed to have them, unless I state otherwise.There are three pictures where I have tried to show the issues that I'll point out in the descriptions below. NOTE: I consider the majority of these items to be in Excellent or better condition! There are some HTF or VHTF accessories included in this auction and I've also included a picture of some of these items.Complete Outfits -1. American Airline Stewardess - Excellent+ condition.2. Busy Gal - includes VHTF Navy Blue Open Toe heels. This outfit is in Excellent Condition.3. Career Girl - beautiful condition, hat is cool!4. Club Meeting - Looks unplayed with!5. Dancing Doll - no tag on dress. Everything is in wonderful condition!6. Dinner at Eight - Beautiful condition. Both cork sandals have splits on their bottom, but the splits are hard to see.7. Friday Night Date - Very pretty classic Barbie outfit, HTF straws are included8. Garden Party - still very pretty.9. Lunchtime - there were no shoes with this outfit. HTF Tea kettle works, so does toaster. Toast is here too! Pans and toaster have a few light marks/rubs. The belt has a small indent hear the end, but no hole.10. Movie Date - great condition.11. Open Road - This was a favorite outfit of the sisters. No toggles on coat. Red chiffon on scarf has several small holes and a very tiny stain on brim. HTF wedgies are in great shape, however there is glue on one of the cork sandals where the strap was repaired. (Please see pictures)12. Peachy Fleecy - In great condition. There is hardly any of the feather left on the hat.13. Plantation Belle - this was a favorite outfit too. There is no jewelry. Slip has frayed ribbon and snap hanging by a thread. Hat has one band that is bent.14. Picnic Set - HTF fish is not cracked, has a couple of minor rubs on each side. Fishing pole has line and sinker. Will display well! The hat is so fun! Cork wedgies are awesome. Favorite outfit!15. Resort Set - Great condition, has the original HTF bracelet. Cork wedgies are very nice.16. Senior Prom - The gown is in Excellent condition. No pearls on shoes. Please see picture17. Sheath with Gold Buttons, RUST color with mini white dots. Super condition.18. Spectator Sport - has VHTF belt! Has gold dimpled purse and I'm including the VHTF striped knit purse and Mustard Color Open Toe heels.19. Suburban Shopper - has original HTF drop pearl necklace. One of the fruits in the purse is split, just a little on top, not the entire piece of fruit. Hat bands are a bit bent. Super classic vintage Barbie outfit.20. Theatre Date - no hat version21. Winter Holiday - jacket is still soft and flexible. Has super HTF belt. Cork wedgies are awesome!Incomplete Barbie Outfits1. Crisp 'n Cool - no gloves2. Vtg 1960s Mattel Ken Allan Ricky Doll LOT w/Original Boxes Clothes & Accessories
Massive vintage 1960s Mattel Ken, Allan, and Ricky doll lot with hundreds of pieces of original black tag clothing and accessories. Lot includes 18 boxed dolls, 4 of which are Ricky dolls, 4 are Allan dolls, and 10 are Kens, some molded hair and some flocked hair, 12 unboxed dolls which include 1 Ricky, 2 Allans and the 9 molded hair Kens, some blondes and some brunettes, each boxed dolls wearing the original swimsuit sets, but 2 Ricky dolls are dressed in his original outfits. Each box also has a mini catalog (except a couple of the Ricky boxes) and a wire stand. The other dolls are all dressed in original black tag Ken outfits. In addition, there are approximately 30 additional separately packaged outfits, not necessarily complete, 6 pak items in original packaging, some packaging tears and one accessory pak is incomplete, and approximately 25 separate bags of extra outfit pieces separated by outfit. These bags contain many multiples of clothing, shoes, and accessories. The bag of white items are all Ken tops, shorts and pants that need cleaning. Clothing pieces range in condition from tlc due to needing cleaning to mint. There may be missing snaps or loose hems, but I left out any I found that were hopeless. Two of the doll boxes are missing a flap on one end. One box has a lot of tape, and some have writing. The dolls are all in good condition. Some could use a cleaning, but none have any major condition issues noted. The flocked haired guys may have some missing flocking, but not a drastic amount. This is a huge lot that weighs 25 lbs. Vintage #3 PONYTAIL BARBIE BRUNETTE BLONDE BROWN EYELINER CLOTHES SHOES + LOT
Hi, you are bidding on this vintage stunning #3 Ponytail Barbie brunette and blonde pair of dolls wearing their original swimsuits, JAPAN black open toe shoes, sunglasses and comes with one original booklet that has "Commuter Set" pictured along with original clothes, shoes and accessories shown. Brunette Barbie has a gorgeous face with brown eyeliner, nice face paint and hint of blush still visible. She has no neck splits and no nose nips but has a teensiest faint tinge of green just around left earring hole that is hidden when earrings are in. Her hair is shiny and soft with no cuts and no missing hair plugs. Top band may be original, bottom band was replaced. Hair could use styling. Her original body is in lovely condition with most of her original fingernail and toenail polish. Barbie has a beautiful stance. She's marked, "Barbie T.M. MCMLVIII BY MATTEL, INC." on her bottom and JAPAN is long ways down foot. Her swimsuit displays well and is still stretchy at top. It could use a gentle soak. The JAPAN heels and original sunglasses are in good condition. Blonde Ponytail Barbie has a beautiful face. Her left eyebrow had paint loss so was touched up for display. She has no green ear, no neck splits and no nose nips. Her hair is shiny and soft. There are no missing hair plugs and not sure if it has had the slightest trim or if curls on end of ponytail were just pulled out. Hair will need styling. Her original body has the early pronounced chest/nipples that were later removed due to parent dissatisfaction ;)Body is in nice display condition marked, "Barbie T.M. MCMLVIII BY MATTEL, INC." with most of her original fingernail and toenail polish; JAPAN is written long ways down bottom of right foot. Her original swimsuit is in nice display condition but elastic at top is stretched. Sunglasses and JAPAN shoes are in good display condition. The booklet is nice for display. There was a name written on front that was erased. This booklet has Commuter Set pictured. "Apple Print Sheath #917" dress with original T.M. tag. Dress is in nice display condition. The zipper has some oxidation so is a little "slow" but still works fine and is secure. Also included is the complete Barbie fashion, "Party Date #958". Set includes: dress with gold glitter, gold dimple belt, matching gold dimple clutch purse and clear gold glitter JAPAN marked open toe heels. The dress has aged to more of a champagne color as shown so will need a gentle soak to brighten and remove some light age/storage spotting on bodice. The fabric still feels crisp and still has tons of glitter. The belt and purse are lovely. Shoes have darkened to a champagne color also so match well; they are missing some glitter but still pretty for display. Last is the near complete Barbie fashion, "Sweet Dreams #973" that includes baby doll yellow pajama set with original T.M. tag attached, hair ribbon, apple in original plastic, diary, alarm clock and light blue JAPAN marked open toe heels. The set is in very nice condition with stretchy elastic on bottoms and both bows still attached on bottoms. The ring on hair ribbon was replaced. Accessories are lovely. JAPAN heels are in good condition but the one without pom is not original to set. Shoe boxes, boxes for sunglasses and boxes for other accessories are included as shown along with hangers. BLACK METAL KAISER STANDS ARE INCLUDED. All items are from a pet and smoke free home.
